POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I installed 2 ACs last year, at the time of installation also one of the AC was not cooling enough and we asked for change, since it was just installed. That did not happen. Now I have complained that the AC has no gas and one technician visits and says we have raised the complaint been more than 48 hrs and the call does not connect and after 30 mins wait even if an executive picks the call he says we have forwarded it to the concerned department. They do not understand high priority, I had requested again and again that its a terrace room and we cannot sleep due to the hot weather in Delhi. They cannot provide a simple service of refilling the gas forget any major complaints. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.
My ratchet is giving me the gears.
I have a Craftsman ratchet that itself was a replacement from 3 years ago for a 30 year old tool. That it only lasted 3 years is a disappointment. I also wasn't aware that B&D had taken over the rights to Craftsman. They must be the monopoly on hand tools. It used to be that you could take a defective tool into the store and they would give you another one on the spot. Not anymore. You have to contact them and initiate a warranty claim. You supposedly get a shipping label from them and return it. After they "verify " that the tool is indeed broken, they send another one or it's equivalent replacement to you. So, I've been waiting for the shipping label for 4 days now even though they tell you it will arrive on the same day that you call. Not sure how long this whole process might take. It used to be that Craftsman made top quality hand tools with a no hassle exchange warranty. Those days seem to be gone. After 30 plus years with Craftsman, I may very well be switching brands. I will check to see if they are B&D affiliated.

Just wanted to know if I could actually buy current combos with the most up to date products. They want to sell old models at current model prices and when asked about getting current models in their combos, they say yes, and when you point out that they don't come with current. They decide not to bother saying anything again and don't end chat, so you can't sign back on to get a different agent.
Purchased a toaster
Purchased a toaster. When done it launches the toast out of the unit, in many cases onto the floor. Toast is only done on one side. The bottom of the toasted side is overdone. The top barely done at all. NEVER TAKE A CHANCE ON ANY B&D APPLIANCE.
Bust not dustbuster
Both customer service and dustbusters (which I have bought for decades) were deplorable. Bought a dustbuster which lasted one month. Contacted customer service; after a round of 45 emails and multiple phone calls (also while I was homebound with medical problems), finally replaced. Products don't hold charge at all. Customer service was the very worst of its kind, in particular a rep named Lorena. I will never buy a B&D product again.

Tuve la desgracia de comprar un aspirador de esta marca pensando que su prestigio le precedía, qué error. Es un aspirador que se para él solo y a veces se pone él solo en marcha otra vez, un desastre. BLACK+DECKER BXEH60016GB 12L let down by poor build quality
BLACK+DECKER BXEH60016GB 12L Smart Dehumidifier & Ionizer, 4 Modes, Quiet, 2.1L Water Tank, 24 Hour Timer, White. While the dehumidifier itself is good the handle is flimsy, poorly made and not up to the job of supporting the weight of the dehumidifier. You pick it up by the handle and you can feel it flex under the load. The handle has now snapped so transporting it about with the handle is no longer an option. It’s had about 18 months of use but the issue with the handle was there from the beginning clearly a design fault.

If I could’ve given zero stars, I would. I bought a Black & Decker toaster oven and air fryer. Last year October 2025, I noticed the bottom coils (?) weren’t working. I went ahead and put in a claim early Nov. so far (this is 3/6/26) I have yet to hear from them about a resolution. I have provided all of the photos they asked for & more. Fingers crossed I get a replacement or a refund 🤞

I purchased an espresso machine, but the lights kept flashing, and no coffee was coming out
I read all of the instructions in the troubleshooting and nothing seem to be working.
So, I went on the online chat to see if they could help on the helpline. They said they would send me to just answer which would cost a five dollar fully refundable fee. They moved me to just answer, and when I checked my credit card they had charged me $95.
So, I told just answer right away that I did not want their information, I Just wanted my $95 back. They sent me a message saying it was nonrefundable.
I went back to Black & Decker, but it was disabled on my computer, and I was unable to continue the conversation. I opened up a new one on my husband‘s iPad, explained that I was charged $95 when I was told I was going to be charged five dollars, and they said OK we understand that you charge $95 instead of five dollars and then they just sent me back to just answer and then disabled me on that iPad. Don’t ever buy a black And Decker appliance. I know I never will again absolutely horrible.

A great company!!!! In particular Symon Pallattao who decided to send me a charger cord free of charge for my cordless vacuum. Not enough can be said for how appreciative I am for this young man. Give this guy a raise or promotion. Truly a gem in customer service. Thank you Symon. May God bless you ten fold!!!!

Brought a black and decker smart home dehumidifier and paid extra for this feature. Upon trying to connect to wifi/phone app it wouldnt connect.
I reached out to BLACK+DECKER customer support and gave them my model number and there response was there was a misprint and is not a wifi model. Here's there response

Please note that the BXEH60016GBL dehumidifier does not have Wi-Fi functionality and cannot be connected to an app or smart home system. All controls and settings are operated directly from the unit’s control panel.
We are aware that the user manual references Wi-Fi connectivity. Unfortunately, this is a printing error, and we sincerely apologise for any confusion this may have caused. The documentation has since been corrected; however, manuals included with stock already supplied to retailers cannot be amended.

Terrible experience and will never purchase anything from this company again. The customer service is more of a waste of time than any service as they told me they are unable to do anything and cannot help me in any way. The people were rude and said I can’t contact anyone in the company for help. I am now stuck with a blender I cannot use or return and they refuse to provide any type of assistance. 0/10 do not buy if you expect any type of future support warranty included or not.

Après envoi des pièces justificatives, réception d'un mail indiquant que le code barres est illisible !! donc renvoi des pièces effectuées par courrier dans les 15 jours sinon c'est perdu.
Après renvoi d'un mail pour connaître le suivi, réponse reçue du service consommateur HightCo Data comme quoi le code barres n'est pas elligible !! cette opération est mensongère, c'est une arnaque et le pire est que malgré les signalements, ces opérations promotionnelles continuent de la part de Black et Decker!!

What a nightmare
What a nightmare. I bought a Black and decker cordless hammer drill in Argos 5months ago.
After doing 2 minor jobs the entire chuck wobbles around making drilling a hole or driving a screw impossible.
Argos said I need to speak to black and decker.
I contacted them then they refused to accept my receipt from Argos, I told them that’s all they provided. They eventually said ok and said ups will collect the drill and send for repair.
Waited in on the collection day and nobody came, then the next day nobody came.
Contacted b&d and they said they will arrange for collection again.
I hold no hope anybody will come and I’m fed up of waiting in on the off chance somebody may turn up to fit it.
All of this hassle for a cheap £40 drill, I’ll never make this mistake again.

Cashback actie is een facade! Je moet allerlei stappen ondergaan en dan stopt het! Als je support hiervoor contacteerd word je terug van kastje naar muur gestuurd.
Bij andere merken is cashback simpel, aankoopbewijs doorsturen en in orde. Bij black&decker is het verplicht account aanmaken, gans gedoe met product registreren en dan stopt het....! Maw mensen aan het lijntje houden. En als ik eerdere reviews mag geloven, zijn ze niet aan hun proefstuk toe. Dit is geen cashbackactie maar valse promo

Black & decker 12L dehumidifier. Light weight, quiet. Only had it 2 weeks. Has leaked several times- tank over filling, not cutting off when full. Bathroom mats & carpet wet through. Not powerful enough for the bathroom. Constantly on. Not achieving 55 humidity. Seemed a bargain - £80 at lidl. Turning out not to be !!
