Stay away from Big-O tires
Went into Big-O tires on Fairview in Boise 5/16/2022 to have my snow tires removed and summer tires put back on. After waiting nearly 40 minutes they came back and told me that because the tires were over 6 years old, they would not put them on. They told me by law they were not allowed to install tires over 6 years, which was a lie. Tires up to 10 years old can be re-installed by a tire shop. I work from home and do less than 5,000 miles per year, and the tires still have over 50% tread left. They then told me the tires had dry rot which was another total lie, as I took them to 2 other shops who said they were fine. The truck lives in the garage day and night. Of course, Big-O tires pressed me hard to buy a new set of tires for my truck for $1000. Stay away from these guys; they are liars and outright crooks imho.
Made an appointment on-line yesterday…
Made an appointment on-line yesterday to get a tire repaired. When I showed up today at 2185 Ford Parkway, St. Paul, MN 55116 I said I wanted to get my tire fixed because the last person to check the psi cross-threaded the cap. Counter man said the valve stem had to be replaced. OK. Then he said well, if it's not leaking you should be fine. I said I was concerned because I had nitrogen tires. He said, "No you don't". I said, "Yes I do" He said, "How do you know?" I said, "Because of the green caps." He had the grace to look abashed but then said we don't have nitrogen here. I said, "Really? Well I guess I'm not getting the stem fixed here then". I then asked if they did oil changes as I had scheduled this car fix for about 2 hours and didn't want to waste the time I spent already. He said yes. Then I asked if they would do it if I supplied the oil and the filter. He said, "We aren't allowed to do that".
One would think that a _service_ business would want to get money for providing a service such as labor, but I guess not.
I think that being a woman who knew her vehicles' needs was the deciding factor in my not being served.
I do not recommend this business
Big-O Tires in San Leandro
Big-O Tires in San Leandro, on Lewelling Blvd. is the worst shop ever. I bought 4 new tires from them 4 months ago. They lied to me several times within 2 days and are bias. On Friday, I dropped a flat tire off and they said it would be ready before closing. I returned early only to find them already closed. On Saturday, they open at 8am but called me at 10:45am to say the tire is ready. I asked how long I would have to wait? They said 10-15 minutes. I said great, I will be right there. I checked in and waited 20 minutes and my truck had not moved. They said you are next on the rack. No telling how long that would be. I retrieved my keys and said I would be back on Monday for them to install the tire. Too many additional conversations of lies to mention in this space. But beware! After you purchase tires from them, they are no longer courteous and mislead you lying right to your face and denying what they had said to you earlier. I will never return after I get my tire installed and hope you never go there to avoid the same treatment I received.

Took my suv into 51st Ave and Baseline store for brake inspection. Told need new brakes all around, paid $1440 and it made horrible grinding noises so I took it back. After 4 days still made horriffic grinding noise ans was afraid to drive my own suv. I took it to another shop and they showed me they only replaced some parts but charged me for all new parts. They douible charged me for some parts they didn't even install. Filing Consumer fraud complaint with the attorney generals office. Ripping people off can't be allowed in bussineses. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Chipped my rims
I just needed my summer tires put on and ended up leaving with $100 less and 3 chipped rims. Luckily I took pictures before going in because my 4th rim was chipped by them the first time I had tires swapped. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and they let me down.
Taking advantage of the Hispanic community
Shop located on West Valencia Road Tucson, AZ brought my car in for service, (front end alignment , and replace (2) front tires, was told alignment would cost $99.00. extending the life of the new tires I agreed to the price.
was notified later I needed all (4) tires) replaced due to bad balancing , replaced all (4) and informed by doing this would give me a $50.00 rebate , (mail in) ...
when arrived to pay for service, No mention of the $50.00 discount on the bill but it was noted on the invoice $50.00 discount , Never was a factor in the cost...
after contacting other Big O tires in Tucson, they quoted me a price of $59.00 to $79.00 ..for alignments , also discovered same tires I purchased from this store are extremely lower in price at other major tire stores in Tucson..
In summarizing , this store overcharged me for a (4) wheel alignment on a Ford Fiesta when it only needed a front alignment, on advising the salesman, he stated the cost is $99.00 regardless .
Be aware ! Store is a rip off ..........!!!
Shop else where for vehicle services...
There Main office has never attempted to contact me after filling the complaint...
If you use this shop, good luck.....
No warranty - cheated
I’ve been here twice. The first time I took my car because a tire needed a stem fixed and I was told I had to spend around $1,700 on tires, alignment, etc. because the tires were worn out and it was a risk. I barely drive the car and they did not look worn out.
A year later, the tires looked the same, since I spent a year out of state and the car wasn’t used, but I got a nail in one of them.
The tire shop told me they would not fix the nail because the tires needed replacement. The employee said he would not take responsibility if something happened after leaving the shop.
I just found out after spending $1,700 that they do not have a warranty, so his concern about whatever happens after I leave the shop, was a lie.
I’m equally at risk of something happening anytime soon because they are new and not tested. I feel disappointed and cheated. Never again and I will file a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

This review not only goes out to Big o tires, but this review is especially for my man Shawn Lyons!!!! His attention to the customer is well worth the time and money spent, wonderful business but first and foremost a wonderful person! Thanks again shawn!!!
HORRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT USE THEM!
I called @ 10:00 am today to see if I could drop my vehicle off for an oil change @ 11:00AM. Told the guy I could leave it till the end of day. He said absolutely, we'll see you then. I came in @ 11:00 to drop off my vehicle. Kid at the front desk gave me attitude and told me the last guy who dropped off his vehicle for an oil change would be the "last walk in" for the day. I explained I wasn't a walk in and that I was told I could drop it off @ 11:00. He didn't care to listen and asked if I wanted an appointment for next week. I scheduled my lunch break around this. I paid a coworked to follow me and pick me up from their facility. Manager blamed it on lack of staff. I counted 9 guys in their facility. Car bays weren't half full, plenty of parking in front of their building and in the back. I am a business owner in the area and will make sure to recommend no one uses this business. Wasted my time, money, bad customer service, lying to their customers.
Beware of the hidden fees
Beware of the hidden fees that they don't tell you about before you are presented with the final bill. To mount and balance two $89 tires the final tally was over $270! They didn't even have to put them on the truck as I brought them the rims!

They botched two installations, seriously damaged my car, falsified paperwork and stole property of mine. Patronizing too.
Big O as a whole has been pretty okay. This review is of the Greenwood Village, CO store.
SUMMARY: They botched two installations, seriously damaged my car, falsified paperwork and stole property of mine. Patronizing too.
WHAT I WANT: To inform potential clients to be careful. From Big O? Nothing. They're dishonest and I don't want to spend more time absorbing lies. An apology from corporate would be nice.
DETAILS: I purchased four new tires for an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) SUV. After beading tires to rims, they forgot to fully inflate the two rear tires, yet marked them as "39" psi on the receipt. They had 22 psi in them. The front pair were marked as "32" but were inflated to 42 psi. Clearly they just made up numbers for the printed receipt.
Almost all cars have the OEM recommended tire pressures either on the door frame or, like mine, behind the gas cap. With the exception of pulling a very heavy tongue-weight trailer, pressures for my vehicle mandate equal inflation. For AWD vehicles it's imperative that the tire diameter is the same on all four wheels, especially so opposite corners as they're slaved together. If it's direct like mine (some have clutches to compensate), one tire will get dragged faster, the other pulled slower. It's hard on everything, and destroys tires very quickly.
This install seemed to go smoothly, and I drove away not noticing anything wrong. After about 1,000 miles I notice severe wear on the outer tread of the rear tires. I'd seen it before with a slowly-deflating tire, so got the gauge -- sure enough, the fronts were at 42 psi, the rears at 21/22. I inflated them to equal amounts as indicated, but damage was done, the rears were ruined. The front tires still had over 90% tread.
Winter approached, so I took the car in to swap out a set of new, studded winter tires I already owned. noting the previous installation error, asked the shop to warranty the rears and put the fronts in the back for me to keep. The printed receipt notes to put the fronts in the back of car.
They did neither -- making up some excuse that the front tires were just barely over the wear depth spec, meaning they still had about 90% tread. Shop foremen like to keep near-new "take-off" tires as they sell them for cash. That is, puncture a tire on a nearly new set? Instead of warrantying the tire, shops will offer low-cost "take-offs" as replacements.
The swap took a lot longer than expected and I was running late to get the kids, so, whatever, I didn't have the time or inclination to argue with someone both incompetent (stealing my tires) and dishonest (failing to accept responsibility for the botched install).
Pulling out of the parking lot, both mirrors were flopping back and forth in a dizzying, sickly way. It was instantly noticeable, everything behind me wobbling to and fro. Mercedes SUVs have motorized mirrors that fold the mirrors back via button by the shifter, if you just grab them and push to fold -- as is needed to clear the sides of the car lift -- it breaks the post attached to the frame and the mirrors have about a half inch of front-back wobble. And they leak water into the motor and doorframe, it's a costly repair and more serious mishap than would seem.
Shortly before taking this in to swap the tires, a thief had broken the right door/window and auto-locking system breaking into the car. Police reports filed and available. It was fully repaired and insurance inspected -- no damage on either door or mirror. Further, the only way to break the posts without smashing the plastic body or mirrors to bits is to push by hand -- a moving impact strong enough to break said posts would shatter both body and mirror.
So now I'm out a $1200 repair in addition to a set of tires that should have 30,000 miles wear left on them. And the real kicker? They forgot to inflate the rear studded tires -- they came out at 40/22 psi front/rear -- the same as the summer tires. One blew out within a few hundred miles, more time lost, more damage, and I'm embarrassed I was dumb enough to assume that -- having been informed they failed to inflate the tires before -- they would double-check the inflation pressures. I guess fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...
IN CLOSING: Sometimes the "soccer mom" in an SUV with two kids' seats was also the lead engineer on a national-championship-winning team. My Team? The one with the consistency to win a title without single failure? Neglecting to inflate to proper psi was a terminable offense; it's dangerous, and grounds for disqualification. Whomever owns this franchise -- you need both better mechanics and checklists. And you need to train your staff not to be patronizing to women. It's erroneous to assume none of us are serious "gearheads" capable of calling you on your incompetence.

Big O is a BIG NO!!!
Big O is a BIG NO!!!
I unfortunately purchased my tires for my work truck from Big O Tires a while back. Everything was fine. Then last weekend I had a flat. I went to Big O and they told me it has a puncture in the sidewall and would need to be replaced vs. fixed. Ok. Then the fun began. They said although they had 4 of my tires in stock, they couldn’t sell me just 1 tire and break up their set, in case someone came in to buy 4 tires. So they searched and no Big O tires in Colorado had just 1 Michelin tire in my size. So they ordered one to come in from Utah. They said should be here in about a week. I even asked if they would sell me one tire and replace it with the one being shipped. Nope, can’t do that. My tire arrived yesterday 6 days after ordering and was replaced today. Then… to top it all off, they didn’t check the pressure of the tire and per my monitor and my checking at Costco, my tire was way over inflated! UGH!!! (FYI…I called Discount Tire and they had my tire and would sell me one, no problem). So for me, Big O is a BIG NO!!!
Customer Service
I do not know how these guys stay in business. I went to the counter this morning to get a tire fixed, and three guys were standing at the counter and just looked away. They were not on their phones or the computer; they were standing there. Finally, after about 10 minutes of waiting, I said. Hello, can I have some service? I was ignored at first, but after trying to get their attention, they answered me. They acted like I was not even there.
I then went to Les Schwab and had a much different experience, and I was handled promptly.
My advice go to Les Schwab; Big-O Tires has very distasteful customer service. Goodness, a customer walks in, and they do nothing.
I do not think you even deserve your one-star rating.
I always go to my guy Terrence
I always go to my guy Terrence. Best price and been there for years, Thanks Terrence

Didn't get the tires I was wanting. So I emailed them about changing them because my camper moves around all over .I will not be buying from them or any cooper tires I emailed cooper to and the wouldn't respond to anything.

Bought big O tire brand because they said it was better then the stock tire. I also paid for road hazard protection. What they don't tell you is that you have to pay to balance and rotate your tires every 3000 miles. They would not warranty my tires. I used to take 4 vehicles there to get my tires but not anymore. Terrible shady business practices. The big O tires suck too. Road noise and for some odd reason I get worse gas mileage. You got me big O but never again will my shadow darken your doorway.

I paid to have shocks replaced 8 months ago. When I went to another Big O store for tire rotation I was told that the shocks “were shot.” THEY scheduled me for an 8 AM appointment to replace them (as a warranty item). I arrived at 8, expecting to wait an hour (2 at the most). I went and walked around the area and at 10, received a call that they were going to the warehouse to pick up the shocks! So 4 hours have gone by and I’m still waiting. THEY scheduled me. I write this as I still sit in the shop waiting. I have bought from Big O for all my cars for years. That doesn’t matter I guess.
No more----
I have used this location for years and I always bring my own synthetic oil. This time the attendant told me that I could have saved a lot by using their oil. Then he stated "no more after this" When I asked why he stated that 'too many people complained.' I have no idea what he meant, that answer made no sense. One of the service techs came to the desk and his neck was covered in hickies! He should have been made to cover them up at least, very tacky and unprofessional! No one said anything about the rest of my fluids, if any were low, etc. I inquired and was told that they top them off. No other info. When I went to get back into my car there was grease on my leather seat and my brand new floor mat had a lot of black grease/dirt all over it! I asked that it be cleaned, and they did, but it never should have been returned to me like that! (same kid with all the hickies) I will not go back, ever. Also, this is important: the couple in front of me spoke a foreign language. The attendant was very short with them--he asked if they were going to stay or should he call them. When they didn't answer immediately he repeated his question, enunciating every word very slowly--it was not to be accommodating, it was very snotty. I thought about just going elsewhere because I felt embarrassed for this couple. I wish I had.
