I've been using Berghaus shoes for years, their sizing for UK 11 fits the shape of my foot perfectly, my GTX versions had finally reached the end and I required some new ones. As they have stopped my preferred version it was time for a new type. Having read the gumph and other reviews I chose the EXP DEV Gore-Tex. On first using them the sole seemed to be substantially stiffer than my previous shoes so felt quite odd initially, having fully broken them in I'm still of the opinion that the sole is stiffer than previous shoes. I used these shoes for a long weekend in Belgium and a serious 8 days in France and can happily report that they stood up to the test with ease and still look brand new, it looks like I may have found my new preference.
