I ordered a barrier on the 1st of May…
I ordered a barrier on the 1st of May and it still has not been delivered, I've had multiple calls to this company and their delivery service and still no sign of the barrier. This company uses DX to ship their products and they're notorious for not actually delivering.

Firstly, we would like to apologise for the delays you experienced with your order. We fully appreciate that the delivery took significantly longer than the original estimated lead time and understand why this caused frustration.
However, we feel it is important to clarify the circumstances surrounding this order. When you contacted us regarding the delay, we immediately contacted the manufacturer to investigate and establish the status of the shipment. We subsequently discovered that the order had not yet been dispatched and pressed for an urgent resolution. The manufacturer then arranged shipment via DX, and we kept you informed of the updates provided to us throughout the process.
Unfortunately, further delays then occurred within the courier network. When it became apparent that part of the consignment was missing, we escalated the matter directly with both the manufacturer and DX, repeatedly chasing for updates and seeking confirmation of the whereabouts of the outstanding package. We also formally escalated your complaint and continued to provide updates as information became available.
We understand your comments regarding DX and recognise that the courier's performance fell below expectations on this occasion. However, the delays were not due to a lack of action from our customer service team. Throughout the process, we remained in regular contact with both the manufacturer and courier in an effort to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
While we regret that the order took considerably longer than the estimated 7–10 working days to arrive, we are pleased that all four parts of the barrier were ultimately delivered and that the order was completed.
We sincerely apologise again for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve the issue.

Nice gate. Some small changes can make it much better.
Firstly, Barriers Direct worked very hard to help me. I love my gate. I have a few small issues and that's why it's not quite 5 stars, both with BD and the gate.
1. Barriers Direct SHOULD offer standard service to Northern Ireland. They went out their way for me, which I appreciate. But I had to organise it. I believe it should be a standard delivery option. I have proven it can be done and not too expensive. We are part of the UK, after all. Again, happy that BD worked with me to get it delivered.
The gate is great, but I'll list my issues:
1. Nothing to show what screws are what.
2. The bottom hinge rubs against the door, stripping the paint. With the weight, it is always going to bend slightly and rub. So I think more needs to be done to elevate that part of the door.
3. A video of how to fit would be handy.
4. Would be good to have some spare nuts and bolts. I had to refit the hinges twice (my issue) but needed to get more, because the plugs bent out of shape. The metal raw plugs should be swapped for plastic. They weren't very good.
5. The washers for the hinges onto the walls aren't big enough.
6. Caps on hinges, for me, aren't staying on. They keep.flicking off when gate is shut with slight force. I have tried everything.
That said, it's pricey, but it's a nice gate. It fits well. The measurements seem to have been accurate. I am at the limit though, but it's perfect.

Disappointing
Made order online and was advised after a couple of days that delivery was ahead of schedule. Sadly, when the delivery was made it wasn’t what I had ordered. Had to email to Barriers Direct with a picture and phoned three times before getting any update on my order. Again, disappointingly, the emphasis seemed to be on retrieving the wrong item rather than delivering the correct item. The final outcome is still in obeyance as I still await the correct item.

To clarify the circumstances, the incorrect item was supplied by the manufacturer, and as soon as we were notified of the issue on 18th May, our support team contacted the supplier the following morning and requested immediate dispatch of the correct bollard. We also arranged for collection of the incorrect item and provided the supplier with all the information required to process the replacement.
We understand why it may have appeared that the focus was on retrieving the incorrect item rather than supplying the replacement. However, the collection and replacement processes were being handled simultaneously. The supplier required the collection to be arranged as part of their error-correction procedure, while at the same time we were actively requesting dispatch of the correct bollard and chasing for confirmation of delivery dates.
While we appreciate your frustration at having to contact us several times for updates, it is not correct that we were unconcerned about resolving the issue. Our records show that multiple members of our support team were in regular contact with the manufacturer by both email and telephone throughout the process, repeatedly requesting updates, escalating the matter, and pressing for the replacement to be delivered as quickly as possible. We also passed on information to you whenever updates became available.
The supplier confirmed that the replacement bollard was dispatched on 22nd May. Unfortunately, the shipment was then delayed within the courier network, which was outside both our and the supplier's direct control. We continued to pursue updates from both the supplier and courier until the replacement was finally delivered on 28th May.
We fully appreciate that the delay caused inconvenience, particularly given the work scheduled on site, and we sincerely apologise for both the manufacturer's initial error and the subsequent courier delays. However, we do feel it is important to note that our customer service team worked continuously to resolve the issue, escalating the matter on numerous occasions and actively chasing both the supplier and courier throughout.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We are genuinely sorry that your experience fell short of the standard we aim to provide and regret the frustration this situation caused.

We are sorry that you experienced a delay in receiving the fitting instructions for your parking post.
However, we would like to clarify that your enquiry was not ignored. We received your email on Friday 15th May requesting fitting details, and we contacted the manufacturer the same day to obtain the installation instructions, as these were not immediately available within our own product documentation.
The 16th and 17th May fell over the weekend, during which our offices are closed and we do not operate customer service support. On our return on Monday 18th May, we followed up immediately and, as soon as the manufacturer provided the fitting guide, we forwarded it to you the same day along with our apologies for the delay.
We appreciate that waiting for technical information can be frustrating, particularly when planning an installation, and we are sorry that it took longer than expected to provide the documentation. However, we were actively chasing the manufacturer throughout this period rather than ignoring your request.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, as feedback like this helps us improve both our product information and customer support processes.
