Barbed Arvostelua 3

I understand there are problems with lead times with Fermob and Brexit. My issue is with the complete lack of communication from Barbed
1/ ordered 2 small Fermob items: side table and lamp stake for my husbands birthday mid May
2/ 18th April informed items delayed till end of May
Asked to cancel order. Was told it’s not possible. After checking they tell me I can cancel table
3/ 01 June I request progress on odeer. Am told items more delayed
4/ enquire again and am told item will arrive In Barbed warehouse on 21 June
5/ i hear nothing. I write to them on 1 August to discover that the lady who I emailed with has left the company and my email will go unanswered.

Disgraceful lack of any communication or customer care

This was the spring of 2021, so I was expecting delays, but when I ordered they quoted 5-7 weeks and said they weren’t experiencing any delivery problems. It’s only garden furniture, so it wasn’t urgent, but the lack of service was very dispiriting.

The table arrived after 12 weeks, the two chairs at 14 weeks. Most of that time no-one knew where it was or when it would arrive. Eventually, I found one person who confirmed it had left the factory. The furniture was supposed to be a treat, but it ended up being a very disheartening process.

Fermob furniture is lovely, but the process of getting it through Barbed isn’t worth it. I wouldn’t buy from either of them again.

I bought a table and 2 benches (Fermob - Bellevie) on July 20th. They said it would deliver in 6 weeks. After that period, I got in touch and they said that something went wrong with my order (I am not sure if anyone from there would call me, if I haven't called them first). They promised my table for the following week and the benches for October. The table was delivered not in the following week but about 3 weeks later. The company was kind to leave with the table a provisional bench, so I could use it in the last weeks of warm weather in London. It was a bumpy ride but now I have my table and my benches and I am very happy with the quality and design.
