Aventura do Brasil Arvostelua 

Auf Grund von Empfehlungen haben wir uns von Aventura do Brasil eine knapp zweiwöchige Tour durch Brasilien (Rio, atlantischer Regenwald, Amazonasgebiet und Foz do Iguaçu) zusammenstellen lassen. Lars hat dabei unsere Wünsche (von einfacher Lodge bis Traumhotel, Aktivitäten etc.) wunderbar umgesetzt und war zu jeder Zeit für Nachfragen ansprechbar. Vor Ort hat alles perfekt geklappt - alle Transfers, alle Guides, alle Buchungen. Wir konnten uns daher einfach zurücklehnen und genießen. Und würden es jederzeit genau so wieder buchen. Ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön an Lars und das übrige Team!

Auch wenn wir gar nicht so viele Bausteine über Aventura gebucht hatten (verschiedene Transporte und eine Unterkunft), es hat alles super geklappt und wurde sehr zuverlässig organisiert. Das tut einfach so gut bei einer Reise in Brasilien und war auch für das Gelingen unseres Urlaubs wichtig. Das Hotel Bahiacafé im Zentrum von Salvador hat uns auch gut gefallen. Die sehr gute Beratung war bereits bei der Planung im Vorfeld hilfreich und mit der Flexibilität von Aventura haben wir das für uns ideale Programm zusammen stellen können. Herzlichen DANK dafür an Lars! Immer wieder gerne mit Aventura und diesem Team, wir werden es weiter sagen!

Flexibilität und Hilfsbereitschaft – diese Erfahrungen haben wir bei einer sehr kurzfristigen Anfrage mit Aventura do Brasil gemacht. Im Rahmen eines längeren, aber spontan gestalteten Brasilienaufenthaltes wurde für uns innerhalb weniger Tage eine Mietwagenreise von Salvador da Bahia nach Ilheus organisiert und wir sind mit den Leistungen des Veranstalters in jeder Beziehung äußerst zufrieden. Alle Unterkünfte waren bedacht ausgewählt und die einzelnen Programmpunkte sehr interessant gestaltet. Der brasilianische Kooperationspartner Ativa Aventuras fokussiert nachhaltigen Tourismus und ermöglicht dadurch Kontakte, die für beide Seiten (Besucher und Einheimische) wertschätzend und bereichernd sind. Wir können diese Mietwagenreise ohne Einschränkungen sehr empfehlen – sie vermittelt Eindrücke in das Leben der Menschen in dieser Region, die wir „auf eigene Faust“ in dieser Tiefe nie erhalten hätten.

Insbesondere ist dabei die persönliche Betreuung durch die Mitarbeiterin Lisa von Aventura do Brasil hervorzuheben, die sich selbst am Wochenende (stets erfolgreich!) bemüht hat, unsere Sonderwünsche zu erfüllen und uns sogar über den Reisebaustein hinaus bei weiteren Flugbuchungen behilflich war. Ein absolut nicht selbstverständlicher Service, herzlichen Dank dafür!

Hi, I created a TP account specifically to leave this review. Reviews really aren't my thing, but I'm hoping this will help someone else.

Working with AdB was pleasant enough and my agent, Elisabeth, was very nice and was able to find what I was looking for (a non-touristy deep-jungle adventure for my kids and me to celebrate my 50th birthday).

Thus, this review is more about doing your research and knowing what you're getting into before you go, rather than a scalding indictment of AdB and Elisabeth herself.

Let me skip all the details & TL;DR it for you... My kids got sick, only one recovered in time to go on this trip, but then American Airlines cancelled our flight out only a few hours before takeoff without any other replacement options, killing the entire trip. AdB's refund policy is rigid and pretty brutal, there was an unexpected and poorly explained final quote hike, and I won't use AoB again... although I doubt I would have gotten a much different XP with any other firm.

So, let me sum up what amounts to 'my/your fault' and 'always do your research'...

1. Watch Pricing Changes...

When I initially contacted AdB, we were talking about 5 people going into the Amazon. That very quickly changed (within a couple emails/about a week) when the other two people dropped out. The initial pricing quote I was given jumped by $200+ per person with the final quote.

I was told this was because the initial quote was priced based on the 5, not 3 people. That would have been understandable if we had continued talking about the other two people joining, but we had not for at least a week or two when I received the first quote (never mind the final quote a couple weeks after the first). Only personal/travel docs were ever given for myself and my two kids, not once the other two people.

Thus, I found the $600+ jump in the final quote to be a big surprise and a bit dubious. Not saying it was a purposeful tactic, I was just very surprised that the other two people were still being considered given the (many) emails back and forth never once mentioning their participation post the first week.

Lesson: Be VERY clear communicating any changes and make sure you're getting quoted clearly for exactly what you want.

2. Refund Definitions...

My kids got sick about 6 days out from the trip. I was told because it was outside the 8-day grace period, I'd get only 25% of the amount paid back. My son got well enough to go, but then AA cancelled our initial flight out as mentioned above. This was Sat night just after midnight. I woke up @ 3:45, saw AA's message and immediately started trying to get us on another flight. By 5ish, all options were exhausted and the trip was done. I immediately emailed Elisabeth to let her know we were done without any options - this was a full 17 hours till we were scheduled to touch down in Brazil. I heard nothing back.

On Monday, Elisabeth emailed me and said even though I'd sent the email early on sat morning, she'd been off work and didn't get the email till monday, so the resort had sent the guide to get us at the airport, and thus we're only eligible for a 5% return (~$100).

Net-net, AdB has a very rigid and somewhat brutal return policy. And make sure that you either have direct comms with your lodge/resport to update them, or that your flight doesn't get cancelled over AdB's weekends haha.

I'm sure it's no different than any other firm, but it's definitely something to know about before you book (with any firm, not just them).

I did find the fact that even though I sent my email only a little over an hour after I received the news, the 25% refund wasn't still offered because my email was received, just over the travel agent's weekend. This policy/explanation/action is really what prompted me to waste a further 30 minutes of my life writing this review so that you don't make the same mistakes I did (and I consider myself a very experience Int'l traveler). haha

Lesson: Make sure you read the fine print, understand the refund policies, and ALWAYS get travel insurance on a big trip no matter what (it's worth the $150 - $300 when the S hits the fan)

My Big Net-Net: I'm sure AdB is a fine firm and not unlike any of the others. Whichever firm you work with, find out their policies, communicate very clearly, get trip detail confirmation early and often, and do your DD!

Even though some of this was on me (specificity always!), I don't like ridged policies that don't take into account the firm's own schedules/shortcomings and I also felt a bit duped on the sudden/unexpected price increase. I won't use AdB again when we try to redo our trip back into the amazon.

From the time we connected about a potential trip until the day we returned from the trip we received such remarkable service! Leandro and team listened to what we were looking for and came back with options and that were an exact match in terms of location, tours and air and car transfers!

On the trip we spent time in several areas of Brazil in each the accommodations were very nice and very safe. In each location we did at least one tour that was set up with Leandro. Each tour and transfer was prompt, safe and super friendly.

If there is any feedback and really more just preparation for anyone thinking of going, is that the tours in Rio and Iguaza were awesome and both guides spoke amazing English which made things much easier for us. In Buzios, the tours did not speak English but a simple use of google translate on the phone and we were all good. All of the tours had such amazing people to help you throughout the process.

I would highly Leandro, Giovanni, Renato and the entire team if you are thinking about going to Brazil for a getaway. They were all great and made the experience great for our trip. We will be recommending this trip for all of friends and family

Aventura do Brasil hat für uns 1 Woche Bonito + Süd-Pantanal arrangiert. Die gesamte Organisation hat von Anfang bis Ende 100%ig geklappt, es gab nirgend wo etwas aussetzen. Die Führererin war sehr naturkundig und zuvorkommend und die Unterkünfte waren durchdacht ausgesucht. Besonders gut hat mir gefallen, dass man im Vorfeld einen festen Ansprechpartner hatte und dass man sogar mit einer deutschen Nummer telefonieren, die Reise flexibel gestalten und noch einige Fragen loswerden konnte. Gerne wieder.

Bis jetzt habe ich erst meine Brasilienreise für nächsten Sommer gebucht. Lars war extrem hilfsbereit und hat stets schnell geantwortet. Er hat mir geholfen, ein individuelles Programm für mich zusammenzustellen.
Obwohl die gesamte Kommunikation per Mail stattgefunden hat, fühlte ich mich gut aufgehoben. Wenn in Brasilien alles so gut klappt wie die Buchung bei Aventura do Brasil, kann ich mich auf eine perfekte Reise freuen. Danke Lars.

Unsere Reise war toll und hat super gepasst. Auch die Kleinigkeiten wie Abholung und Transporte waren 100% passend. Vielen Dank auch für die Beratung und Ideen (z.B. erst mal 36 Stunden zum Ankommen in Cumboco bleiben bevor es nach Jericoacoara weiter gegangen ist.

Wir sind recht häufig auf Reisen, aber wir haben noch nie erlebt, dass ein Reiseveranstalter so vollständig auf unsere individuellen Wünsche eingegangen ist. Die Kontakte waren ausgesprochen nett, informativ und sehr zeitnah. Die Reiseorganisation ist perfekt und vor Ort hat alles sehr gut funktioniert. Wir hatten unvergessliche Erlebnisse und langgehegte Wünsche wurden wahr.
Im Ernst: Wenn dieser Reiseveranstalter die ganze Welt abdecken würde, würden wir nur noch hier buchen. Wir können uns nur nochmals bei Michael und allen, die an den verschiedenen Stationen zum Gelingen der Reise beigetragen haben, herzlich bedanken.

I have travelled within Brazil. started off from Pantanal then Amazon, Sao luis, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu and finished my trip in Sao paulo. I have had such a great experience in Brazil with Aventura do brasil. every single hotel, guide and places that I visited were great.

If you want a good guide + proper itinerary definitely contact them. you won't regret.

Gute Organisation der gebuchten Reisebausteine. Alles hat wie geplant funktioniert. Insgesamt hatten wir eine tolle Reise.
Netter Kontakt und guter Service. Auf alle Wünsche, auch Änderungswünsche, wurde zeitnah eingegangen.
Die gebuchten Unterkünfte (Süd-Pantanal, Fazenda Barra Mansa und Bonito, Pousada Galeria Artes haben uns gut gefallen und können ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfohlen werden.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Brasilienrundreise erleben dürfen. Obwohl wir auf den letzten Drücker, eine individuelle Brasilienrundreise angefragt haben, hat Sandro eine unglaublich erlebnisreiche Tour, nach unseren Wünschen und Ansprüchen zusammengestellt. Rio, Paraty, Sao Paulo, Manaus, Amazonas Lodge und Jericocoara waren die Stationen. Überall wurden wir abgeholt, begleitet, informiert und immer einen Ansprechpartner per WhatsApp. Es hat alles - wirklich alles - reibungslos geklappt. Wir schwärmen heute noch davon. Unsere uneingeschränkte Empfehlung der Aventura do Brasil. Gerne wieder!

Die Reise wurde im Internet zu blumig angepriesen und war in Ordnung, blieb aber hinter den Erwartungen und Versprechungen weit zurück. Das Pantanal haben wir kaum von innen gesehen, weil unsere Pousada vor dem eigentlichen Pantanal gelegen war - in einem völlig ausgedörrten Gebiet. Von wegen "größtes zusammenhängendes Sumpfgebiet der Welt". Wir alle waren sehr enttäuscht über diese Erfahrung. Amazonas und Iguazu-Wasserfälle waren okay, aber das Gefühl, gar nicht richtig reinzukommen, blieb. Die Organisation der Flüge und Transporte war dagegen top. Im letzten Hotel gab es in einem Zimmer Kakerlaken, die Pousada im Pantanal war ohne Atmosphäre. Die anderen aber passabel. Besonders gut die Dschungel-Lodge. Also: Gemischte Eindrücke, gemischte Erfahrungen. Ich habe schon weit schönere "Paradiese" gesehen und wundere mich über die enthusiastischen Bewertungen im Netz.

Wir (Tochter und Mutter) waren 2 Wochen auf einer Erlebnistour in Kolumbien unterwegs. Aventura do Brasil und Neptuno haben diese Tour organisiert. Wir sind restlos begeistert von der super Organisation. Sowohl Flüge, wie Hotelbuchungen waren perfekt organisiert. Unsere Guides sprachen fast alle deutsch, wir wurden immer pünktlich abgeholt. Wir fühlten uns immer sicher und gut betreut. 👍 👍 sehr empfehlenswert

Ich hatte eine mega tolle Zeit in Brasilien. Die Guides waren alle samt super und die 2-wöchige Tour perfekt gestaltet.
