We rented a car to drive from Heraklion to Chania while on vacation in Crete. They made everything so easy, brought the car right to the hotel and we had absolutely no issues. I would highly recommend this company, they are the best. This was the best car rental experience ever!

We had a 24 hour rental from AutoRentals Crete. The service was friendly, polite and helpful. They were accommodating with pick up and drop off locations. The car was a very tidy late model Hyundai, perfect for Crete and good to drive. Rental was reasonable and full cover. Would definitely use again. Efcharisto AutoRentals Crete.

I was VERY impressed with Dimitri's Car rental ( autorentals-crete.gr) . Five stars is not enough!!

I have traveled a fair amount among the Greek islands, and I usually rent a car on each island. I have found that the smaller the island, the more friendly and responsible the people who run the rental companies, and that the larger the island, the less personal and less friendly they are. Of course, Crete is the largest island, and Heraklion is a large city, so I did not expect much of a connection with the people running it.

I was very wrong. I found Demetri and his son to be at least as warm and helpful as on the smallest of Greek islands. In fact, it felt like renting from family. One the technical side, the car was well maintained and worked without any problems at all. Except I managed to create a minor problem with my rental car. After a phone consultation, Dimetri arrived quickly – he was an hour away when I phoned him - and … corrected the mistake I had made. But it was done with such warmth and friendliness that the incident turned into a genuinely pleasant encounter, even – however strange this might sound - one of the high points of my time on Crete, as I very much enjoyed Dimitri’s humour and even some story-telling!

If and when I return to Crete, I would not consider renting from anyone else. And I will “testify” to his honesty, integrity and dedication.

We used Auto Rentals last week, we booked 07 days, and I can tell you this was the best rental company I ever encountered.
No hidden costs, they don’t force you to buy extra stuff, the reservation process was also very easy. They even waited and brought us back from the airport, we had an accident during our trip, and they were incredible understanding, supportive during the whole process.
Super recommend, not only because of the quality - price, but for the honesty and support.
The lady from the front desk is very helpful.

This was by far our best car rental experience - everything how it should be (but never is): hassle free and everything included (full insurance and second driver). It seemed too good to be true but everything happened according to plan. No need for a credit card in the driver's name, no teeth-sucking over insurance - just a great car to drive around in, arriving in Chania and leaving from Heraklion. Wonderful service.

Excellent car hire, professional and lovely people to deal with. Fully insured, no hidden extras, car as described (actually a slight upgrade) and met at arrivals of Heraklion. On returning the car we were then given a lift down to departures. We love Crete but had never used this company before, from now on it’s the one we’ll book with. Excellent.

Best car rental experience ever! Took a while to find this company from the many available but the reviews and pricing seemed to indicate that they were the best. They are! Polite, friendly and courteous staff and a seamless collect and deliver service by the friendly and helpful Chris. Met at the terminal, bags loaded into what was to be the hire car. Short drive to the depot to complete paperwork and under way in less than 20 minutes. Delivery at the end of the holiday was the process in reverse; could not have been easier and once again Chris was on hand to help. Will use this company again and positively recommend them if you are looking for car hire in Crete!

I had a lot of anxiety after researching car rentals on Crete (mixed reviews, hidden fees, pressure from staff), but landed on AutoRentals Crete after reading numerous positive comments on Tripadvisor's forums, and it was definitely the right choice. Absolutely no complaints. Great value for money, no need for a credit card, simple insurance policy, the car was immaculate (and late-model) and of course friendly, courteous team. The car seat (free) was good qualitiy and size for our rather tall 3 year-old. Even just a quick email checking in with our week was appreciated. Cannot recommend highly enough... Thank you!

My wife and I used AutoRentalsCrete 1 Sep 2024. We landed in Heraklion from Bristol at 00:20hrs local time and experienced quite a lengthy delay in baggage reclaim. We were greeted in 'Arrivals' by Manos, who was cheerful, very helpful and courteous. He walked us to the AutoRentals office, where he invited us to inspect the car and take delivery. The entire experience from booking to return was handled very professionally and efficiently. I was even given a lift back to 'Departures' after I dropped off the car at the end of our holiday. AutoRentals is a no nonsense, no hidden extras operation staffed by honest and friendly professionals who keep it simple. All communications were very transparent and straightforward. I would use them again if I revisit Crete and can highly recommend their services.

Great experience with this car hire company and would use again if we return to Crete. Excellent communication from the point of booking. Easy pickup on arrival at Chania airport, drop off point is only a short walk (less than 10 mins) to the airport and a shuttle can be arranged from there if needed. Staff were so polite and friendly, a credit to the company. Highly recommend.

We were more than happy with our choice having booked a car via AutoRentals Crete. Everything worked out just fine. The owner was always available and more than happy to help out.
