Absolutely brutal service. My internet stopped working and after 5 days, still no service with no explanation. As I do some of my work at home, this hurt and to top it off, after letting them know I had to switch providers, they never refunded me.
Worst company I ever experienced in my life. I had no Internet for a week three different days. They said they were sending somebody and I took work off and they never showed up three times in a row still have no Internet. They can't tell me nothing. they just say they'll call me back and never do run as far from this company as you can.
Absolute garbage company. Telus/altimatel bought out Start which used to be an amazing internet provider. Now, its nothing but internet cuts randomly, slowdowns, you don't get anything close to what you're paying for, your so called grace period for your bill? Instant or else. I'll be cancelling and switching to someone else. Its not worth the headaches and garbage support now.
Their website for customers looks like an teenager made it on their first attempt at building a website. Its atrocious.
This is really a terrible service. Your unlimited internet starts to slow down a couple of weeks before the end of the month. What you buy and what you actually get are not the same. There is absolutely no trust in this provider. By the way, I don’t even know how I became their client. I had another provider. I just woke up one morning and noticed that I had been sold to this company without my consent.
Ah, the power of technology. Altima, a Telus company, bought out Citywide Communications. Citywide was my provider of choice for hi speed internet. Altima, when taking over, sent a brief text telling me "Hi. glad you chose Altima" or suchlike. I didn't choose them they landed in my inbox by virtue of purchasing my supplier. Since then I have attempted to obtain an account number - not available. Attempted to discuss the changeover with a CSR who is totally incompetent, and when looking at the website cannot even set up an online account as I have no credentials from them with which to do so. As Telus actually bought Citywide over a year ago they have had ample time to get their act in order. Not done. Needless to say I have signed up with another supplier and will switch over within the next week. Good riddance Altima and poor planning Telus
No issues with the phone service. However, after I transferred the number to another company, they continued to bill me monthly. At first, they did not want to stop billing from the time the line was officially moved to the new company. Took about 1.5 hours on the phone to sort it out and receive a credit for the time since the line was transferred
Je suis très déçu par le service d'Altima. Depuis 3 mois, je tente en vain de faire transférer mon service téléphonique d'Unitelecom, mais sans succès. Malgré mes nombreuses demandes de parler à un superviseur, je n'ai reçu aucune réponse. De plus, il est extrêmement difficile d'obtenir un suivi, car il n'y a pas de bureaux physiques pour rencontrer quelqu'un en personne. Cette situation donne l'impression d'un manque de transparence et de sérieux. Je recommande de faire attention, car l'expérience a été très frustrante jusqu'à présent.
Terrible and dishonest marketing tactics, they offered me a good plan during Black Friday as I was about to leave for another provider, but call me back 5 days later and changed the term and suddenly tell me the price was only valid for a year WHICH IS NOT WHAT THEY TOLD ME WHEN I ACCEPTED THEIR PLAN !!!
