We have used Algarve Removals twice and if you are doing the same
“ You are in safe hands “
The office team in the UK are friendly helpful and knowledgeable.
The removal guys in UK and Portugal are friendly and helpful whilst doing a great job.
Would recommend.
Job well done.
Obrigado

I have lived in Portugal for the past 15 years, and although i have been able to get most of what I need over here, somethings I can only get in the UK.
These are the times I use Algarve removals. I just send the items to the UK branch, they notify me when the goods arrive, I pay, they notify me when my goods arrive in Portugal and I collect. Its simple and it just works.
In all the times I have used them, I have never had a single breakage or missed delivery.
For that, I would like to thank the teams in both countries, and also the drivers for doing a truly excellent job.

Service was remarkable door to door the man who brought up my suitcase was wonderful friendly it was a pleasure to have met him

Great experience right from the start, the team arrived to collect when they said they would, brought all our items to Portugal (no damage to anything! We had large mirrors that we feared might break!) The delivery team were super polite and took all the items to the rooms they were needed... highly recommended

The team that arrived, highly professional, friendly and polite. They worked efficiently and made sure they left their work site tidy.

Honestly would have loved to go for a beer with these guys, if they weren't driving an arctic.

Having moved many times, both locally and internationally, Algarve Removals was the absolute worst moving company I have ever dealt with. It started off promisingly, with a responsive sales/client services staff answering my questions promptly but went down hill rapidly from moving day onwards, (which is what really counts)!
When I asked them about why they did not have FIDI or IAM membership they said those don't really matter and they are just a small business. I like supporting small businesses, so I went along with that explanation, but in retrospect I would never embark on an international move with a removal company who lacked these important credentials ever again.

Be sure you get a binding estimate as Algarve doubled the fee AFTER packing us up. There's not much you can do at that point but pay it, which I'm sure they are aware of.

We payed extra for delicate kitchen items to be professionally packed, as well as for a painting and musical instrument to be crate-packed. The crate packing never happened (at least they refunded us for that) and the kitchen items were literally thrown into boxes and taped up--no special wrapping or bubble wrap. Luckily nothing was broken but that's no thanks to the packers who did an appalling job. The agent they chose at our destination was not a good reflection on Algarve and was a nightmare to deal with.
We finally did get all our belongings delivered from the local agent (it took them several days as they did not have the adequate vehicle size to do it at once) but it was not a positive experience. An antique furnishing arrived severely damaged. Algarve gave us the distinct impression they could not have cared less! In all the relocations I've been through, this was undoubtedly the worst. Maybe they are okay if you are simply moving a few items to mainland Portugal, but based on my experience I would never use their services again.

Just used Algarve Removals for return of personal effects from Algarve to the UK.
A first class service all round.
Highly recommended.
Thank you

I know I came to write to you far away of my moving from UK, Bournemouth to Lisbon, Portugal at beginning of May 2025.
But all this time never let to think about my great experience with you "Algarve Removals".
I would like to say THANK YOU for all attention I received and care with my stuff. In April/May many thinks were happening in my life (good challenges) and one was my big move and return to Portugal. All emails and conversations with your company and in special with Miss Bonita Starkes make me relax and be reassured I choose the best company to move. All the move was smooth, with great care of my stuff and all necessary documentation. All my stuff arrived in perfect conditions. I want to thank you from all workers within the company, from Miss Starkes and her colleagues, the Director Scott (answered my emails on a weekend/out of hours), from the "guys" whom collect my stuff and wrapped with care to the company in Portugal whom delivered my stuff with great care too.
I'm really thankful for all your assistance and want to let you know.
THANK YOU ALL!

For seekers of a great removal´s company strong recommend the Algarve Removals!

These guys were fantastic Highly recommended

I have used Algarve removals on several occasions to transfer items bought in UK to Portugal. This has included items they collect from my UK home address as well as items I have sent to them directly for shipping. It always works like clockwork with efficiency and customer care second to none as well as extremely competitive pricing. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thank you to all the team in UK and Portugal.

Excellent company, all goods delivered free from damage and on the allocated day, thanks to all the professional staff in both the UK and Portugal

End to end process was smooth. Professional and obliging staff who go the extra mile. Can't recommend them enough. The moving guys themselves never stopped from the moment they got to my house. Many thanks

I contacted Algarve Removals after the pool company in the UK could not deliver the product I wanted to order from them.
Algarve Removals contacted the pool company, they agreed to collect from the UK factory and deliver to me in Portugal.
No problems and speedy delivery

I used AR for the first time earlier this year and was SOOOOOO impressed with them. The staff are so efficient, effective and responsive, the process is really easy, the price is good and the guys who delivered to my new place in the |Algarve fantastic. I could not recommend them more highly! Mark Nicholson.

All of the staff in the UK and Portugal are brilliant, quick responses, helpful replies and a very reasonably priced service.

We used the furniture delivery service this time and it was brilliant - so easy and so much quicker than getting a sofa in Portugal 🇵🇹 Highly recommend! Xxx

This was my first time using Algarve Removals, or moving furniture from UK to Portugal. The entire operation was really good! The quotes are really reasonable, and includes customs fees and even insurance. The team on both ends are friendly and professional and they are give you a one hour time slot to deliver the items and stick to it. I've already recommended them to my friends in Portugal and I'll be contacting Algarve Removals again in the future.

Always a friendly 5 star service from the team at Algarve Removals. Highly recommended.

Dealing with Algarve removals is so easy and so very cost effective. It's amazing how much one can send within 1 cubic metre.

Outstanding efficiency & service

Can’t recommend them highly enough

Prompt, careful and efficient delivery service. I've had many items delivered from the UK to Portugal and AR are my go-to agents
