Algarve Removals Arvostelua

We moved from the UK a couple of years ago and Algarve removals did an amazing job of packing and moving our whole house contents and delivered to our new villa on the Algarve . I have also used them many times now bringing items over from Uk and Spain on day to day purchases . Great service and staff thanks again .

We have used Algarve Removals at least once a year for the last ten years and will continue to do so, for as long as we need a friendly, efficient and affordable way to move our belongings between the UK and Portugal.
We find the service we receive; from arranging a quote, to collection through to delivery, to be both polite and respectful.
This trip was no exception with a fast response to the online request form and good communication about collection arrangements. George and Sean who collected our load, were friendly, courteous and took suitable care in wrapping and loading our items. All of which arrived safe and sound in Portugal the following week.
The delivery team were equally efficient, all in all a job well done!

First class service throughout. Efficient, polite, good value and fast. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will definitely use again. Door to door delivery and minimal paperwork.

We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team who collected our packages could not have been more friendly, helpful, and polite — they were an absolute credit to the company. Communication was clear, everything ran smoothly, and the overall service was excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them to others.

What an astonishingly good experience we had with the packing of house in Spain for the journey back to the UK. The packing team we hardworking and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Can't recommend them highly enough

I have used Algarve removals to bring 2 shipments over to Portugal from the UK and recently had a shipment returned to the UK. They are incredibly helpful and quick to respond with regard to quotes, invoices and information. The staff that collect and drop off the items are second to none and can’t do enough to help. Items have always been well cared for during transit and finally the price they charge is fantastic. Go ahead and use Algarve Removals with confidence.

Great service throughout the whole process.
We had our move done last year.
They were very responsive via email and on the phone. Always super helpful and nice.
Everything arrived in perfect condition and on time! Very polite and caring movers.
After a year I realised I didn't have the final Invoice so I called requesting it. 0 wait time on the phone, 2 minutes later I had it on my inbox.
Would definitely recommend!

Algarve Removals have collected and delivered items for me many times from the UK to the Algarve, Portugal, operating very regular delivery services. On every occasion, they have been efficient and easy to communicate with, always responding promptly to my emails.

This efficiency continues throughout the entire process. John consistently provides a comprehensive estimate without delay, and the team always does exactly what they promise — on time, securely, and efficiently, with no fuss or issues whatsoever.

I highly recommend Algarve Removals for their reliable door-to-door service, efficiency, and excellent value for money.

We had been planning our move abroad for a very long time, it’s stressful. Reading Facebook horror stories set us up to expect anything- what a pleasant surprise.
We were overwhelmed by how easy Algarve Removals made this step. The staff could not have been more efficient and helpful.
The quotes and information surrounding that was spot on. John was communicating with us all the way. The guys who came to the house were organised helpful and friendly.
Everything was delivered as suggested, impressively fast too, a week from collecting in the uk to delivering in the Algarve.
Nothing went missing, everything was in great condition. Absolutely faultless. Thanks guys!
Good to know you do small orders too, helpful.

Very prompt service, excellent communications and my items were very well looked after. My items were delivered back to the UK yesterday and everything had been very carefully packed and wrapped. the team brought everything back into my house and made sure that I was happy. I could not be happier with the service from all the team at Algarve Removals

Every part of the process was efficient and effective. The team arrived on time and were well prepared. The packing was done quickly and with care. A great service.

The service, communication and pricing were excellent.
The guys collecting my consignments from home were in communication prior to arrival and very efficient.

I was impressed by the efficiency of the booking system, the pickup at my Apartment and the two guys who did the pickup who carefully covered the items.
Leanne was excellent and efficient particularly when she corrected an incorrect telephone number I gave her.
Finally Nichole did a great job with the billing,
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Company for any size of delivery to / from the UK

Genuinely very helpful. I took bags because I’d run out of boxes. No problem, they packed in boxes for me.
I do highly recommend this removals company as the best in the Algarve.

A genuine company with outstanding focus on customer. Like the old days when you have truly helpful people to help, assist and never complain. TOP CLASS. And always a lovely person to answer the phone , I need to pinch myself to believe that such a service still exists in this world!!

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. The office staff were helpful, replied to emails straight away, the pricing was very competitive and all my belongings arrived on time. The entire experience was 5 star. Highly recommended. I will definitely use them again.

The UK to Algarve service is seamless and very courteous. The staff on both sides are trusted and hard working. Goods are always delivered in the condition that they left.
I would certainly recommend them as a company.

Below are some tips that might help you.
To set the scene, we were a UK to Portugal move, moving into a house that was liveable, but which needed completely renovating. As such, much of our move items initially remained in boxes.
You will soon learn upon arrival that everything in Portugal can take some time; including the multiple tasks that need doing that you are not aware of until you arrive. ‘Portuguese patience’ is a commonly used phrase as is ‘one thing in one day’. So whatever schedule you may think you have other priorities will soon take over. This is mentioned as you must deal with the arrival of your belongings in good time nomatter what other priorities you think there are. This is important
Algarve Removals are quite pleasant to work with whilst everything goes well, or more importantly, are within their T&Cs. The team loading/unloading are particularly helpful and credit to them. But here are some tips.
- Part of their sales pitch is that unlike the formal visa shipping process, you do not need to list everything in each box. It is strongly recommended that you still do this. Not only does it help you find things when unpacking it is also vital if a box is lost and you need to know what was in it
- Do not bother with ‘Fragile’, ‘Handle with care’ etc on your boxes. For us it was clear that these had been stored on the bottom of a pile. Crushed boxes, broken items.
- This is common sense, but ensure that the boxes you use are sturdy, are full (helps stop the crushing) and have plenty of protection. I have no affiliation to AR, but would possibly recommend their or anyones packing service. It costs more, but would be worth it if you have expensive items.
- Really important – advise AR what each box insurance value is. It’s part of their form, but so easily overlooked when you have 100s of other priorities to deal with. Their default insured value is minimal so be wary
- When the delivery arrives in Portugal set time aside to check everything. As mentioned your time will be drawn towards other priorities, but there is a time limit on any claim you need to make
- Video and photograph your house before and after any move. In our situation there was damage to the walls, but as we had already moved to Portugal, before AR arrived to collect, we did not notify them until the estate agent, selling the house, pointed out the damage.
Much of these are common sense. For our move we lost roughly £1000 worth of items (broken or lost) which could had been prevented if we were fully aware of the claim time limits set with AR T&Cs. But as mentioned your task list will be full when you arrive (this review is written almost 3 months after belongings arrive as there is now time). As a side note AR offered £100 as a good will gesture for the loss, damage to house, damage to items, which has been declined.

Everything quick and easy. From the booking, payment and delivery. A great company to deal with and the price was right. Obrigado.
