AFC Home Warranty Arvostelua 

Coming from a contractors view, this company likes to authorize work for contractors to complete and then never pay the contractors. Skilled tradesman, stay away from these guys.

If I could, I would leave a zero review. I have been a customer for a couple of years paying monthly premiums religiously. We have filed two claims, one for an oven repair and the second for an air conditioner fan motor. For both claims, we were advised that they would not cover repairs, but would pay very small replacement values for each, 300.00 for an 1800.00 oven and 300.00 for a 20,000 Trane unit. They are horrible and they take several months to send you a check for the minuscule money they do agree to pay. Avoid them at all costs as you will be paying for your own repairs.

Terrible coverage. If you pay it take 6-8 weeks to get reimbursed.
They don’t replace appliances the pro rate them based on age which for a six year old washer was 140 dollars on repair or replace.
Deceptive sales (better read fine print.)
Two appliance repair techs have told me of issues they have which is why they have a difficult time finding technicians to do the jobs.
I am cutting my loses on my washer while I can.
Zero stars if possible. Be careful.

This by far the worst home warranty company I have ever used and I have tried several. I moved into my home in 2023 and decided to go with another warranty company other than the previous one since it seemed I received added benefits at a reduced price. The last company was great and over the several years I had them I only used them once for a garbage disposal and they took care of it timely. However as stated I went with AFC and signed a 3 year contract in 2024 ($1,300)which was the worst mistake ever looking back. The first almost two years I did not need them but in the second year my stove that I purchased new a Zline in 2023 started having problems. I called AFC and they sent out a company that came to diagnose my problem and I paid the $100 dollars service call fee. Fast forward 1 month later and several calls the company never came back out, never returned phone calls (All My Appliance Repair- used at your own risk very unreliable) and AFC said they could do nothing but send another company out which they did this is now 5 weeks later without a stove. The second company came out (US Legacy Development Inc.) and wanted $100 but I was told by AFC that the 1st company did not follow up so that money was waived. Any way the second company after two weeks stated they could not find the part for a stove only 3 years old. I continued to call AFC to no avail so I went by their office off of Barrett Pkwy in Kennesaw and was told someone would follow up immediately but that never happened until I called two days later. Now know that this is going on 2 months without a stove so now I asked for the remainder of the balance left on my account as I now wanted to cancel. Imagine the lady I spoke to Karen (AFC Service Manager -per her email) stated they had found a resolution to my problem that day but unfortunately I had canceled so a check would be coming within 4 weeks after cancelling. Just know that every time you call them the agents are busy and they will say you will get a call back but none ever comes except through email. I did receive a check less their $75 dollar cancellation policy but you would have thought they would reimburse the $100 dollars I paid for no service on the stove repair but Karen stated that since they had to pay for the 2nd person to come out we were square. Not sure how she figured that since my stove was still not repaired. I had my stove repaired myself though a company I hired in 3 days (yes 3 days). All I can say is that they use unverified people to come to customers homes ZERO follow up and very poor customer service. I have since went back to my previous home warranty company and in hinds sight should have stayed with but to save a couple of dollars to pay out a hundred is a lesson well spent that I do not wish others to have to pay for themselves. Just understand this company is not reliable, trustworthy or customer focused in the least bit and I could never recommend to anyone.

The worst home warranty. They charge plenty but when you call for service and leave a message no one call you back even when you say that I will cancel the plan they still not call you back..They keep charging and taking payment from automated payment and when you complain and ask for refund they inform you that I didn’t request it in writing that is why.
WORST SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE NO BODY SHOULD SIGN UP WITH THEM.

They sent their technician to service AC and he recommended it be replaced and now AFC not living up to their word that they would replace if couldn't be fixed.

I only joined your company yesterday, and look forward to a long and financial secure relationship. I have had two previous companies and would not care to rejoin either of them. I hope this will not be the third. The gentleman that worked with me was Kevin Downs, Account Manager. Kevin was articulate, knowledgeable and extremely patient with me. He represented himself and your company as a true professional. I hope the next three years go as smoothly, as what Kevin made our introduction to your company.

Just filed a claim. Customer Service Representative was polite during the claim filing process. Filing the claim was stress free.

This warranty was the worse. They made it very difficult to receive claim payouts and never wanted to cover the cost of the service or replacement. Save your money and use that for repairs. It was a waste of money!

Service /- communication

I should have been alerted when my salesperson never responded after we purchased the plan. I repeatedly asked for a copy of my coverage and it was always going to be sent soon.
Now our HVAC system needs to be replaced due to a coil that leaked freon and damaged the system. AFC Home Warranty is offering us $100 toward the depreciated cost of the coil. We do not have the option of replacing the coil alone, it must be the entire system!
Stay as far away as you possibly can from this sham company.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be notifying the Nevada Attorney General.

I didn't like the company reviews after signing up, and immediately attempted to cancel the warranty while requesting a refund.

To date, I have not yet received my refund, but I keep getting welcoming messages from the technician that signed me up even though he is well aware that I have cancelled the warranty.

Need to be up front about percent of service cost after deductibles
