Wedding party catering
Used this website to find a food truck to cater our wedding party, really useful site as you enter how many guests and date etc and then available vendors get in touch with availability and costs, great way to get different options in one place. Painless. Once found the one you liaise directly. Great experience all round

I trusted Add to Event to provide a…
I trusted Add to Event to provide a genuine supplier for my daughter’s 13th birthday party. Instead, I was scammed after using the contact details provided through their platform.
Although Add to Event confirmed the person I paid was not the genuine supplier, they offered no practical support to help save the event. By the time the issue was discovered, replacement suppliers were charging nearly £1,000 due to the short notice. I wasn’t asking for a refund. I simply asked them to help arrange an equivalent replacement supplier. They refused and then stopped responding once the event had passed.
A platform like this should verify supplier contact details and support customers when things go wrong. My bank treated this as APP fraud and Action Fraud also opened an investigation.
I cannot recommend Add to Event based on my experience.

Vastaus yritykseltä Add to Event
Hi Mark,
We're really sorry you had this experience, and we do understand how upsetting it must have been in the run-up to your daughter's birthday.
For a bit of context on what happened: the supplier concerned is a genuine, long-standing business on our platform. Unfortunately their account was accessed by an unauthorised third party who had obtained their login details through a separate incident on the supplier's side. That's not something we have visibility of from our side, but the supplier has since been able to identify a likely suspect and is working with the police on the matter.
As soon as we became aware, we suspended the account and got in touch to talk you through what had happened. We explained the Authorised Push Payment (APP) reimbursement scheme so you could raise the payment with your bank as fraud, offered to submit an Action Fraud report alongside your own, offered to help find a replacement supplier by boosting a new request on the platform, and asked the genuine supplier to contact you directly. When you asked to escalate, we responded personally within hours and set out further support and next steps in writing.
We haven't yet had a reply to that last email, so we've followed up separately. We're really glad to hear your bank is treating this as APP fraud and that Action Fraud have opened an investigation, those are exactly the steps we hoped would help you recover the money, and we're still here to support with anything your bank or the police may need from us.
Kind regards,
Add to Event

Toms super whip
Toms super whip, is seriously expensive and absolutely diabolical, £8 for 4 scoops of small ice cream and abut if sauce, 4 pound a peice for ice lolly's, and £3 a per bottle of pop, then when it got busy stuck a new sign up with more bigger prices unreal never again using this van

This was the first time that I had used this service and it was so easy and simple. I used this service for a face painter and then it was simple to communicate and get notifications from the supplier as the notifications appeared in my inbox. I would definitely recommend using this service as your first port of call.

Absolute Life Saver!!
We were let down last minute by a supplier for an event which we were holding on the other side of the country. We knew no one in the area to call upon, and social media shout outs yielded no leads at all. Within an hour of posting on Add to Events we had found a replacement in the area required, and they ended up being really fab! Absolute life saver!!

Quick and easy way to book an event supplier.
We made a last minute decision to add a 360 video booth to our event but were struggling to find anyone with availability. Using Add to Event, we were able to reach out to multiple suppliers at one time. We had 2 suppliers contact us within 24 hours and within 72 hours had confirmed one and paid the deposit. We were very pleased with our choice on the night and due to location, we wouldn’t have found them without Add to Event.
