AB Renewables Arvostelua

I have to be honest we went into investing in Solar despite the mixed reviews- sceptical... however energy prices are only going up, corporate greed and political corruption is fuelling it. We looked at more local companies who actually couldn't compete with AB on price and even made us question the validity of their offers, their price and work practices. We took the gamble and so glad we did. These guys are like a well oiled machine, start to finish... that have their system to a perfect pattern. (we were actually waiting for the problems and used car salesmen jargon - still stunned it hasn't happened)
Friendly, tidy and professional! only one of them drank Tea, so I'm not completely sure they are human.
Thank you guys really appreciate your work and proud that you have restored faith in the British workforce - setting the benchmark nice and high.

Fantastic experience from initial quote to install, quick responses and always very helpful along the way. Would highly recommend.

We have recently completed our solar project with AB Renewables and couldn’t be happier with the final outcome. The system itself—an 8kW SolarEdge inverter setup with battery storage, hot water diverter and EV charger —is working brilliantly and on total autopilot.

A big thank you to the whole team who made this happen:
Jordan in sales, who put together an initial quote and system design. No hard sell, just a real desire to develop system to meet our needs.
Myles, Ben, and Leigh - the installation team, who did an amazing job fitting the hardware on-site.
Karen & Tash in customer support, who were responsive, helpful, and kept us fully updated whenever we had questions.
Like many complex tech installations, we had a couple of gremlins around export limits and National Grid paperwork. However, the true test of a company is how they handle things when adjustments are needed—AB Renewables’ technical and management teams stepped up straight away, resolved the backend commissioning, settled the DNO fee, and got our MPAN release sorted.

We are already reaping the benefits and can highly recommend AB Renewables ' start-to-finish support to anyone considering solar!

My husband and I had been looking into solar panels for quite a while to reduce our electricity bills. We followed the advice to get three quotations... in fact, we actually ended up with four! One company came to our property, while the other three carried out remote surveys.

This is where we started to get confused. We turned to a Solar PV forum on social media for advice and that's where Jordan commented on our post. We followed his link and booked a consultation, where he independently went through every quote we'd received and explained the differences in a way we could actually understand.

Jordan spent over an hour with us during our consultation (Originally we had booked for 30 minutes) and at no point did we feel like we were being sold to. Instead he educated us. He explained how solar actually works, how battery storage should be designed around our lifestyle rather than just our roof space and even highlighted things that some of the other companies had overlooked. By the end of the consultation, we understood more about solar than we had after speaking to the previous four companies combined.

What really stood out was that, he spent the time listening to what we actually wanted. None of the previous companies had done that, instead they seemed to focus on telling us why their quote was the best. There were occasions where he actually recommended spending less money rather than more because he felt it would give us a better solution. That was the moment we realised he genuinely wanted us to have the right system, not simply to win our business.

All four companies had quoted almost identical systems in what looked like a standard quotation layout with a google image showing the panels – 14 panels across two roof elevations with different battery options. Jordan created a full 3D design of our property and showed us that we could install 22 panels across three roof elevations, with optimisers to overcome some shading issues. The predicted payback reduced from around 7–9 years to approximately 5-6 years, which completely changed the value of the investment for us.

Leon, the new Customer Liaison Officer kept us well informed and made the transition from Jordan to the installation team clear and straight forward, he was a pleasure to deal with.

The scaffolding was erected exactly as planned and the then the following day Remi, Ben and Myles arrived promptly just before 8:00am, as we had agreed. There was a slight delay with the delivery of some materials, but the installers simply got on with all the preparation work while they waited. The installation was completed over two days and the whole team were polite, professional, efficient and incredibly tidy. Before they left, everything was set up on our iPad and they made sure we understood how everything worked.

We are now taking advantage of a cheap overnight electricity tariff to charge our batteries and we have just been about to set up our seg payments so for the first time, we're actually being paid for the electricity we export back to the grid. It feels great knowing our system is now working for us instead of just paying ever-increasing energy bills.

Since the installation we've had a couple of minor questions about the system and the app and every enquiry has been responded to the very same day.

From Jordan's initial consultation and honest advice, through to Leon's excellent customer care and the outstanding workmanship from Remi and his installation team, AB Renewables has delivered a genuine 10/10 service. We've already had friends and family asking for Jordan's number after seeing the installation (and probably hearing us brag about it).

Looking back, we realised Jordan wasn't trying to sell us solar panels. He was trying to design the best energy solution for our family and that’s exactly what AB Renewables delivered by bringing that vision to life with a first-class installation. At least it doesn't cost us nearly as much now when our son leaves his PlayStation on! 😊

Thank you to everyone involved. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the whole team at AB Renewables to anyone considering solar or battery storage.

We had a fantastic experience with AB Renewables. Tom was brilliant from start to finish—he took the time to really understand our existing solar setup and gave clear, honest advice on how best to add battery storage. Nothing felt rushed or pushed; just knowledgeable, professional guidance that made the whole process easy to understand.

The installation itself was incredibly quick and carried out to a really high standard. The team were professional, tidy, and respectful throughout, making the whole experience seamless.

Thanks to Tom’s expertise, we now feel confident we’re getting the most out of our system. Highly recommend AB Renewables to anyone looking to upgrade or optimise their solar—especially if you want straightforward, trustworthy advice.

AB Renewables remained in consistent communication with me throughout our initial project and any requirements or adjustments have been addressed quickly and professionally.
Would recommend working with AB Renewables as a trustworthy supplier for many years to come.

I rarely leave reviews but I couldn't not share this amazing experience.

Tom was an absolute delight from start to finish. We are delighted with the end result!! Highly recommend to anyone thinking about exploring the solar world.

A review on behalf of my mother:
I would highly recommend AB Renewables to anyone. The quality of service from start to finish was second to none.
The team that arrived on site were extremely polite and professional and even kept the site clean/as clear as possible. As they made me aware from the start that the job would run over 2 days.

For me it has been rare to find a business with excellent aftercare. Emails are continuously monitored and even if I haven't received a reply straight away, due to this businesses communication style I always know it's in hand.

Thank you AB Renewables for everything you have done. I look forward to recommending you to my friends and family for years to come.

AB Renewables has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. They went above and beyond. Great to find a company that cares and takes pride in their work.

Found them online, from start to finish excellent, personal service. Would recommend.

I received amazing service from Tom from ABRenewables. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly throughout the whole process. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made everything straightforward and stress free. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom and the team to anyone looking for excellent service.

My experience with AB Renewables has been extremely disappointing.

I paid my deposit for a battery installation on **15 June**, and my installation was scheduled for **8 July**. No one turned up. When I contacted the office, I was told their electrician had left the business and that the installation could not go ahead. I was assured that the accounts team would issue a full refund.

It has now been more than two weeks, and despite several emails, including a final warning, I have still not received my deposit back or any meaningful update. Having to chase a refund for a service that the company cancelled is completely unacceptable.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend AB Renewables. Until they improve their communication and refund process, I would advise potential customers to proceed with caution and carefully consider their options before paying a deposit.

I sincerely hope the company resolves my refund without any further delay.

Having recently moved house, where I had a house battery and solar panels I wanted to replicate this in my new property. Jordan, advised me on a configuration of solar panels that would fit my roof and Tesla Powerwall and Gateway to support the generation. I also asked for an EV charger to be installed as there was no charger at the property. I asked that the charger supplied came with more than the standard 5 meter length to support both front charging in the garage and to reach an external parking space in the event of the car not being able to be put in the garage. The attention to detail and support was appreciated as I now have a good working solution on which I am now going to build on with more battery storage to support a future heatpump.

What are contacted this company they seemed very knowledgeable and helpful so I went to head with the deal, the installation went great no problems at all it's when you have problems a company never gets back to you or if they do it takes them several days to 2 weeks if that after you continuously phoning them asking them to phone you back which they never do. Is a great shame because it started so well but aftercare if that's what you could call it is zero once they got your money but not interested , I would be very cautious of using this company as you get no help whatsoever once it's installed go with somebody that's more reliable with customer satisfaction as you don't get it from this company. And try and get out of a manager it's like looking for a needle in the house stack there's never anyone you can talk to the higher up to be honest it's a joke won't be recommending them to my friends to have it done now reading through the reviews it looks like I'm not the only one having the same problem come on AB renewables pull your finger out your backside has salt these problems out.

I would highly recommend AB Renewables.

From my first conversation with Ryan through to the completed installation, the service has been excellent. Ryan was knowledgeable, professional and always happy to answer my many technical questions before I committed to the installation.

As an Electrical Duty Holder with over 35 years’ experience in the electrical engineering industry, I naturally pay close attention to workmanship, safety and installation standards. I can honestly say the installation team were a credit to the company. Their workmanship was to a very high standard, they were courteous throughout, kept me informed of what they were doing and clearly took great pride in their work. The finished installation is neat, well thought out and completed to an excellent standard.

My system consists of 12 LONGi 490W solar panels together with a Tesla Powerwall 3, and it has been performing brilliantly from day one. The system is already exceeding my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result.

Overall, I have been extremely impressed with AB Renewables and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering solar and battery storage. In fact, I have already recommended them to my neighbour, which I think says everything about the confidence I have in the company.

Thank you to Ryan, Karen and the entire installation team for delivering a first-class service.

I really wanted to be able to post a 5 star review as others have done previously , as these reviews did help in the decision making process to award my Solar Business to AB Renewables.

Prior to writing this review the experience was only a solid 3 stars due to problems . and i was not going to bother and chalk it up to experience but over last month the company is now only worthy of one star. Hence the review.

Sales Process, Price, Communication questions etc , all good. If i was being picky the fact a 20 per cent deposit was required could have been made a little clearer.

Installation March 2026

Scaffold a day late going up,
Damaged internal light fitting
Broken slates to roof (lucky i could supply a number of spares) Goods missing from order.
Scaffold many days late going down.

The install was finished all good and happy with install

Several emails with office in relation to DNO approval eventually sorted i appreciate the DNO approval out of there control. All good

System working as should great.

Its now 1 month since raising a technical problem and still not sorted. It took several emails and phone calls for a response after 2 weeks for a technical email guide to be issued. A few hours later i emailed to say the issue has not been resolved that was 2 weeks ago.

Again after several emails and calls nothing, even after reaching out to other people in the business asking for help still nothing

Not what you expect given the spend involved.

After much research and a number of quotes, we selected AB Renewables for both solar and a battery. They offered a competitive quotation and a very professional approach to sales, installation and aftercare. We are so pleased we chose them. We highly recommend AB Renewables in Alton.

We recently had a solar system installed and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience from start to finish. From the very first enquiry, the level of communication stood out. Every question we had was answered promptly and clearly, with no jargon or pressure, just honest, helpful advice that made it easy to understand our options and feel confident in our decisions.

The installation process itself was smooth and well organised. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were respectful of our home throughout. They took the time to explain what they were doing at each stage, which really helped us feel involved and reassured. It was clear they took pride in their work, and the final installation looks neat, professional, and thoughtfully executed.

We’re already seeing the benefits of the system and feel confident we made the right choice, not just in going solar, but in choosing this installer. It’s rare to find a company that combines technical expertise with such a high level of customer care.

I would highly recommend them to anyone considering solar. They are professional, reliable, and genuinely committed to delivering a great experience.

Great experience from start to completion. Will always recommend

Firstly, I am a renowned moany old pensioner who hates bad service in any form and have written quite a few bad reviews in my time - I don’t write reviews when it’s a standard quality service cos that’s how it should be. I do write reviews when the product and service are outstanding and that’s what has happened with AB renewables, right from the first contact with Mike, through his patience in discussing the best options to the precise planning and execution of the job itself. Such a pleasure to deal with a business that does exactly what it promises. If there were six stars available etc. The on-site team were very professional, courteous and informative, the scaffolders were prompt, polite and professional- would recommend without reservation and I never do that lightly
