Ok so few months back I left a negative review and it’s only right to correct it , so after seeing no changes to my credit score I can conform after 3 months my score has gone up by 120 then a further 43 points I’m happy with the progress

Wollit Scam
After subscribing for several months I contacted Wollit for advice on my Credit Score and I have never even got a reply .
I think the site is a con and they scare you into thinking if you unsubscribe it will damage your credit score . I would advise people to avoid Wollit at all costs ,I just don’t see what service they provide .

We did respond to your message, and we’re sorry to hear that it didn’t reach you. Could it have been filtered into a different section of your inbox so you didn’t see it?
We completely reject your saying its a scam or con or that we've tried to scare you, we did not say that ending your plan with Wollit would damage your credit score. Ending your plan is like closing any other credit account, there may be slight impacts depending on your overall credit history, but nothing beyond normal expectations. Our program is designed to build your credit over time, with incremental benefits accumulating, particularly towards the end of the 12-month period. So you won’t see the full benefits before your 12 month plan is finished. However, you are absolutely free to cancel your subscription at any point.

Doesn’t live up to any promises they make. Please read the Wollit’s T&C’s you are committing to opening an unsecure loan. And believe me doing this affects your credit score!! I with Credit Karma and the same day opening this loan with Wollit I dropped 18 points. I’ve been paying the loan off for 8 months now and my score has increased by 4 points, in that time I’ve paid off a credit card and remortgage my house so the increase was clearly zero help from using Wollit. Wollit, Credit Karma and others are place where these companies are paid to keep your scores low to help them sell credit to you for the clients. These types of companies are not to help you it’s for them to have easier access to your data and rip you off in the process!! Their business model is to sell you more credit not to actually help with your finances.

After builders took advantage of having open access to my home for six months and engaged in a game of identity theft my credit rating was shot to bits even thought we have sorted most of them out there are a few stubborn ones who just don’t appear to get it this has made a difference in just 4 month's, husband was v skeptical but is now pleased that it does appear to work - it’s no quick fix there are no quick fixes here but I feel active in sorting the issue rather than passive and just waiting

I’ve been with Wollit for 8 months and…
I’ve been with Wollit for 8 months and it hasn’t improved my credit score. It also didn’t make clear it was a unsecure loan when I signed up. I have loans and credit cards already. I would not have signed up if I knew.

Avoid!! No transparency and little return
UPDATE - wollit reached out to me before this review went live and have been very receptive to feedback. Issue is being resolved at present and I’m awaiting the full outcome.
Been with wollit for two months but so far the experience is very negative.
Little clarity when signing up that what they actually do is place an unsecured loan on your credit file which you essentially pay off by paying the monthly fee. So you’re basically paying off a small loan to improve your credit score.
I’m coming to an end of an IVA so wanted to use wollit to help my credit score as I come out my IVA however the use by wallet of an unsecured loan on my credit file is putting that at risk and this wasn’t clear at all in the sign up process otherwise I wouldn’t have signed up in my situation.
I also have the renters plan and this rent reporting they say will boost my credit rating is nowhere to be seen on my credit file so I’m not quite sure what I’m paying for.
Contacted wollit to discuss the above and resolve via their app and had no response after 3 days hence the rating on trustpilot. Maybe they’ll respond when there’s a poor public review rather than trying to give great customer service like they profess.
At the moment unless something changes I would avoid this company and simply go out and get a credit builder card or small loan to improve your credit score because that appears to be all that wollit is… only you get nothing in return other than your score increasing in the same way it would if you’d bought something and paid via monthly instalments.

I subscribed for one year, and I have seen a great significant in overturning my bad credit rating, from very poor brand to much decent grade, so wollit is the best solution to improve bad credit rating, its highly recommendable to interact with them as i did in the end its going to be foolproof success.

100% do not recommend
When I first saw wollit I thought it was a great alternative to other credit builder companies out there. So I have been using this service for well over a year.. in this time my score has gone from 505 to 595 then dropped to 514 in this time I have not taken out any new credit.. in fact I haven’t taken out any credit in 2-3 years.. I had such faith in this service when i started using it and now well over a year things have not improved in the slightest.. hugely disappointed with this even speaking to wollit they seem to shift the blame back on to the customer.. it may only be £10 a month but when you are paying for a service that promotes something and it doesn’t do why it’s meant to do it’s highly disappointing and to quite honest a waste of money. Yet another company who does not care about their customers.. even going as far as to say if you cancel now it’s going to impact your credit score.. like be so for real right now.. I would honestly save your money..

It's great to know your credit score has increased during your time with Wollit, though we completely understand your concern about the recent dip. When your plan renews, and your old credit account with us closes and a new one is opened, this can have short term impacts on your credit score. This isn’t anything to worry about, it is a completely normal impact for closing and opening a credit agreement and should be rectified by your ongoing regular plan payments.
We’re surprised to hear that you’ve had such a drop in your score, which makes us think there may be something else contributing to it.
We’re sorry if we weren’t clear enough in our communications, we weren’t trying to shift blame, only to shed light on the kinds of things that could be having an impact. We also apologise for the miscommunication about ending your plan, because we definitely weren’t saying that cancelling now was going to impact your credit score. Ending your plan should have the same impact as closing any other credit account.
