Window Nation - Maryland & DC Arvostelua 

Buyers beware!  Window Nation (Windows and Doors) have questionable sells tactics!  On April 10, 2026, Window Nation installed 12 windows at my home.  On February 19, 2026, I signed a purchase agreement for these windows when a sales representative visited my home.  I was shown two window options, one of which was a Vytex brand window.  Both window options (full window samples) had completely sealed window frames with no open seams or joints. After negotiating with the sales person on price, I really suspect that she filled out the purchase form with a lower quality window to compensate for the lower price that we agreed to for the new windows.  I had no knowledge of the actual product number for the window in which I was interested in purchasing and relied on the sales person to put the proper number on the order form.

After the windows were installed (approximately 3-4 days later), I contacted customer service about this concern, and was put in touch with the Vytex team.  Although the Vytex team was responsive to my calls, they were unable to assist me with correcting the issue and suggested that I work with the Window Nation team.  So, I did just that and contacted there customer service team explaining my concern on four different occasions, including emailing a Window Nation management team member.  It has been approximately three months now without anyone from Window Nation following up with me with a resolution regarding my concern.

Take it from me, you may want to stay aware from this company and consider one of their competitors as your windows replacement contractor!

The two-man staff did our 5 windows in one morning with no mess left and a short though comprehensive and clear out-briefing. The manner of the senior partner was professional yet friendly.

The sales rep was competent and pleasant; the scheduler was proficient and flexible; the installers were excellent and polite. In other words, from start to finish, Window Nation was excellent! I'm glad I chose this particular company to replace my windows.

The windows are beautiful and the installation was completed without incident. The installation team failed to remove the stickers/labels from each of the 17 windows, however. And the labels are not easily removed, which means I have a difficult task ahead of me to remove them or to pay someone to remove them.

Communication with WN representatives prior to my HOA approving the project was pretty good. It has been anything but that since then, however. I was promised $100 Visa gift card if I scheduled my consultation to be held within 48 hours of my initial call to the company. I held up my end of the bargain, but WN has yet to issue the gift card to me or even respond to my inquiries about it.

My next-door neighbor had approximately the same number and type of windows installed by WN a few months ago. She paid over $8,000 less than I paid. She pushed back on the original proposed contract price and was offered a much lower price for the same windows. Shame on me, I guess, for not knowing the contract price that I was given was actually negotiable. Also, I do not believe that the “buy four windows, get four windows free” special was applied to my contract. Things moved so quickly with the whole process that I did not realize it at the time of signing my contract. I will never do business with WN again, as they seem to have questionable and deceptive business practices.

Work was done on time. Installers were professional and showed care for my home and they cleaned up both inside and outside where the windows were installed.

Everyone from Sam who sold me the windows to the installers were absolutely fantastic. Very professional and honest. The installers cleaned up after they finish. I have recommended Window Nation to both of my neighbors who are looking to get their windows replaced sometime in the future.

Two years ago I had all my windows and sliders replaced by Window Nation. I was very happy with the installation and paid over 17,000. This year I had a tear in the slider screen and was shocked to get a repair quote from them for 342.00. When I said I might price it elsewhere, they told me it would invalidate my entire lifetime warranty. I was SHOCKED and consider that to be lousy customer service. BE WARNED!!

Over all it was good. Had some hiccups but they were resolved right away, The whole process took a year but we did every window and doors in a large 4 bedroom house. They gave us the same crew eveytime which was great. They knew the house and we all worked together very well.

Terrible customer service if you need them! It takes weeks, not days, to get a response and we still haven’t gotten one. Our entry door is broken due to their materials for the second time in four years and I placed a call to have a repair ticket. they promise ‘call backs’ within 5-10 business days from someone just to evaluate the problem over the phone, not even schedule a repair, and nothing for six days so I call back and ask for it to be escalated to which they say they will send an email of ‘high priority’, six days more and no call back. I speak with them today and more of the same promises with the exact same script of words from them. After pressing them to speak directly to a Scheduler TODAY she placed me on hold and said she tried her phone line and got her voicemail so left the scheduler a message describing the urgency of my non functioning door. So after almost two weeks, still nothing from their end, only hard-pressed action after I kept up with the contacting.

Installing my new windows with Window Nation’s has been the most valuable project. I have done at my home.
My home was built in 1983 and this is the first time the windows are being replaced. This has lowered my energy bill and my house does not feel as cold or hot during the changes of seasons. I love Window Nation.

On March 30th we signed a contract with Window Nation to replace our windows, we knew we had seven days to cancel as specified on the "NOTICE OF CANCELATION". On April 1st we drove to their office located at 871 Cromwell Park Drive, Glen Burnie, Md 21601 signed the "NOTICE OF CANCELATION" and had the manager Shawn William also sign and date the "NOTICE OF CANCELATION". I was told I would have my refund in 10 days. It is now April the 28th and when I called their office they tell me someone will get back to me in two days. I guess I will need to seek legal counsel in order to get my money back.

Scheduled an in-home estimate with Window Nation for 7 PM and they completely no-showed—no call, no text, nothing. Took time out of my evening for this and got zero communication or respect for my time. If this is how they handle appointments, it doesn’t give much confidence in how they handle actual projects. Really disappointing first impression.

Last year, my husband and I bit the bullet and invested in new windows by the Window Nation. The process began in spring, and the windows were done and installed by July. The sales rep was quick efficient and to the point during his presentation. We paid over $21,000 for 12 windows. And we’re told that these windows were the top of the line windows, the best windows that they sell. The install day was quick and efficient. The men really worked hard but after the install was complete we had two issues with our windows that we immediately noticed, one in our kitchen which had an air leak and was hazy at the time of install and another window in our basement that wouldn’t open or shut correctly. A tech came out to inspect the issues and couldn’t believe that they would install a hazy window, he said they will replace that. The basement window size was off by just a little and he had a new one made, and that one was replaced as well. Then moving into December as the cold months were starting to hit, we noticed major cold air drafts coming through the bedrooms. Are electric/gas bill had drastically gone up. The bedrooms were so cold continuously and we didn’t understand why our rooms were so cold when new windows had been installed. Come to find out that these slider windows that were installed in the bedrooms, have a drainage area for water to escape, and there is a major draft of cold air that comes in through this window design. For being the top of the line window, you would expect to have a better design. We had both a tech from window, Nation and a tech from the window manufacturer come and check the windows. They all said this was the design of the window and nothing could be done, but that we could put a blanket or towel there for when it gets cold to block the cold air from coming in. This isn’t the response you want to hear when you just spent so much money on brand new windows. Our 25 year old slider windows that we had previously didn’t have any issues with cold drafts coming in. We simply wanted new windows to help our house be more energy efficient and these new windows let more air in. To invest in a product and expect the best, we are highly disappointed. Due to the numerous issues we are extremely dissatisfied with the quality and outcome of these windows. Given that there is no viable solution to correct these air leak issues, our disappointment is significant. Knowing now that nothing can be done to fix our windows is incredibly frustrating. We truly wish we had been given this information upfront, as we would not have moved forward with the purchase.

When we first got our windows installed, we recommended Window Nation all the time. The windows are beautiful, super functional and smooth, and install went well. However, we have experienced a number of issues with our windows and screens, and the process to get them resolved has been inconvenient and cumbersome. We do have a lifetime warranty, which they have honored, but the process is extremely difficult and slow. We also had an issue with a rip in one of our screens. We were told by the salesman that they also had a lifetime warranty, but were then told by Window Nation months later that we needed to register our screens within 30 days in order to qualify for the warranty, the instructions of which were never given to us. I don’t appreciate the duplicitous and overly complex nature of the company and issue resolution. They were absolutely invested in getting the sale, but not in customer satisfaction.

I signed the initial contract in September, but the windows were not ready for installation until late January. My main reason for ordering the windows in September was to have them installed before the winter set in. Once scheduled, the installers did a very nice job. No complaints on the workmanship or installation.
