Easy, logical, concise, and complete. Priced right.

Quicken Willmaker responding quickly to my telephone call. I had a 2021 version and needed to upgrade to the latest version so Willmaker made the process very easy.

I used this software 5 years ago. I needed to update everything, so I decided I'd try LegalZoom instead. What a mistake! Their software offered almost no options on most forms (e.g., couldn't list alternates for anything!). There was no place to enter contact information for any of the people named. It was just so basic (and still $149). When I chatted with them, eventually they said, "Just pull it into Word and edit it there." Are you kidding? I argued with them for a while and got my money back.

I returned to Willmaker. Here, every person named has full contact info listed on the forms. You can list up to two alternates in succession for each form. There are ABUNDANT instructions for me and for my executor, power of attorney, and healthcare power of attorney. And it says, "don't edit these in Word - that's dangerous! Go back to the software to make changes." I feel so much safer now.

I hope I won't need to edit them again. I also hope that when I pass, everything is legitimate and doesn't cause problems for my survivors. Based on what I've seen, this is the best product available.

I was thoroughly impressed with Quicken Willmaker Plus. It was very self explanatory and covered so much more than I expected. I was able to create a will for my husband and myself and also a Power of financial attorney. It guided me through every step of the way and offered great pros and cons to consider about the various choices. Very professional and well thought out. I needed to call once for help and the customer service agent was able to help me solve my problem quickly. The value for what I paid was incredible. I feel much better now having an updated will that covers everything I needed. Thank you Quicken Willmaker for creating such an amazing product!!!

Getting a current version of Willmaker was easy.. Downloaded the program, ran it and completed my document in a short period of time.

This is an extremely easy product to use. The instructions are easy and if you find yourself needing more help, there are instructions on what it means.

I don't like leaving bad reviews. We were hopeful with the software. We'd tried two others without success, but the reviews were good for Willmaker. The software is unforgiving. For example, I made a mistake (don't we all?) when I selected that the executor should not be paid. It was impossible to correct. I spent 2 hours on the phone with the helpful and nice support, but they were unable to resolve the problem. Since the executor's name flowed thru the document, I couldn't work around the error. A technical ticket was created but I never received a response. In the end, we had to download all the forms and make manual corrections with a PDF editor, which is not ideal. I had another problem with the will as well. I tried to work around the problem and ending up having to completely redo the will. If you have an easy estate and you never make a wrong choice with the software, you'll do fine. Good luck!

Update: 4/2/26 After this review, Nolo reached out to me and I spoke with the lead developer and we went over my technical issues (even though our wills and trust are done and signed). One issue is in the works to be fixed. The other is a complicated aspect of our situation that I underappreciated. I loved that they took my review to heart and analyzed their systems to correct the process. Unfortunately, my technical ticket fell through the cracks. Bottom line: if you have an uncomplicated will and estate, this is a very good, less expensive option than an attorney.

This is my third purchase of your software. I am generally satisfied with the input and completed documents.
However, the weakness is the omission of a specific bequest form allowing for the award of jewelry, art, firearms, etc. I have to generate an addendum to the will for these items.

Works great, easy-to-use.

I needed to update my 10-year-old Will to reflect life changes and to adhere to laws in the state to which I had moved. I researched numerous will-making products, but I chose Quicken Willmaker's software because it contained all of the documents I needed. I found it to be very easy to use and I'm confident my wishes will now be fully executed at the end of my life.

What my wife and I found especially helpful in using Quicken Willmaker in creating our wills and power of attorney documents (health and finance) was the clear and easy to follow step-by-step guidance provided by Willmaker through the process.

Willmaker gets the job done easily and accurately.

Great software, easy to use.

Without having any legal knowledge (re: the development of a Will (for estate purposes)), this product was straightforward.. it offered and explained all the relevant docs to prepare;... and generally, it developed an outcome that I needed (which was a 'Will' document that I felt represented all that I needed for my estate planning and piece of mind).

It's hard to believe this company has such a high rating. There is NO ability to deviate even slightly from the very basic format they present. In fact, this seems more like a will posing as a trust. I could find no accommodation for a subsequent trustee in case I was incapacitated for any reason, no financial power of attorney, no medical power of attorney to make any medical decisions in the event I become incapacitated. All this does is allow you to designate what needs to be included in your estate and who the beneficiaries are and how much of your estate goes to each one to avoid probate. I do have a real trust from a real attorney that needs updating that contains all of the things just mentioned so that's why I am aware of what they've left out. I am sure that in a few years an AI legal agent will offer a comprehensive trust for people for a reasonable price, but this certainly isn't it !! : (
