Wilderness Scotland promised a well-planned and incredibly scenic itinerary for my hill walking week. This tour company delivered in every aspect of their promises. A week of hiking in the scenic Scottish Highlands was accompanied by great food, a beautiful guest house accommodation in a jaw dropping location, a friendly and knowledgeable guide and amazing memories. I'm already looking into the next tour with Wilderness Scotland.

Scotland is a great country with kind people and good companies, like Wilderness S.becsuse of your mini van you take people to places we Mighty not otherwise see ourselvess.

From start to finish, the hiking trip met all expectations.....well organized, good communication, excellent accommodations, food, great hikes with interesting sites along the way. And an excellent guide with us the entire time. Worth the price of admission!!

Our hiking experience was enhanced with our guide, Aiden, who was very informative and cordial.

This was my third trip with Wilderness Scotland. I return because the guides have always been not just informative but personable and generous with their time and energy. The lodgings have been excellent (much nicer than what I often choose!). The people attracted to Wilderness Scotland's tours, my co-hikers, have always been lovely, and I've kept in touch with several.

Our week hiking on Skye, Harris, and Lewis was superb with expert guiding, local food, and dramatic views. Our guide offered historical background, natural history, poetry, and humor in ways which deepened our experience of the land and those who love it. The hikes were varied from challenging to strolling on a beach looking for dinosaur footprints. The logistics were handled with clarity, flexibility, and ease. This could serve as an introduction to Scotland or a further adventure for experienced travelers.

Very well organized. Guide was very knowledgeable of the hiking trails, plus local history and geology. A storm required trip plan changes, which the guide and office staff handled very well, resulting in minimal changes to our trip.

Our deluxe walking trip around the Shetland and Orkney Islands far exceeded our expectations! The stunning cliffs, breathtaking views of the ocean swells breaking on the rocks below, rocks sculptured by centuries of wave actions were majestic. With each hike to a broch, a standing stone, or pre-historic settlement was a fascinating connection to the past. Most importantly our guide, Anita took excellent care of us! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable on the nature and wildlife as well as the history of the ruins she was patient, friendly and so pleasant throughout the trip. As a ten day hiking tour with comfortable transportation, charming historic hotels, and delicious authentic Scottish meals included we found the cost very reasonable and do highly recommend this Wilderness Scotland excursion.

Wilderness Scotland did a fine job coordinating our West Highlands Way Walk ... We were a group of six senior men and we thoroughly appreciated the timeliness of the luggage transfers, the clean and comfortable accommodations and especially the friendliness of the accommodations owners and staff. The trip went off without a hitch and we very much enjoyed ourselves.

I enjoyed my trip immensely. The guide Martin was very helpful and made our experience pleasurable,.
The accommodation was beautiful at Cullin House however the food didn’t have much variety. The lunches were made daily with our choice however we never got our brown bread which was disappointing. The walking was amazing and the history also. Thank you Wilderness Scotland. PS our group very friendly and the coach bus only had 5 people which was fantastic. Would recommend this holiday

Had a five-star experience during my week hiking on Isle of Skye with Martin (guide). My experience was seamless...every detail taken care of. The hikes, accommodations, meals, transportation, were outstanding and I made some great new friends along the way. Hope to come back next year!

I had a fantastic time on the Wilderness Scotland HIghlights of Shetland and Orkney hiking trip. Our guide, Rhona, was very personable and led us on one fantastic hike after another. She deftly pivoted when weather or ferry schedules required rearrangement of the itinerary. These islands are beautiful, remote and have remarkable histories. The seabirds, cliffs and wind were breathtaking. Sign up for this trip!

Would have been 5 stars if a clearly physically challenged trip participant had been properly screened out and thus not impaired the experience of others doing the trip

The tailored activities to our interests and having a competent entertaining guide to drive us 1000miles around the country was fabulous, relaxing, and stimulating all at once. A very good detailed itinerary was put together for us.

This was a great adventure! There was variety and challenging hikes as well as casual hikes, but all included the best scenery. The day on the boat was the best weather day, thankfully, and the whole experience was just so enjoyable. I didn’t know what to expect with a guided hiking trip and was a little nervous about being able to keep up with the group. There were moments where it was so challenging that I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to finish, but I did and it was exhilarating. The views were incredible and the stories and history along the way added to this great experience. I would 100% do this again, especially if able to have the same guide, Aidan.

My experience with Wilderness Scotland was seamless from booking, to arrival, to exploration. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. The guide, Aidan, was particularly so, and read our group well, adjusting and communicating plans to address particularities or our group and the weather. The accommodations were lovely and food plentiful and delicious. The scenery was, as they say, priceless.

A wonderful experience

Accommodation on the Way is limited by the distance travelled during the day. so it’s sometimes interesting. But the views and the guide more than made up for that.

Traveling with "Wilderness Scotland" was a wonderful experience. All trip details were cared for. Everything was well organized yet there was still flexibility built into the adventure for folks to have free time to explore on their own.

Great customer service prior to the tour and our guides were excellent during the tour.
