Horrendous customer service. I have emailed the "customer service" for help for at least a couple of weeks with no response.

Impressive Interface but BEWARE
This might be a good choice if your agency has a professional web person and that person continues to hold that position.
But if you are an agency staffed by volunteers, this might NOT be a good choice. If your webmaster needs to be replaced by someone with only medium web skills, this might NOT be a good choice.
The tutorials are designed to help a person SET UP a site, but there is NOT a lot of help for maintaining an existing site.
Some help files are excellent, but others send you into an endless loop. An example of this: help files say that you can change the fonts on calendars, and perhaps earlier versions did allow this. But with the current themes this can only be done with CSS (something the average person can't do!)
I waited an hour to get help via CHAT, only to be told I needed to hire a third party developer to help with my problem.
To be fair, we had a lot of inexperienced people touching our website over the years. The most recent volunteer asked for help via Chat, and the chat staff person recommended a theme change. I don't think that person cautioned us enough about the full impact of that change. As a result, we now have calendars that can't be printed.
I repeat: we have inexperienced people trying to do a job that requires a certain level of skill. We made a mistake, but that mistake was based on advice from "Support Staff." That mistake can only be fixed by hiring a third party vendor or learning CSS ourselves. OUCH!
We will continue to maintain this site. Eventually I may learn enough CSS and get one of the calendars back to the old-fashioned black and white format that our volunteers need.
But I want to warn others: yes, there is some impressive stuff here. But BE CAREFUL. This interface may not forgive you if you make a mistake.

Customer service is non-existent. I've been told for days to utilize the live chat feature - nope, it is not available and hasn't been for days yet we have a paid subscription. The templates are buggy and when you ask a question about why it isn't working you get referred to a FAQ that doesn't address the issue you are having. I don't think there are actual people who work at this company. Plus they are increasing their prices for this below-average software and services.

DO NOT USE WILD APRICOT. Every request for support for my account takes way over 5 business days for a response, if it's answered at all. On-line documentation is unreadable. I've been with Wild Apricot for about 7 years. Phone support to totally gone, which is interesting as they keep raising prices. I've pinged support, accounting and then a key executive on LinkedIn for my financial update issue and NOTHING. Save yourself and your association the time and agony - go with any other vendor, DO NOT USE Wild Apricot.

Wild Apricot used to be a nimble, technically savvy company oriented toward constant platform improvement and customer response. Since being taken over by Personify in 2018, it has turned into a cash cow with a user wishlist whose top requests, including several simple changes needed for good member communication, have languished for years. In the last six years prices have gone up three times, a total of 118%, plus introduction of a 20% surcharge if you don't use their credit card processing system. Account pricing is based not on number of members but on contacts, which includes each person in a family and any nonmembers who ever registered for an event, unless removed by hand. Wide gaps between price levels can lead to a price shock as your organization grows.

It was easy to move over to. We depend on it for running our club, particularly events and membership renewal. It's given us a good-looking website, easy to edit and expand, although a lot of time is spent in working around quirks in line spacing that have been a source of constant complaints for many years yet have never been fixed.

But frequent price increases and almost nonexistent feature improvement have turned a decent platform into one in decline. It's often necessary to fight its limitations, particularly in event creation and registration. It assumes that memberships are individuals and bundles of individuals, each with their own record. This makes it a challenge to maintain, communicate with and register for events couples and families. Reports are limited in flexibility and not particularly useful - it's usually necessary to export data to Excel and format your own.

Any complex platform is going to have situations where you need to wrestle it into doing what's needed. A well maintained platform will have a program of smoothing and eliminating these as time goes on. Wild Apricot no longer tries.

Restrictive and difficult to customise. I've used Wild Apricot for a few years but NOT by choice. It's for a client who uses this platform. Coming from the WordPress background (which I have worked in for over 10 years), I find WA so incredibly frustrating to use. It's got very few theme options, hardly any features (i.e. no contact form widget for starters!) It's so clunky. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I've been with Apricot for years and their once superb support is gone. I submitted a support request that was urgent and it has been 4 days and no response. They have changed their interface and updated their system frequently and with each update comes a new issue with how system has worked for my non-profit group. We have been using Wild Apricot for almost four years. We chose it because it was the least expensive club management system available at the time. The basic functions work pretty well. However the user interfaces (both for members and administrators) are reminiscent of software twenty years ago. We often get complaints from our members who have trouble logging in, making reservations for events, submitting payments, etc etc. Wild Apricot has not fixed a single problem despite numerous support requests. Moreover, WA has raised their prices, and recently forced us to convert to their payment system (replacing PayPal which we originally used), so WA now pockets transaction fees. We have finally had enough and are looking for a replacement. Hopefully new competitors have emerged in the four years since we chose WA.
Edit as of April 2022: WA has fixed some problems while others remain. Improvement is slow and uneven.

They produce solid tools and builds amazing communities around them.

I strongly recommend!

Our non-profit has used Wild Apricot for probably four years-primarily because it's the only platform that fits (generally) our specialized needs. Customer service is invariably snarky and unresponsive-except when demanding frequent price increases. Not satisfied merely jacking up our monthly subscription cost, they introduced a bloated and overpriced credit card processing service along with an additional monthly "service fee" for customers who refuse to use it.

these guys are a rip off - they want your money and will bend over backwards to get it. Once paid they slam the door - I had to leave and get a site built from scratch just to escape and get my business running properly

Wild Apricot is a great software for our ski club, Austin Skiers. It is easy to use for our members to navigate and sign up for all of our events and trips. The technical support team is the best and always able to help with or admin issues with have with the software.

Wild Apricot is a great program for our small homeowners association. They have been responsive to my questions.

Wild Apricot is the best software I've seen for running our club, providing website building, billing, event planning, membership support and communication.

I have used their service for three years now (my organization for quite some time before that) and must say, we are more than happy with them. The database is quite powerful yet very simple to use, the help files are extensive, and the stability of the system and uptime absolutely wonderful. When there is a query or problem, their service is very responsive too. No reservations about recommending Wild Apricot to any organization.

Wild Apricot has been a very good choice as a website host and membership management software for our professional organization. The features that Wild Apricot offers meet almost all of the needs we have for member management, event management , and member communications. Wild Apricot support and added features continue to provide excellent service and options as they add new features to the site. On top of that, the cost for Wild Apricot is very reasonable! We are very happy with Wild Apricot and would recommend it to other organizations!

Wild Apricot has shown itself to be consistent, a feature our company relies heavily on, as an international agency. Great work!

I do recommend Wild Apricot to anyone seeking a first rate system for a membership organization. Five plus years ago, Wild Apricot took us from multiple spreadsheets for membership and dues, from having to pay up to $1800 to have someone change our static website, from inconsistent e-mail blasts that did not project a consistent image, and from many more manual tasks to an integrated membership system administered seamlessly by members in several locations in SW Florida.

We also appreciate Wild Apricot support. If we have a question, we usually find the answer on-line, but if not, Wild Apricot is there with an answer to our e-mails for help in less than 24 hours. And not only will they offer a solution, they often go the extra mile and fix whatever I need help with.

The only uncomfortable thing I can say is they have had to increase their prices modestly during the last couple of years, which makes it difficult for small organizations. But as a retired banker, I appreciate that the firm must remain financially healthy to survive.
