Wemo/Belkin cancelling support!
I am extremely upset and perplexed by the recent decision from Wemo/Belkin to discontinue support for older Wemo models. I recently received an email informing me that these devices will no longer be supported, with no replacement options. This means that all of the products I purchased for my home will stop functioning, forcing me to spend hundreds of dollars to replace them. I cannot understand how a company could treat its customers in this manner. For your reference, I am including their official letter below:
Hi there,
We’re sending a reminder that support for select Wemo products will end on January 31, 2026. After this date, the Wemo app and cloud-based features such as remote access and voice assistant integrations will no longer be available.
We know many of you have relied on Wemo devices for years, and we’re truly sorry this may affect your setup. To help minimize disruption, several Wemo products will still function locally through Apple HomeKit.
Products that will continue to work through Apple HomeKit:

Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Light Switch with Dimmer (WDS060)
Wemo Smart Light Switch (WLS040)

If your product is still under warranty on or after January 31, 2026, you may be eligible for a partial refund.
