KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Arvostelua

I had it a few years ago with a holiday in a gulf state where vpn is not encouged: KeepSolid helped me with some adaptations.
Last week, I had some weird issues with connecting: they helped again pin pointing it to my ISP, and finding the way around. Worth every penny!

As a lifetime user which spent tones of money by purchasing their lifetime products for more than $300 at least. I have always been a BIG fan for this company with 5-star reviews & recommended their service to friends over the years, but guess I made a bad mistake as am seriously losing hopes and trust on this VPN service in upcoming long term or even short term future.

Since couple years ago not only did not expand their server locations like any other reputable company, but they began gradually shutting down the already existing servers one after the other!

It all started around late 2023 and early 2024 when VPN Unlimited began shrinking their global server network as they suddenly got ride of 3 very good and useful servers including the Costa Rica, Isle of Man, Cypress & Argentina.

The company has never clarified the reasoning behind this sudden servers shutdown other than "issues with providers in that region" and "we have no ETA when or if the servers is back on service again" whenever I asked this from customer care department. Seriously?!!!!

for couple of years the paused this server shutdown problem until last week. This time it was not about 2-3 server shutdown, but a new dozen set of European servers completely VANISHED without any official statement or post on their website or social media accounts or ANY reasonable explanation on behalf of Keepsolid customer care dept. as the owner & developer of VPN Unlimited, except the same useless response as before, "we have issues with server providers, please be patient"!!!!

As of this writing on June 8, 2026, about 10+ servers have gone offline and disappeared from the server map.
This server locations are: Armenia, Turkey Plus, Bulgaria, Moldova, Latvia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, Denmark, Belgium, Ireland, Iceland, Portugal & finally the dedicated BBC iPlayer streaming server.

(which none of these servers named above are accessible as of this moment).

This horrible massive server shutdown happened in LESS THAN A WEEK time frame!!!! and still with no explanation.
The only reason that I assume this major problem is most likely due to Keepsolid getting into a serious financial trouble that can not afford paying for their VPN servers to data centers that is renting their servers from, and unable to keep up with their offering these server availability as this is impacting their service and connection quality so HARD.
Other than financial issues, nothing else can justify losing access to 14 VPN servers in 14 countries at ONCE and all of a sudden!!!

I mentioned connection quality because that also became so unstable with so much interruptions on some of current available networks.

And before you ask, NO this is not an app corruption or issue with my device or account, As I tasted the VPN service on 5 different devices and OS platforms. So removing/reinstalling the app or logout/login to account does not resolve such issue.

I really liked VPN Unlimited and still do and support them and at the same time understand this is a mid tier VPN service and I dont except the service quality and 100+ server locations similar to ExpressVPN or NordVPN or SurfShark.

But REALLY wish the Keepsolid CEO & their technicians get together to at least keep the existing service quality and server availability by doing something to address and fix this mess to keep their users, otherwise this company will go down the hill very soon.

I'm still waiting for a reasonable answer from Keepsolid.

***UPDATE***
As of 6/18/2026 two more VPN locations collapsed too!

Hong Kong & Finland also went down soon after my initial feedback above, along with previous 14 VPN locations that were shut down earlier. So it brings to a total of 16 missing countries!!!

In your response to my feedback you claimed this problem caused due to issues with server hosting infrastructure! It's not about one or two VPN servers in one locations to justify your claim!! There are exactly 16 locations are missing & impacted your service. That means there's something more SERIOUS going on behind the scene.

Ok, let's forget about recent missing servers.
What about the ones that you removed from the service almost 2 years ago & said the same thing exactly about them at that time in your support emails (issue with providers & infrastructure, No ETA).
Cypress, Costa Rica, Argentina, Isle of Man!!!
When these 4 servers went down one by one in a short period of time, your excuse was exactly the same. You've said they'll be restored as we're looking for a new host provider. But NONE of those servers EVER back online again.
Now about these new 14 missing VPN servers, you totally removed their names from your server locations list on your website as well.

So how can you promise that this issue will be resolved soon and these locations restored?!

I have been with KeepSolid for approx 6 years. The service always works well. I have had to contact support a few times over the years about accounts, etc., and have always been amazed by the speed and quality of their customer service.

Whenever I have a question or anything I need help with, the Customer Service and Tech Support teams at KeepSolid are amazing! The response time via email or app is only a few minutes no matter what time of day I send a message or email. They are prompt, efficient and extremely helpful. I bought a lifetime permanent subscription over 10 years ago and have used it on many of my devices over the years.. Mac, iPhone, iPad etc.. and have never had any serious issues at all. I would highly recommend KeepSolid and VPN unlimited.

Hello. I canclled My trail 2 days after gettting and still you take My money 500DKK????? Plz return the money and I will change for good review this is not okay i canclleded. And ive done so 2 times now

Several years ago I purchased a lifetime membership to keep solid unlimited VPN. It seems to me that they actually phased out the unlimited lifetime. I'm assuming that didn't mean my lifetime I guess it meant the company's lifetime? How did they just take stuff away from people if you've paid for it ?? And never give them any warning. I had no idea that my lifetime membership was canceled. We should get a refund!

I recently changed my primary email and it was tied to my VPN Unlimited account. The support team helped me transition my purchase history so that I could keep using VPN and SmartDNS.

Works well even on my old Mac
Help works and I received a helpful reply in about one hour.
