Goede prijs, makkelijk besteld en snelle levering.

Het pakje kwam de volgende dag al aan, daar was ik heel tevreden mee. Ik moest het jammer genoeg retourneren. Ik heb al geaccepteerd dat ik daar nog extra voor moest betalen. MAAR mijn pakje is inmiddels al een week geleden (2 oktober) geleverd aan jullie magazijn, en nogsteeds heb ik geen informatie over een verzending terug naar mij. Inmiddels word mijn rij-mogelijkheid al 10 dagen uitgesteld. Jammer…

I placed an order with VoordeelHelmen worth €2,625.47. The goods were marked as delivered by PostNL, but I never received them.

What has been most disappointing is not simply that the delivery went wrong, but the way VoordeelHelmen has handled the problem afterwards.

From the beginning, I repeatedly asked very specific questions about the delivery: who actually received the parcels, who signed for them, where exactly they were left, whether they were handed to another person, and whether they had simply been left unattended.

Instead of properly investigating those questions, VoordeelHelmen repeatedly focused on the delivery address and attributed responsibility for the loss to me. I explained many times that I was still living at that address when I placed the order and that my complaint was never about where the parcel was sent, but about how PostNL actually handled the delivery.

I also raised concerns about different signatures appearing in the delivery information and provided evidence that I was not even present in Antwerp at the relevant delivery times.

Eventually, because I could not obtain a proper investigation through the seller, I contacted the Belgian Postal Ombudsman myself.

Following that referral, PostNL investigated the delivery and confirmed in writing that its driver had acted incorrectly, left the parcel unattended, and that this resulted in the loss of the parcel and its contents.

At that point I expected the matter to be resolved.

Instead, VoordeelHelmen questioned the PostNL communication and asked for confirmation directly from PostNL.

I contacted PostNL again and arranged exactly that.

On 18 September, PostNL sent the result of its investigation directly to both VoordeelHelmen and me, confirming again that the parcel had been lost because of incorrect handling by the driver.

VoordeelHelmen had previously told me that they were waiting for exactly this direct confirmation from PostNL.

I therefore expected the refund to finally be processed.

Instead, their position changed again.

VoordeelHelmen is now saying that they cannot refund me until their own delivery partner, MyParcel, completes its process and approves their insurance claim.

They have even stated that MyParcel may ultimately refuse to approve or pay their claim for contractual or other reasons.

This is the part I find especially unacceptable.

MyParcel is VoordeelHelmen’s commercial delivery partner. I did not contract with MyParcel, I have no control over their insurance arrangements, and I do not understand why the success or failure of VoordeelHelmen’s own claim against MyParcel should determine whether I receive my money back for goods I never received.

What has frustrated me most is that the reason for delaying the refund has changed repeatedly.

First, the issue was said to be the address.

Then the PostNL investigation was questioned.

Then VoordeelHelmen said they needed PostNL to confirm the result directly to them.

I arranged that and PostNL did so.

Now I am told that the final decision depends on MyParcel and their insurance process.

Each time I provide the information or confirmation I am told is required, another condition appears.

VoordeelHelmen already has PostNL’s investigation result and can forward it directly to MyParcel if necessary.

Almost four months later, VoordeelHelmen still has my €2,625.47, while I have neither the goods nor a refund.

I will update this review immediately if VoordeelHelmen finally resolves the matter and returns my money.

UPDATE – 29 September 2026
VoordeelHelmen has now confirmed that the full €2,625.47 refund has been processed. I am still waiting for the money to reach my account and will update this review once it does.
I am nevertheless still very disappointed with how this case was handled. For almost four months I had neither the goods nor my money, while I repeatedly had to push for the delivery circumstances to be properly investigated. PostNL ultimately confirmed that the driver had handled the parcel incorrectly and left it unattended.
What I find especially disappointing is that the refund was only processed after VoordeelHelmen received confirmation that it would recover its own money through MyParcel/insurance.
I had also asked for a small additional goodwill gesture because of the long delay and the way the case was handled. Instead, the company described returning my €2,625.47 itself as a “gesture of goodwill”. Returning the purchase price for goods I never received is not what I consider goodwill.
I will update the review once the refund actually reaches my account.

Fast and easy delivery even though I am a few countries away. I bought the helmet and a couple of days later I had it.

Een helm gekocht van een merk die ik al had maar helaas was de pasvorm toch onprettig, retour sturen was geen probleem, wel zelf portokosten betalen.

Keurige nette prijs, snelle en zorgvuldige volgende-dag-levering. Prima ervaring, zeer tevreden.

Op zoek naar een nieuw communicatiesysteem. Bij voordeelhelmen uitgekomen. Duidelijke website. Bestelling ging eenvoudig. Verzending ging snel. De installatievideo helaas van een andere website moeten halen.

Goede bediening/voorlichting, alleen een medewerker ging mijn maat schoenen zoeken in magazijn en kon ze niet vinden. Toevallig zag een andere medewerker dit en ging zelf zoeken en vond ze wel...
