I feel extremely disappointed with the Vision Express Club subscription model and I would not recommend it to anyone.
You end up paying for two full years for something that never becomes your property. After 24 months, the glasses must be returned, meaning you are essentially paying long-term for something you will never own. Please be very careful if this subscription is offered to you in-store. Do not be as careless as I was.
In my opinion, this model only makes sense for people who already replace their glasses every two years and discard the old ones anyway. For many of us, older glasses are still useful as backups in case something happens to the new pair. Under this system, you are required to return them in good condition, which makes you feel like you are using a rented item — similar to driving a leased car and worrying constantly about damage.
I reconsidered the agreement the very same day I signed it and immediately went back to cancel. Despite this, neither the store staff nor customer service were willing to help or find a reasonable solution. I even offered to pay the full price of the glasses in one lump sum so I could simply own them outright, but this was refused.
I find the lack of flexibility and empathy in handling the situation unacceptable. Please think very carefully before committing, because once you sign, there is effectively no way back.
