I had been using Virtually There’s virtual address service for over 1.5 years for my business, and initially, everything worked as expected. However, sometime last year, they introduced a new policy stating that all mail and posts received would be disposed of after 90 days.

The main issue is that this change was never clearly communicated to me as a customer. As someone based outside the UK, I rely heavily on such services to securely hold my business correspondence until I can arrange a consolidated pickup. This was the entire purpose of using a virtual address service in the first place.

When I later contacted them to arrange collection, I was informed that any mail older than three months had already been discarded. This was extremely disappointing, as I had been expecting my documents to be safely held. Losing potentially important business correspondence due to a policy I was never properly informed about is unacceptable.

Following this, I withheld one month’s payment and clearly communicated my concern — that without reliable mail retention, the service does not meet my needs as a non-UK resident business owner. Shortly after, I decided to cancel my subscription entirely.

In response to my review, the company stated that the issue was due to non-payment. This is misleading. The non-payment was a direct consequence of their failure to communicate a critical policy change and the resulting loss of my mail.

Overall, my experience has been disappointing. Transparency and proper communication are essential for services like this, especially when customers depend on them for important business operations. Unfortunately, this was lacking here.

You need to find a secure way of immediately sharing your office address with registrants. I applied for my Virtually There account because Companies House needed the registered address. I applied on a weekend. And so now I have to go back to companies house and change the address because the one you've emailed isn't technically the same as what I put on my logement form.

Virtually There offers a great service allowing me to concentrate on other more important.

Ignored cancellation request sent a year ago, billed for another year and threatened with lawyers.

Following a year long usage of services my subscription has been cancelled with the reason that my country of residence has fallen under the HM Treasury’s guidelines for countries with high-risk for money laundering. And no, I am not from some third-world country, my country is in the EU, but I acknowledge that there might be risk associated with it.

However, note that these are just guidelines and not bans. I requested a check to be done on me, I am a honest person working for over a year and using this address, but it was simply refused to me. I expected the company to be a bit more understanding as the change of correspondence address everywhere is a lengthy process for me.

So my advice to people is don’t start using it if you are outside of the UK. Some day they might even put the US or Switzerland even under this list and just close your subscription. You are better off with putting the address of some relative or a simple mail forwarding service. Cheaper and more stable long-term.

Setting up my virtual office for registering my limited company was incredibly easy. Everyone on the support team has been genuinely lovely, providing professional and timely responses throughout the process. The scanned post service is also an excellent feature that adds real convenience. I would highly commend their service.
