I bought a 1953 Gibson LG1 from Heiko at Vintage Guitar World. Buying a guitar online without trying it first is always a little risky. Talking about sound and feel of a vintage guitar through mails is not easy but Heiko knows what he is talking about. He speaks as a guitarplayer rather than a salesman. I ordered the guitar and 2 days later it arrived. Fast shipping and very securely packed. After a few chords I already knew that Heiko’s description of the feel and sound were spot on. The 73 year old guitar is a marvel. Selling vintage guitars is a salesmen thing, selling “good” vintage guitars requires knowledge and musicianship. I have been playing guitar for quite some time and I have the opportunity to perform in public and play with a band. I wanted to treat myself and decided to buy an acoustic Martin guitar. I was very lucky and found an offer from Vintage Guitar World for a used Martin HD28. I knew what to expect from this guitar. But I really didn't expect to meet great understanding and helpfulness from VGW. As a customer from the Czech Republic, I was a little worried, but everything went great. Shipping without problems, excellently and with sensitivity packaged. The dealings from VGW were completely professional and I think exemplary. I really tested the guitar at home and I have to say that buying an instrument in this store is a great joy and experience. I had an excellent experience buying a 2000 Martin D-28 from Vintage Guitar World.
Heiko was extremely patient and responsive, and he provided detailed photos of the neck, saddle, and action at my request. This gave me full confidence in the structural health of the instrument. He answered all my questions quickly and clearly, making the entire process very smooth.

The guitar was packed safely and arrived in Berlin within 48 hours. It came in great shape, with comfortable action, a healthy amount of neck relief, and a tall, future-proof saddle. I’m not a Martin expert, but I’ve tried a few over the years — and this one plays and rings fantastically.

Ich habe heute eine außergewöhnliche Flamenco Gitarre gekauft, die klanglich und optisch neue Maßstäbe setzt.
Mit Herrn Liepold hatte ich einen Termin vereinbart und konnte in angenehmer Atmosphäre bei einer Tasse Kaffee in aller Ruhe diese Gitarre testen.Kein Zeitdruck im Nacken, niemand da der auch auch eine Gitarre zeitgleich mit mir testet wie schon so oft in anderen Musikhäusern.
Man kann in Ruhe testen und Herr Liepold beantwortet jede Frage mit hoher Fachkompetenz.
Michelstadt ist eine wunderschöne Stadt - die Altstadt muss man gesehen haben.
Ich empfehle einen Besuch von dem Gitarrenparadies des Herrn Liepold und danach einen Stadtbummel in der schönen Altstadt.
Nicht lange überlegen - machen!!!!
