This application shows clear signs of being deceptive and intentionally charging users without consent. It automatically renews subscriptions without any prior notification. Even after I canceled my subscription, I am still being charged. I have sent multiple support emails but have received no response at all. This is unacceptable and highly unprofessional behavior. I demand a clear explanation and an immediate refund.

Tons of 1 star reviews for a reason.

Their platform is sub optimal and very limited in what it can do. Not only that if you subscribe to a plan and find out how limited they are and try to cancel same day they will deny you and tell you something about protecting the integrity of the company. 1 day cancel and no refund after finding out you bought a subscription to an awful platform. Will charge you money even if you do not start a subscription. Prove to them you did not start a subscription, and then refuse to give you a refund and/or guarantee you won't be charged again. Wish I could give them below one star. One star is too much.

Không một dịch vụ nào nên giữ tiền của khách hàng khi khách không còn nhu cầu sử dụng và hủy ngay sau khi phát sinh giao dịch. Cách làm này rất thiếu minh bạch và gây mất niềm tin.

App.videogen has been charging my card automatically every month without my clear awareness. I believed I had subscribed for one month only and had no intention of continuing the service.

Just one day after the charge, I noticed the payment and immediately requested to cancel the subscription and get a refund, but they refused, stating that refunds are not possible.

No service should keep a customer’s money when the user does not want to continue and cancels immediately after the charge. This practice is unclear, unfair, and seriously damages trust.

👉 I strongly recommend being cautious and avoiding app.videogen.

I tested VideoGen by creating a video on working at height and ladder safety. While the text content was loosely relevant, the video generation was extremely poor.

The AI repeatedly recycled the same images to artificially pad out the video, the overall visual quality was inconsistent, and many of the generated video clips were completely irrelevant to the topic. The end result looked amateur, repetitive, and unusable for any professional or training context.

The experience was so bad that I requested a refund within hours of purchasing an annual subscription. That request was refused immediately, with no attempt to acknowledge the quality issues or offer a reasonable resolution.

Based on both the product performance and the customer support response, I cannot recommend VideoGen.

The product is not poor but it is overpriced and both the refund policy and the customer service leaves much to be desired in that regard.

Perhaps if there were a more accommodating/flexible refund policy I would return to this service if I needed it in the future. As of now - I would not, nor would I recommend it to others. I would actively seek out a different provider for this service should I need it in the future.

I do not recommend this software. After month of testing, I must conclude that Videogen is completely unfinished and fails to deliver on its promises.

Main Issues I Encountered

Quality and Functionality
The software is riddled with bugs that make efficient work impossible. The algorithms matching images to scenes perform terribly, generating nonsensical combinations that make no sense in the context of the content. The regeneration option, instead of helping, works even slower, prolonging the process rather than speeding it up.

Actual Efficiency
Instead of automating and reducing work time as advertised, I spent hours reviewing footage frame by frame and fixing countless errors. This is the exact opposite of the intended effect. After several attempts to create sensible content, I concluded that it's better to edit videos manually using free AI tools.

Opaque Credit System
It's completely unclear how credits are spent in the system. There's a complete lack of transparency in this fundamental aspect of the platform's operation.

Serious Subscription Problem
Despite canceling my subscription before the next billing cycle, the platform continued charging me for 2 more months without my consent. Moreover, I never received any email confirming the subscription cancellation. This is a basic feature that any professional platform should have, and its absence seems intentional. As a result, I had to block my card.

Videogen is not suitable for creating quality content in the timeframe they advertise. I strongly advise against it and dont ever put your card information in there.

BTW: This is the first review I've ever written about any software, which shows just how poor this experience was. Usually, when a tool doesn't meet expectations, I simply end the collaboration and move on. But in this case, I feel obligated to warn others.

Great application and in my experience great support, they are constantly updating the platform and if there are any minor bugs that i've spotted/raised they've been quick to respond and fix them.

A good tool until you need some support - it's completely non-existent - no one ever there on live chat (sat for 4 hours) and no response to 3 support emails and multiple form-fills for support on their website. Just an auto acknowledgement. If something goes wrong. If the audio doesn't produce properly on a track you've wasted your money as there's no option to edit it. If a video stalls while being created (for a week so far) then you've wasted your money as you've already been charged , there's no option to reset it and there's no response to support emails. Shame as it's a great tool when it works, but it's too expensive not to work and have no support at all.

It was okay until i learned who is behind the company.
Suddenly videos in Pais Toi, Khmer, Arabic cannot be downloaded anymore. Play store has removed the option to leave a review.

The limit for creating a Video this time is 16 days. Please let users know the specific credits! It's too much to bear when buying to experience and still have limits like scams. Ok there are many other tools much better! Will never recommend this GenVideo to anyone. A very bad experience!!! Waste of money!
Another important problem: The downloaded video is recorded in 4k but the quality is like HD, not even FullHD, the AI ​​quality is terrible!!!

I get a message stating my subscription has been suspended due to a failed payment. However, the money has left my bank and it says Pro beside my user name.

The issue appears to be because they tried adding additional team members to my account without my consent and asked me to pay for them. I neither wanted nor asked for these fictional people to be added.

One support member told me that all the memberships are tied so I need to pay for invisible extra people in order to get my own account working.

No matter how many times I explain what happened, they reply with a copy and pasted response about clearing my cookies etc.

Is this site a con that I have fallen for? I can see some good reviews but my experience is that I have been conned.

And before you reply, VideoGen, asking me to contact your support, I have done this multiple time and received only the copy and pasted reply outlined above. NOBODY has attempted to help me or understand or resolve my issue. Not once.

VideoGen is a terrible app that only wants to take people’s money. They don’t care about customer satisfaction, only about charging you, even when you try to cancel.

They automatically renew your subscription and won't cancel it.

Great service at an affordable price. Customer service is very responsive for help when its needed.

I love the app, but they are not transparent with the limits. The pricing plan advertises "unlimited videos per month", except that if you use it consistently you get errors like "you have reached your weekly (or monthly) limit". And when you inquire about it they tell you you have to wait, or upgrade to a higher plan again.
They won't tell you what the limits are.
