I must admit to being biased, I have been buying Video 125 products for so many years that I remember them issuing a V2000 video!! Every one that I have bought and I must have well over 50, is a gem, all down to Peter's efforts and his choice of the "commentator". I would love to know how they are all filmed but when Peter addressed my local RCTS I could not attend!!

Great subject matter, great photography and great commentaries.

Another fascinating Indian rail journey featuring spectacular scenery aboard another quirky vehicle. Enhanced by Jonathan Kydd's measured and calming narration. An ideal companion for the Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling and Kolkata Tram videos. All very well worth watching.

I have used video 125 for many years and enjoy their presentations. My only criticism of their procedure is that, since they started downloads, they give you a link to download your recordings, but this is only available for a certain time.

I believe what they should do is allow you to set up an account so that you can go and re-download your purchases at any time. it is very possible that they can have a limit on the number of downloads you can have, but this would save a lot of hassle. It would also enable you to keep track of which recordings you have had from them.

I have also recently written to them as I am visually impaired and I noted they are now using more text on screen during their driver IVs. In the past, they used to have the text but they also used to speak it at the same time which was much more inclusive.

The video arrived in two days from ordering. It's an interesting subject but I find the lengthy previews of other dvds somewhat irritating.

It started bad with the web-engine denying my existence, but turned great when the Video 125 stepped and fixed it.

Quite apart from the depth of detail that is gone into, researching the line that's being presented, the quality of the photography, inclusion of run-bys and station arrivals and departures, and general views of surrounding areas and points of interest make these videos way more interesting than other lesser offerings. Not only that, there is now good coverage of the UK and Ireland, as well as some lines in Europe and even the Far East.

Add to that the fact that these have been filmed over a period of something like 35 years and you have the added benefit of historical content. It's even interesting, sometimes, to see how much fashion has changed when looking at the passengers waiting on the platforms or walking about the stations - scary sometimes too!

Now that Video 125 have a cutting room floor full of goodies themselves, they have produced several compilation products. One such is the Signal Box Archive that I have just purchased. This takes footage, much of it not seen before, from many previous visits to signal boxes during other DEVs. It forms quite a comprehensive view of the mechanical signalling approaching its phasing out, and the electronic signalling that replaced it.
