Vicroft is a small web design studio run out of South Yorkshire, UK. I started it back in 2016 and since then I've built websites for founders and small businesses who want something that actually looks like their brand, not a template with their logo stuck on top. Everything I build is coded by hand - HTML, CSS, JavaScript on the front end, and PHP/MySQL when a site needs a proper backend or database behind it. I stopped using WordPress a while ago because I got tired of the bloat, the plugin conflicts, and sites that all start to look the same after a while. Custom code means the site loads faster, doesn't break every time a plugin updates, and can look exactly the way the client wants it to, animations included. I also build fully custom ecommerce sites when a client needs to sell online, again without relying on premade platforms or themes. Most of my clients come to me because they've had a site built before and it either looked generic, loaded slowly, or they simply couldn't get anyone to make small changes without a headache. I try to fix that by keeping things simple: one person, direct communication, and a website you actually own and understand. I also manage hosting for clients through my own setup, so support stays quick and there's no third party to chase.
