Vacuvita Arvostelua 

I am loving my base unit. Having tortillas and bread last for over a week outside of the refrigerator - staying soft and fresh - is wonderful. My fresh blackberries are as fresh as the day I bought them - a week later. This making my food more flavorful longer and more affordable. I'm excited about buying more fresh foods and using all of the containers and bags.

I was a bit surprised by how large the base was, but it actually fit into my kitchen quite well. It holds a surprising amount of bread and rolls, which stay fresh for over a week. It's very well made and very easy to use

Took a very long time for the product to ship. I had forgotten about it actually. I now live in Hong Kong and the product had to be shipped to my in-laws in the States. So, after waiting for two years still don't actually have the product I paid for.

Vacuvita home base replaces the old 'bread box'. Place crackers, bread, chips, cookies inside and close the lid. The shelf-life on these products is extended by days and weeks in some cases. The vacuum pack feature is easy to use and quick as a flash. No more freezer burn. I love the simplicity of vacuvita. Looks good and works great. I waited a long time to get this product while the good people at vacuvita ran all the tests to finally get to market. It was worth the wait. Highly recommend.

Great system---so far, so good! Feature I like the most, is that the containers can be reused...making Vacuvita even more economical than other food storage systems I researched.

It is a convenient/easy experience to use the system. It's so great to be able to preserve fresh food for so much longer! It's excellent and i would recommend to anyone.

There is a slight learning curve to use, but after learning it's common sense, really. herbs such as cliantro and parsely shouldn't be too wet, only slightly, in a covero, and they stay fresh for a long while.

The only slight issue seems to be with the bags. They generally work great. Sometimes a bag won't keep the vacuum, however. Not sure why. It's only sometimes, and then it seems to be that the bag just won't keep the vacuum (after repeated tests). On one, i tried a piece of scotch tape over the hole in the bag (where you put the vacuum connector) and it worked (kept the vacuum for a couple of weeks). I was able to re-use this bag, and it kept the vacuum again (with the same piece of tape on it), so the issue may be the hole.
Also notice, that sometimes when using the bag in the freezer, after frozen, the bag will have a little air in it. I presume this is just freezer side effect, after re-vacuum sealing, most of the time the bag seems to keep the vacuum (unless it's one of those described above).

The occasionally bag issue is so minor, though, compared to how much i've been using the unit, and enjoying fresher food!

Works great, took awhile to arrive, but the product is very polished.

Super sexy and reliable.

The complete package is a great addition to essential kitchen-ware tools. It also helps save money on food that would have expired that can't be eaten fast enough or have been forgotten.

The long wait is over!

The Vacuvita containers are beautifully made. I've been using a couple of them to store bread and coffee. So far, they are great.

The unit is much bigger then expected

After waiting awhile for it to arrive, dealing with customer service (who were amazing!) I received my Vacuvita full kitchen system and it has worked phenomenally!! Highly recommend to those who don't want to waste so much food and enjoy fresh taste!

Does a decent job of keeping fruits fresher longer than average.

I have been using the Vacuvita for several weeks and it has performed as presented with the exception of the fact that the base unit will not hold a vacuum and will only keep a vacuum only if I keep the unit plugged into the electrical socket. I was also under the impression that the lining in the base unit would be removable to clean. It is much more cumbersome to use if you are putting items into the base unit with a liquid such as for brining as advertised. The base unit is the only container large enough for many brining applications.

The second point is the rate of vacuum is very slow. The evacuation process takes a long time and to use the unit to evacuate items such as ziploc bags is not practical. The process is so slow that air leaks back in as you get close to a vacuum and a vacuum is never achieved. You cannot even get close. With much cheaper units of much lesser quality, this process is not a problem.

The method of producing a vacuum on the vacuum canisters is awkward and needs work. The attachment of the hose to the vacuum attachment unit is in adequate. As you move the vacuun attachment into position over the canisters, the hose often times comes loose. You need two hands to be sure the hose and vacuum attachment stay together. One of the reasons is because the hose is too stiff and inflexible and the other is because the flimsy rubber attachment is less then adequate.

Overall I have given a 4 star rating based on the quality of the unit and the accompanying canisters. As for function, I would say it more a 3 star item. With a few improvements this could be a very nice unit but as it stands, having waited 3 years, I am not blown over by the functionality of the unit but like the quality of the unit and if the functionality were as hyped in the long development process, I would be very pleased with the unit. As of now, it has a lot of potential that has not been achieved.

Well first this long awaited product (I'm an original Indigogo supporter) was worth the wait! I flipped out when I saw it had been delivered!

So far I've used it for a week as a bread box and it was perfect for keeping our Gluten Free breads soft and mold free. Since then however I've found an even more amazing use for my Vacuvita, storing sugar cookies! I'm a decorator at a bakery and I use it to store all the undecorated cookies in to keep them in-stock and fresh!

We've been using our Vacuvita for just about a month now. We have the main unit as well as 1 large, 4 medium, and 2 small containers. Since we've been using it, we've noticed an immediate improvement in the freshness of our bread and cookies. Our crackers stay crispy, and most importantly, our whole-bean coffee keeps that "just roasted" smell and taste for far longer.

The system is easy to use and clean, and I still get a kick out of opening the main unit. It's like something of Star Trek.

If you want to keep your food fresh and have fun doing it, go get a Vacuvita now!

My Vacuvita was everything I expected. Excellent build quality, great design by people who had to have put a lot of carefull thought into their product. I'm amazed how long our bread, fruit and vegetables last compared to our old ways of storage. I encourage anyone on the fence
considering weather to buy or not to just go for it!

VacuVita is a superior product. i participated in the original crowdfunding and while the product development took much longer than expected, the company provided progress reports throughout.
The final product is much better than the original concept and Customer Service is excellent.

So far it seems to be working as advertised. Have had it for only a couple of weeks and have used it for bread storage to great effect. It's bigger than I was expecting which is the only negative thing I can say at this point but that's not a big problem. Hoping it lasts for a long time.

I received my product ten days ago and was thrilled with the look and quality. Very proud to have on my counter top. I immediately utilized the "mother" container for my bread and Blueberry streusel loaf. In the past my bread stayed fresh for up to 4 days with about a quarter of it going to feed the birds. The streusel loaf being really moist, would dry out or get moldy. That is no longer happening - my French Country Loaf is as fresh to the last slice as when first placed in the container. The streusel, as moist and tasty to the last crumb. I am thrilled with the product. The other containers I have not as yet had a chance to use but expect them to be every bit as satisfactory as the "mother" container. Thanks for providing such a great method to keep our food products fresh.
