I listened to that commercial and gave it a try. Of course I had to understand that your discount isn't on the same day. You pay first and after you have been verified you will get the amount. But if they can't find your receipt you don't get anything. They used to ask you to upload your receipt if they couldn't find it but now they don't. For a complete month I never received a request for my receipts and all of my purchases expired with me not getting any credit. I live in a rural area and I would travel to the gas station that was on the list just to get the discount but didn't happen. Spent gas to get thier so I am very disappointed and have stopped using this app. 3 purchase in Nov 23. All purchase in January 2024, February 01,2024, and all purchases in March 2024.

I always wondered what the catch was, I figured it out. You're not saving anything on gas. This app routes you to gas stations that have the highest priced gas. You may get 15+ cents per gallon back at some point but if you just drive down the street to the cheaper gas station you'll save the same right now.

Only works about 20% of the time. It is a waste to try to use it.

I have been using upside for 3 months and all the sudden my balance disappeared. There is no way to contact them for help. You have to fill out their form and send receipts for every purchase. Way too much trouble to go to for the few dollars owed me.

I’ve used Upside for 3 months for gas. Collected and try to cash out a $24 for a Walmart card. It says it takes 2 days to get it, but it’s been a week. I think I’ve been scammed.

This app used to be good.. now u go to a station and use app with card on file..says it processing ...then after awhile expired.. if you contact customer service you may or may not get credit.Total waste of time..Bait and switched...

A 1 star review is generous. For a 1st time user, I was supposed to get a 55cent per gallon discount at the BP station the app directed me to. I purchased 20 gallons, and followed the instructions. I never received a nickle, so I tried again, only to find that they took my new customer bonus, and again they didn't credit my account. Finally, after 4 tries, they finally gave me a $1.93 credit, but to withdraw that, they charge $1.00. I followed their instructions exactly as told, each time. Bait and switch tactics are used.

You have to spend more most the time to get the cash back and 3/4 of your purchases will not be refunded in time and will say EXPIRED. I give this company a big fat F for falsifying and misleading practices..

Very poor customer service have not received any cash back for the past 6 times; have provided proper proof of payment and sent receipts to them!!!! Constantly getting a different response from the different representatives! Very poor customer support from April 6, 2024

Upside App is not dependable. When you cash out your savings they do not show up.
When you engage Support, they claim you just have to wait. It was 3 months the first time, this time it's going into 4th week. So I do not recommend Upside APP.

I have to thank my grandson Milo for getting me all set up on this, epically since we bought the RV.

Putting his instructions here for all friends: "So just search for the app ‘Upside’ and anywhere it asks for an invite code, promo code or referral code put 3XUD6 to receive a bonus after using it for the first time” - and it worked!!!

As you know about a year ago Barbra and I reluctantly bought a very nice new Class C RV to explore the country in. From day 1 to now, we've just loved it. We retired last year so still staying within a few hours from home then we will do our long trips and we can’t wait. We are not athletic, adventurist or very social. I have a very bad back and use a walker or electric trike. I wanted this lifestyle and was worried I was nuts. But it’s the BEST! We do as we please, always meet new people and there are weekends I just stay relaxing inside of it! The downside, no surprise - has been the gas prices. So anything that helps to save money is a thumbs up from me.

I feel like this is a scam. I haven't received any cash back. This app sends you to gas stations that are higher priced and show you what you'll pay with the cash back. Only you actually get nothing back. I'll stick with Walmart+ and continue to get 10¢ off per gallon.

I didn't recommend this app.

The last 2 times (and a few times prior) I haven’t gotten my cash back for a gas purchase. It says processing for so long (2 weeks), that finally it is expired! I sometimes go to stations where the gas is a little higher priced if they take upside, knowing I’ll get cash back to make up the difference! No more!!

It's a scam you go running to these places thinking you getting cash back when they so call process the transaction they say I dint qualify because you didn't use the card attachment but when you go the wallet on the app your card is there then they say oh send a screen shot from your bank statement proving you use the card to pay for it the app is a.scam I used it for a month and haven't gotten anything back

They have not paid me out for so many transactions. Because I didn’t upload proof of all these within 15 days they expired. What is the point off the app if I have to constantly be checking if I got my reward. Since January 2024 I have not been paid out for 12 of my 13 purchases. So disappointed.

If I could give a negative score I would. The way this scam looks from my point of view is they pay out almost a third of the time and say you didn't get the savings and pockets the cash you don't receive . Then they tell you that you'll get .45 cents off a gallon and only give .20 cents off. They are criminal geniuses. By giving a little saving they keep the clients committed to the site, because we think some savings is better than none. I give the one star for the genius ( douche bag) that thought this scam up....

Turns out after you pay for your gas you have to press paid. I was not doing that the first couple of times. Now I’m receiving cash back. I don’t understand though I had seven dollars on one and they took a dollar of my money. It’s very strange.

I never got paid for my first transaction. No one to talk to.

The worst app ever. It’s rigged to work only once every 20 times you try to use it.

I have had the upside app for less than 2 years now and have earned almost $300 back. This is the ONLY gas and food app that you can ligitimately get cash back via give cards. I recommend this app to lessen the pain from bidenomics.
