Great Service!

Extremely helpful and accommodating with a fabulous portfolio of holiday villas. Nothing is too much trouble and they are only too happy to help with additional services, if needed.

After being let down this year by…

After being let down this year by another travel company unique step in and have been great, they been accommodating and patient and be able for our belated celebration to continue next year, I thank you unique.

Absolutely abysmal customer service

Absolutely abysmal customer service. A request to delay the balancing payment was met with the following;

As a British ex-pat I am embarrassed at the UK attitudes and actions and given their desire to flock to beaches, queue 3 hours for McDonalds, IKEA and even now still be in doubt of the important of wearing face masks in public - to reduce the risk of asymptotic persons spreading the virus - It is highly likely that the UK will indeed go into lockdown - but hopefully the government will continue to allow everyone to stay at home and still receive 80% of salary.

We have throughout Covid remained open and responded to all our clients and continue to do so - we have been operating since 2003 and yes we might be a small business employing 35 staff in the Uk and Portugal but at least we have stayed open and not relied on UK govt handouts.

Our owner has declined your proposal and balance is due immediately or we will under the terms of the agreement cancel the booking with loss of deposit.

Avoid this company at all costs. I lost my deposit. Clearly the only thing The author needs to be embarrassed about are his business practices, his spelling and his grammar.

Dear Henry,

We do not have your name anywhere on our system as ever having booked a property with ourselves, but we have looked into the matter a little further and see that a representative of the company did send a frank reply to your equally frank email.
"We would also prefer to pay the owners directly as we are also aware that many small travel companies are unlikely to have the ability to continue to trade because of cash flows issues. Whilst we appreciate that our withholding the balance makes that more likely, we do hope that you understand that making a direct payment to the owner near the time will ensure we aren’t at risk of losing the balancing payment"

We are sorry that the property owner did not want to meet your request for revised payment terms and to bypass us completely (we forwarded your email verbatim), it was your decision to not proceed with balance payment and to lose your non-refundable deposit, your last email to our office was very clear.
"Fine. Cancel it. "

As the booking agent we are tasked with reconciling our guests demands against our contractual obligations with the owner.

We have allowed many guests to transfer their booking to alternative dates this year or next and many guests have appreciated being able to do this, given we are all dealing with a Force Majeure situation that means a fair compromise should be found.

There is a popular web site called Owners Direct that you might wish to consider using for your next trip

Hi Hans, hope you are keeping well. I am not sure why you left this review as we do not sell anything but we do rent your villa - this year we rented your villa from 21st July until the 20th August ? Perhaps you did not understand who Unique Luxury Holidays?
