Uncrate Arvostelua 5

I ordered a watch from Uncrate that never arrived. Their customer service was somehow both lazy and aloof, and didn't help resolve the issue at all. They pushed off the issue on FedEx (which they use) who didn't take a picture of delivery (based on Uncrate's own delivery choices). FedEx won't move forward with the investigation because I'm not the sender.

There's absolutely no proof on my end they even sent anything. I would avoid this using this place and go with a legitimate vendor who spends the extra fifty cents or whatever it is to make sure that deliver confirmation exists. I'm out over $150, have no watch, have spent hours trying to resolve this, and deeply regret using them.

(US$499) for their recent large Mystery Box. Opted for the “Outdoors” items preference.

Total i got 6 items my box.

I got a pair of New Balance joggers - ok just nice i needed a pair

A pair of Danner Boots “Artic Grip” - just nice could use a pair of these for my winter escapades and cold temp camping

Then i got 4 tops which i didnt like and will probably give them away.

A Filson tee, just a normal tee
A Filson work shirt that was oversized
A Sunspel polo shirt, plain and normal
A Barbour down/ quilt jacket that was branded but looked really liked i was wearing a quilt sewn into a jacket.

If i were to assess the value of the items received, sorry to say if these items were on sale at shops, i could probably picked them up at this price or lower. So Uncrate, better do up the multiplier the next time to x3 or x4 value.
In Japan the mystery boxes priced at $100 gets $300 minimum retail value.

Maybe categories should be more varied. If i had 6 items in Outdoor category and i had 2 shoes, 2 tops and 2pcs of camping equipment or accessories or something different it would have been better. 4 tops of which none i like, none that looks good on me. I would have been happier if 2 of those were like a torchlight or pocket knife.

Buy again?
Probably not immediately. Will look at reviews and see if future releases improve.

I love mystery boxes but this box is not that value to jump on. Would rather spend the US$500 on online sales.

I ordered $120 watch from them that never was delivered and they refused to issue a refund. Although I had video evidence that nothing was delivered the entire day. Scam company. Avoid.

I have been buying/collecting camera’s since I am a teenager, and have published photography and been in some exhibits. I ordered a camera from Uncrate in July 2024. I was aware it might take a few months to arrive. As no one bothered to ever update me, I emailed diligently to check on the status of my order, once a month. On August 5th 2024, I received an email confirming they had received a few units, and that I was at the time “4th in line”. During the autumn, as I kept checking in, they confirmed on 3 occasions they had received a unit. Hence, when I asked them to confirm I was next in line, I was surprised to be told that I was still “4th in line”. They provide new excuses, run around (read: lies), in each communication. They do not have the courtesy to sign the communication from an individual (it comes from “Quartermaster”). This is most disorganized, dishonest, unreliable seller I have yet encountered online. Really sad.

The products are usually good, but you can often find the same thing cheaper elsewhere. The main problem is that Uncrate sends emails showing your item shipped when in fact only a label has been made. I contacted them and asked if it could be right that they emailed me the my order had been shipped, but four days later FedEx stated that while a label had been created, they had not received the package. There non-answer was that they just didn't know how that could happen, but I would be receiving an update from FedEx by the next day. I did receive the update which showed that FedEx had received my order the very day that I asked Uncrate about it (coincidence?) and they just didn't know. So I emailed Uncrate again and said that the order was not actually shipped until four days after they said that it had. I expressed my displeasure that they said on their site that ordered items would be delivered in one to four days after ordering. And yet it had not even been shipped until four days after the order was placed. The order is to arrive today, a full seven days after ordering. I do not like a company that not only doesn't do as the say, but then lies about it, and finally refuses to acknowledge an email proving that they lied. If you can find any product that they offer at a cheaper price elsewhere, go there instead. As an example, I have checked numerous books on Uncrate, which are cheaper on Amazon (not necessarily known for being cheaper). I have no affiliation with UnCrate, FeEx, or Amazon. I just think in this day and age, people have a right to know if online sellers are fair and honest.
