Alhamdulillah i found Ulum Al Azhar for my Quran and Arabic studies. Trusted and accredited by Al Azhar University, this is the academy i can put my trust in.

I been studying in Ulum Al Azhar since they open. The lecturer really explained to us and it easily to understand. They also very patient toward all the students and always show concern towards the students. Its very enjoyable and looking forward the class.

From the start of this journey, communication was effective, sorting out my classes was effective and then accommodating my times and having 1 on 1 classes.

I recently started a course with Ulum Alazhar Academy this month and have completed my first two lessons in the Ashab As-Sila package with Ustaz Mohamed Salman. I would like to express how truly satisfied I am with these initial sessions. I believe that Ustaz Mohamed is highly knowledgeable in his field, but what stood out to me most is his ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible way. He ensures that every point is well understood, which I believe is one of the strongest qualities a teacher can have. I am very pleased with this experience so far, and I sincerely hope to continue learning with him throughout this package—and beyond, insha’Allah.

Experience – Uluum al-Azhar (Maqam) with Ustadh Samir**

I’ve been taking the *Uluum al-Azhar* course online with Ustadh Samir, focusing on *maqāmāt*, and it has been an eye-opening and rewarding experience. Ustadh Samir is incredibly knowledgeable, and his teaching style combines deep scholarship with clarity and patience.

Learning about the different *maqāmāt* under his guidance has helped me appreciate the depth and precision of Islamic tradition in a whole new way. He makes complex topics accessible and always ties them back to their practical and spiritual relevance.

Even though the course is online, the experience feels personal and engaging. Ustadh Samir creates an environment where questions are welcomed, and learning is taken seriously. I’ve grown in both understanding and appreciation of Islamic sciences through this course.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to study traditional knowledge with authenticity and depth, especially those interested in the beauty and structure of *maqām*.

I get recordings of the videos so I can see what my daughter is learning and I can help her. My child loves her teacher and I feel very confident in the ways that she is being taught and the ability and knowledge of the teacher to the extent that I have added additional classes and I hope to enroll my other children to this. As a parent, I find the following particularly useful:

-knowing what is being taught and being able to see the lesson
-being able to communicate directly with the teachers and admin (Ustadah Sarah is amazing!!)
-I am confident in the teachers knowledge-for me this was a big reason for moving to this school because as a parent in the West with so many different options available, I had to be confident in the teachers themselves which I really am.
-The interface with the organisation is so easy-quick Watsapp messages, Google chat etc.

I really would recommend this to parents who are busy but still want to understand and support their child's Islamic education.

I like learning from Ulum Al Azhar because the program is structured, the goal is clear and the teacher is good. I can easily access my notes, the recording and also the teacher gave me feedback after each class to know my progress. I will continue my study with them, I feel like I really learn. Whole team was great. The director, the ustaz and the admin was very friendly. Ustaz Abdullah was patient and very sharp n alert in spotting hidden mistakes which i have been making all the while in reciting the quran although I have talaqqi with 4 other different ustaz before. I thank Allah for the convenience that he had bestow upon us; the great Internet connection and the opportunity to talaqqi with the one of the best asatizah in the world. BarakAllahu feekum.

Alhamdullilah I’ve had three classes with my teacher so far. I like the division of the class into sections of reading and repeating; sight reading, and from time to time my teacher will give me the history and meaning of the Surah. May Allah bless her and everyone in the organization in helping us understand our deen. Amin.

Whoever is interested in learning the science of recitation, I highly recommend the course taught by Sheik Ustaz Samir. He is a great teacher and a great reciter who will help you on your journey to recite beautifully with the correct articulation points, tajweed and maqam’s just like the Egyptian greats i.e. sheik Shahat Mohammad Anwar / Minshawi . Overall 10/10.

I've completed the memorization of al Jazariyyah under sheikh Mohammad Abbas. Sheikh Mohammad Abbas has always been accommodating and flexible with times and has a great amount of patience in teaching. Sheikh Mohammads communication is excellent in all aspects, he's explanation of the rules of tajweed is brilliant and he always makes sure that I understand and remember what he has taught me. Sheikh Mohammad always checks if what he explained is clear and if I do not understand he will ensure that I understand by explaining the rule multiple times, sheikh Mohammad also tests me to ensure that I have retained the information from previous lessons. Sheikh Mohammad Abbas is by far one of the best teachers I have ever witnessed.

MashaAllah, great teachers. May Allah put more barkat in their teachings.
