Yes I fell for the £100 voucher, the £100 for bank transfer and the slick UK?!!! website. (really I should have known better) The London address is a front (buy yourself a smart London address type) . There is no speedy delivery from UK. It took me 50 emails and several weeks to cancel my order and yes, I did get a refund, so not a scam for me but their finances are disorganised to say it in the kindest way. Customer services Anne Moore did reply to email but they are in the USA, so expect answers to UK to be after 3pm. to clear up the main points. 1. There is no UK Warranty it has to go to USA, 2. On line help will probable still be ok. 3. The invoices will probably not include VAT for UK buyers. (I cancelled remember). If you want to order from USA because some models are not yet in UK eg. LG Gram17", AMAZON is cheaper, even after £200 discount! and they deliver and deal with all import tax, Vat etc. and still are approx. £100 less all inclusive. So my advice, do as I say not as I do, is to stay well away from this business, The hassle is not worth it and Amazon do a quicker job (3 -5 days from USA) are more reliable and cheaper. I gave 2 stars purely because they did answer my emails and did refund me eventually. It was a harrowing experience don't let it happen to you.

Ultrabooks or actual name Ultraboooks (3 x o's) is seemingly just one individual in New Jersey USA who takes your UK money up front, runs out to a local store and buys your note book then he mails it to you. When it arrives the product packaging states the content is just a case worth $20. He avoids paying VAT and thus he makes his profit. You the customer can not claim VAT if your a company as non has been paid, nor will you have any warranty or guarantee. My Samsung notebook arrived within 2 weeks and 12 months later thankfully remains working perfectly. I tried contacting them several times regarding a VAT invoice & the warranty issue but I was ignored. While this is not a 100% scam it's very dodgy practice, false economy, and I would avoid it.

I got the laptop but it was a hassle!

A) I had to chase as to when the laptop arrived
B) The US UK adaptor broke shortly after getting the laptop
C) I had to pay FedEx fees of £40 despite the company saying this was their cost and despite 3 emails asking about this I am yet to receive a response..

Whilst their website looks nice and their 'team' will gladly help you choose a laptop in their online chat box, once the money is in their hands you will have no more help from, nor will you have an invoice to claim Vat back, nor will you have sufficient proof when approaching the producer of the product to claim your warranty on your purchase.

Their address, situated in the middle of London, is just a forwarding address and so too is their phone number. I strongly suspect whilst it looks like a fully fledged company in fact is run by a single individual whom buys direct from the manufacturers whilst evading tax and service obligations.
Having bought a Laptop at a premium price in August of 2016 for work, I soon found the laptop to be faulty, and clearly a fault of the manufacturer.
For months now I’ve been trying to get it fixed, as it should still be covered under warranty.

Problems to note :
- Ultrabooks.com will give you no support once purchase is made.
- My online account with Ultrabooks still has my purchase as ‘processing’ and am yet to receive a Invoice with company details.
- Paperwork provided has been deemed insufficient and will not be recognised by asus.
- Having sent over 30 emails, to ultrabooks, and further chased with phone calls I have had 2 replies. Both of which have been unsubstantial and unhelpful.
- Asus UK will not cover the warranty of any products purchased through Ultrabooks.
- Only once having said I will write bad reviews did Ultrabooks contact me. A single email was given in reply asking what the problem was and I have heard nothing since.
- They simply do not care.
