All lies. Dreadful. Avoid
On Friday 23rd October I had my appointment where I was quoted £3550 for work to be completed in my attic and some photographs shown to me that were apparently from my loft. I live alone and trusted this company to enter the loft and quote me, I told them I dont go in there and waited patiently for him to finish his quote.I went along with what I was told and wrote notes down and repeated the wording to a family friend within trades afterwards about what required doing. The worker told me that he would email me before the end of play that day. 1 week later and I'm still waiting.
Anyway, today I assisted with clearing my attic and this is the reality..
UESN - your insulation is soaked
Reality - it was bone dry. I saw and felt it myself, no moisture whatsoever.
UESN - There's thick mould all over
Reality - no mould whatsoever
UESN - the timber needs treating, firstly to clear the mould away, secondly to treat the timer thats so damp that its at risk
Reality - its bone dry
UESN - £3550 quote
Reality - 12 rolls of knauf insulation at £27 a roll, timber treatment, all ppe, mould and mildew spray, everything the worker suggested. I have money leftover from £500.
UESN you should be ashamed of yourself. You have fed me lies, no doubt shown me pre prepped photos of a terrible state elsewhere because those images weren't my attic. And finally to not even follow through with the promised quote and contact with details of works to be done, you are appalling.
This is a warning particularly to anybody considering using this company, especially if living alone. They will quote you for a bunch of lies.

Heating Cost saving for geriatrics.…
Owning our Four Bedroomed Detached house built in 1972 presents an economic challenge. I’m 81 and my wife’s 90. The service from UKESN was excellent with a great installation team working absolutely hard over two days, installing SF 19 underneath our roof and a replacement deck of 100 mm Mineral Wool leaving proper ventilation in our loft.
I’m a mathematician and have recorded our Energy Usage for more than ten years. Immediately I noticed that our room temperatures have increased suggesting that the new loft insulation is working. With all the parameters it will take some time to calculate the reduction in our heating costs, but I will work with my brother, a Doctor of Statistics, to calculate the savings in our case.

Rep was here ten days ago
Rep was here ten days ago, promised to send a quote the next day. Ten days later and four chase up calls from us and still nothing. If the job is too big and they don’t want to do it- just tell us! They obviously aren’t interested and we have gone elsewhere. Complete waste of time.Well they replied by saying Pippa would phone us today to discuss-and guess what ! No phone call! They also say they have sent two estimates- we have received no estimate. My husband verified our email address.

They got in with the job expertly and efficiently ,what mess came from the loft space was contained and removed with care.
It was hard work for them as I had the home boiler replaced which made it very hot for them in the workspace , they battled against it and as far as I am concerned they won .
