I contacted them to add data to my plan. I was told that I could get 5GB for 1,000 points or 15GB for 2,000 points. I selected the 15GB option. The individual I was working with took the 2,000 points out of my rewards account and them he or someone deactivated my phone. I have spent almost 3 hours on the phone with customer service to get my service restored and the addition 15GB of data or my 2,000 points back. My phone service has been restored however I have received no additional data and they said they could not restore my points. I was told by two of the three customer service reps that I couldn't use points to add data evan after I read from the website that I could. The third customer service rep said that she couldn't do anything about adding data or refunding my points. What a bunch of crooks.

I didn’t even want to rate them the get a -0 in my book. Stupid and incompetent customer service agents even JUNE from the refund department. Stole money from me acting like that couldn’t doing anything for me can’t refund me stole my phone number all of the above WORST COMPANY EVER! They need to burn it to ground and vacuum up the ashes and trash it! Total by Verizon does not need to be a company. I’m pretty sure they won’t last long. Everyone wants to transfer promise call backs etc. They are an absolutely joke and their employees are too. They can literally rot in hell!

Incompetent with the inability to port a number. They shuffle you around from one employee to another all saying the same thing. Total prepaid phones are locked so you are stuck with a paper weight if you can't get the phone to work. Unwillingness to provide a number or email for complaints. I paid on Sat today is Wednesday and the number does not work. Please proceed with caution if you want to keep your existing number because you are likely to lose it with Total Useless Wireless by Verizon

I've been with these clowns for about 3 years. Two weeks ago my phone just stops getting service. About 50 service representatives later, maybe 8 hours over 2 days, it appears to be the antenna on my Samsung S22 (m y best guess based on research)...OK not their fault, but the fact that they do not use a case management system where they have customer/issue history is borderline criminal. Everytime they escalate you, or your call back in, you start from the beginning. So the last 3, 8, 12 hours....nah, they don't count. After this, I transfered my number, mind you not the main number on the account, to a different provider. A few days later, my auto payment set-up is cancelled and my son and my wife's number stop working. An hour after my call with support, we get payments set back up, and the numbers are reactivated... all is good. Tonight, my son's phone gets deactivated. 2 hours later (time on with about 12 - 15 reps), after buying a service plan card as instructed by the folks at Total as my "saved payment wouldn't work to reactivate his number", the pre-paid plan card wouldn't either.....aaaaahhhhhh!. NO! Never again.

Purchased a phone for my elderly dad, they entered the wrong email therefore I cannot adjust payments help him or anything because I live 500 miles away and dad doesn't utilize texting at 90 years old. I just told them I will report them for fraud. I set it up I paid for it and they will not help me at all. IT IS A SCAM! ANOTHER TRICK TO STEAL FROM VERIZON FROM THE ELDERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Total by Verizon has the worst customer service of any cell service I have ever been stupid enough to buy one of there service cards. I got ripped off from the very first day. The Walmart dude sold me a $120.00 card that only can be used on three different phones. Since I was unlucky enough to purchase just one LOCKED PHONE,. I found out later the card was a total bull**** card. Then when I activated the phone the phone stopped working. I was told that the Sim card was not the one that came in the phone. So I spent another 10 bucks on a worthless Sim Card that would not work. Several days went by before one of the compatant persons finally got my phone to work. I asked if I was going to get credit for the 2 weeks without service that I was charged $120.00 for and was assured that I would get at least the two weeks credit. Nope didn't happen instead they simply cut off my service until I paid them another $70 plus dollars to reactivate the phone. I didn't have any more problems until I lost my phone. I tried to get the phone turned off . Instead the person who stole the phone gets to use it until the service needs paid again which was 23 days of free up my ass service because they need to send me a code to verify it's me. My password, address birthdate and last four of my social security card are not good enough information to turn it off and place the. Phone on the stolen list. But if I dont pay them in 6 more days they will be happy to shut it off because I stopped giving them money I need to buy a new phone from I guarantee you this it will never be total by Verizon , I had to rate it one star and that is bulls*** because they deserve a zero. Total By Verizon is totally wasted
I am a long-time Total Wireless customer. Verizon purchased Total Wireless and it is apparent to me that they did so to cause the company to fail. It is working. They have no real customer service personnel. They have hired an obviously off-shore company that has a team of personnel that represent the company as "technical support". I made an attempt to transfer one of my 2 phones to a newly purchased phone. The transfer failed and I was left with no working phone. Since I had to call the company more than 10 times, I know that they follow a script when walking you through their troubleshooting process. I had to work through that script every time I called because they don't keep records of any previous calls made. They have one level of escalation that they can do when they cannot resolve a problem. You are transferred to another team of people who, as part of their script, say that they are a manager that will handle your problem "going forward". They then repeat the steps that have been taken by the previous person and eventually get to a point where they tell you that it could take several hours for the change to get to your phone. They tell you someone will call you back at a certain time several hours later and then the call is ended. Nobody calls back. You then repeat the process. When you ask to talk to a manager, they tell you they are a manager and they are "fully trained to completely resolve any problem." When you explain that they have proven they can't resolve the problem, they still cannot have you speak to someone else because they are "fully trained to completely resolve any problem." I noticed on the website that there no longer is a corporate office and there is no phone number listed other than their call center. If you are not currently a Total by Verizon customer, you should stay away. Current users should flee when possible.
Stay away. Lost money no refund
I purchased a $40 data plan that mostly disappeared from my account. I say mostly because the plan shows under the refill option. When I try to add a device it says I need to purchase a plan. The app won’t let me purchase a plan because I have no active devices— catch 22. Besides as I said I already have a plan.
Literal scam operating legally
Horrible customer service. They do not know how to transfer a phone number as I have called like 10 times in the past week. When you request a refund they take you through loops and hoops to make getting a refund impossible. They will tell you that they sent you an email to confirm and the email never gets to you. One guy hung up on me as I am telling him that I am not receiving an email and to connect me with a supervisor. I am still trying to get a refund from them.
Terrible customer service...takes your money and leaves you high and dry
I purchased TWO phones in one week. Neither phone has showed up. One of them was sent to a different state and they refused to change the address, so I purchased a second one (paid for overnight shipping) I have waited 3 days and have not received any tracking information. Today I called and asked where it is and they advised me that they don't know what is happening and they had to open a ticket and it will take 3-5 more business days to process this ticket. Save your money, run to any other service provider.

What a pain
Escalation dept. was a pain. The person name Dwight claiming that he's the supervisor and hard to deal with. I could not get into my son's account and he is a minor and I pay for his cellphone bill that get taken out automatically every month from my account. I had to switch to a different provider. The phone service and customer service are beyond bad. Don't waste your money with this company.

All I wanted to do was merge 4 lines on to one account. 5 hours into speaking with a customer service person he had deactivated my daughters sim card which I had to replace and did not set up any service. He hung up on me. I called back spent another hour on the phone and this person tells me he has it all set up it will take 4 hours for it to work. It did not work. Called back again and discovered nothing was set up in the system and we did it all again. He changed my account and did not add my family. Charged me more money but no additional service. I have called back yet another time to find out they did not complete adding on the 3 additional lines. Customer service here is horrible. they do not listen. This situation cost me 10 hours of my time and 10.00 to replace the sim card and then 50.00 for the new plan. so here is an update. They could not make the changes necessary because they deactived all the accounts and could not authinicate the phones by sms!!!!!!

There is awful customer service and overcharging left and right. I paid online for my phone service plan on 1.16.24. On 1.18.24 my phone was disconnected for non-payment. My account showed 3 charges on the same date for the same plan. Today I called to find out why my service was disactivated and why I was charged 3 times. Spend more than 1 hour talking to 2 different reps. They both confirmed that my services were paid and no explanation why it was disconnected. I asked to reinstate the service and it took one hour on the phone to get it done. Every time I tried to ask questions I was told "Thank you for your patience, stay on the line". I am very frustrated with this experience.

Terrible, terrible customer service. They have lost my son's number and we are brand new customers. This is the worst company I have ever worked with. They cut you off randomly multiple times on the customer service calls. It is useless. I am going to try a chargeback on my card.

After emailing and posting everywhere I could, they finally reached out to me. I still leave the rating at 1 star. It took several calls, although the team member was nice, this is a ridiculous process to get service. After all this, they also can not figure out how to activate Disney Plus, which is part of the package I paid for. This ranks as the worst experience of any company I have ever dealt with.
