Very disappointing customer experience, with a very bad price/quality ratio: the "flight" itself - although funny - is a 10 minutes show only, after having been seated in 2 "preparation" rooms of 20 minutes each.
It’s a shame that this is not as good value as the reviews elsewhere suggest. I purchased headphones at a reasonable price so I could listen in my own language and sadly this did not work for anyone in the party. I had to read the subtitles on the screen, not ideal when the screens and visuals accompanying the script were in a different position below the speaker’s head. You had to read fast enough to look at the projected images/ holograms and side screens to fully appreciate the 1st parts of the experience. The best part was the ride, to music and didn’t require listening and translation, but was too short. The ride 16 minutes estimated. Overall not good value. Compensated slightly by a refund for the headphones, I suppose that was all we could expect. Had it been in my home country, I would have explained that the experience was ruined by wasting time buying the headphones, downloading on the mobile etc.
This is Holland is a remarkable experience. Lots of information about the history of the Netherlands presented in a very engaging and entertaining way; culminating in an exceptional flight simulator experience with high resolution hemispherical projection.
On the day we visited, there was a minor technical problem that meant there was a longer than normal wait. Juan's customer service was outstanding, turning what could have been a frustrating disappointment into a very positive and memorable event.
A brilliant flight simulator tour of Holland including history of land reclamation. We’d do it again anytime!
