Thestoneyard Arvostelua

From start to finish the service, ordering and end result have been fantastic.
The chap I spoke to on the phone took his time to understand our project, made some suggestions that absolutely improved the outcome.
He has the patience of a saint!
We are thrilled and have no hesitation in recommending

Straightforward ordering, helpful advice on laying stone from company. Narrow access to property was not an issue and delivery went smoothly. Stone looks great, thank you.

Just bought a couple of Milani rifflers to work on stone garden sculptures, the 660 wore away in the first five minutes of work. I did get in touch with the firm and they told me the tools were not suitable for the type of stone worked. I pointed out it was not made clear on the information. They have made an alteration to their information immediately, and will refund me on the unused one. Their supply and service was good but the outcome was of no help to me.

As with many other reviews here the product is very good but be aware that you order /sqM and the company recommends how many pallets of stone that equates to. In my case there was too much supplied and these could not be returned and refunded. Be aware that you may have to resell your surplus!

Appalling customer service from the company Director of all people, hanging up on your customers and telling them it is not your problem. I have never been treated so appallingly. Then refunded my order without any prior notification. Avoid this company at all costs. Mark Betts, brush up on your customer service.

Product as described, but customer service was appalling. Company not consumer ready, but probably ok for trade. Indirectly called a liar by the company director. Email correspondence from the company has been something to behold. Happy to share it but I’d rather hope that someone from the company will learn from the unfortunate experience (as I have) and review their customer relations.

First two orders were great. Products are really good, don’t fault it. I mean that. Third order was a disaster. Delivery attempt on day no one had prearranged (no one home). Initially trying to suggest this was my fault as they had clearly indicated a delivery window (it was 5 days, and very unfair of stoneyard to expect me to wait at my home for 5 days in case they showed up). They agreed to pay for redelivery, rearranged for a specific day and nothing was delivered (waited at home). There was now an admin issue. Then resent again (third time not so lucky), express delivery, yet no information and no product as I write this review. Now to be fair stoneyard has not charged me for extra delivery (but I had to blatantly refuse to pay it). And it has cost them, but where this all just falls down is them washing their hands of this and telling me to sort it out with delivery company - I didn’t hire them, stoneyard did, and to expect me to run around in circles with delivery company and not getting involved in the chasing up is really not great. I won’t buy from them again. They need to get better delivery companies to partner with. And the Covid and brexit excuses for poor service are no longer acceptable. If I can’t get this sorted out tomorrow, I’ll be requesting a full refund (incl delivery) and if refused I’ll arrange a charge back with my card provider. If you have loads of patience, the products they sell are very good, and I’m happy with my first two orders. But when things go wrong, it is very frustrating to get to a satisfactory resolution.

Recently ordered 25 square metres of granite setts for a garden project. Having not used them before, didn't know what to expect. Very pleasantly surprised. Product is high quality and very fairly priced. Delivery was prompt and not too expensive. And the office was easy to deal with. Recommended
