I would definitely recommend LHTC; my experience was excellent from start to finish.

There is no reason to travel to Turkey / similar with this place on your doorstep; the prices are only slightly more expensive but the aftercare you get is incredible.

They will call you in for checkups at 3, 6 and 12 months to see how you are getting on, give you any advice you need etc.

Having previously had a hair transplant 3yrs ago at a clinic based Manchester I found that particular experience quite painful with the numbing stage of the procedure.
The amount of grafts also taken weren’t accurate and the technicians did most of the procedure rather than the apparent surgeon himself.

Dr Kumari does the procedure herself with help from professional technicians who were brilliant. They were thorough, professional, comforting & sympathetic to any worries or anxiety I had.

They provide anxiety medication which is a huge help. The procedure itself took around 10 hours which flew by and I came away from there having enjoyed the experience.

The numbing phase of the procedure itself wasn’t even an issue. Which I found from other reviews on other clinics to be. Including the clinic I first went to in Manchester.
The price for the procedure and after care they provide / suggest is exceptional too!

I made the decision to have a hairline transplant after seeing the results of LHTC on my 2 close friends who had a hairline transplant 12 months earlier.

I initially reviewed the options in Turkey however, after an initial (totally free) consultation with Joy, I had made my mind up. Joy made me feel comfortable straight away, explained the process, took pictures, drew an example hairline for me to review and discussed how many grafts required. After the consultation, I needed some time to arrange time off work etc before confirming with Joy I could have the hair transplant. I was able to leave the consultation without paying any deposit and no pressure at all into paying a deposit or making a decision on the day.

The price I was given was very competitive, just £1500 difference between Joy’s price and a top hair transplant Clinic in Turkey. By the time I had worked out the cost of flights to Turkey etc, Joy was just a few hundred pounds more expensive. I was able to have the transplant in my local area, recover in my own home and didn’t have to worry about getting on flights or being seeing post op. (I can tell you this is worth a lot more than a few hundred pounds)

Because of work commitments, I could not have my transplant on a week day and Joy even opened the clinic for me on a Saturday! I have to admit, the initial needles for the numbing of the head are not pleasant but Joy and the team make you feel as comfortable as possible through the process. Once the numbing is complete, I could not feel a thing for the rest of the day totally pain free.

Post op, Joy and the team messaged me on what’s app almost daily just to check in and make sure everything is ok. I then returned a few days later to have my bandages off and finally 14 days later for the first washing of the head etc.

I have just passed the 6 month mark now post op and I can not believe the results already. What I would say is I have naturally thick hair and therefore each persons hair and results can be different. (Like I seen with my 2 close friends)

My hairline is now much thicker and straighter (as I requested) and it’s impossible to tell only 6 months later that I have had a hair transplant.

Don’t think about going any where else for a hair transplant, Joy and LHTC are the best in the business.

I am very happy with the work that has been done by the clinic. These people have been very good to me the whole team. They mae a lovely cup of coffee! I have had gone to two previous clinics for my hair transplant and my experience with the last clinic was horrible and I was overcharged and still had not enough grafts as he couldn't extract and it was below the suggested number of grafts.

Firstly I didn't tell her any story at all simply asked her for a count. 3032 was the Count / estimate.
Since I explained to her few days ago that you had charged me for 7000 and that count or estimate was really quite irrelevant with that kind of discrepancy, She seems to have reevaluated her position .

I had the first of a two-part FUE surgery yesterday. I have been losing my hair since I was around 17, and have been wearing a hat every day for around 9-10 years.

I have wanted a hair transplant for years, but I was too scared and also a bit too young. I turn 28 later this year and study and work in a professional environment where I cannot wear hats. When in these environments I always spend more time thinking about how my hair looks; if I’ve managed to cover the bald spots etc etc.

I looked around for a while to find the best clinic, but found that most of them had consultations with a consultant/rep, not with a doctor. I am a medical student, and I found that the information a lot of clinics gave me was not much in keeping with the extensive research I had done myself over the years. When I reached out to The Liverpool Hair Transplant clinic, it was Dr Kumari who called me directly within under an hour of me reaching out. She was very confident but was not pushy; encouraging me to still go to the consultations which I had arranged with other clinics, and to be in touch if I did decide to go with her. After looking at more of her work, and having Dr Kumari personally answer any of my questions along the way, this was the clinic I felt most comfortable with.

In general I am a very very anxious person. Day to day I’m around a 6/7-10 anxiety as baseline. So when it comes to big life events such as a hair transplant, my anxiety is through the roof. For 3 or 4 nights before the procedure I was waking up in panic. I was also feeling very nauseous.

However, as soon as I arrived at the clinic, Dr Kumari’s confidence started to make me feel much calmer. It was obvious from the start that she really knows what she is doing, and that she knows what is best for her patients. She was almost shocked at how nervous I was, which I assume is because she must know just how easy most of her patients find the procedure with her.

She very quickly had my head shaved and planned out a hairline. I was still very close to losing my nerve and deciding to not go through with the procedure, mostly because I had read some horror stories online about the pain of the anaesthetic. Dr Kumari did not let me mess about and started the injections. She asked how I was as she went along, and had them all done in no longer than 5 minutes. The pain was ever so slightly more painful than an injection at the dentist, and there are a lot more of them. However, the pain from each injections lasted for literally a few seconds before they started to become numb. After the first 4 or 5, my head was already quite numb and the rest were very easily to tolerate. From that point on it was plain sailing. I was in and out of sleep for the majority of my 11 hour procedure, and I found the pulling sensations strangely felt more like a head massage than anything else.

For the final implantation stage, Abhishek was my technician. From what I have read, almost every single clinic in the UK and overseas have this part of the procedure done by a technician. I was very happy to learn that Abhishek actually trained as a dentist before starting this role around 7 years ago, and this was amongst my deciding factors to come to this clinic.

Around half way through the procedure, I did have a brief faint spell. A couple of the staff quickly sat me down, raised my legs and got me some sugary drinks and chocolate. They were very calm and reassuring, and helped me feel fine within 5 minutes or so.

I am currently sat at home 1 day after the procedure, with minimal pain and swelling (touch wood). The clinic have already contacted me today to see how I am feeling, and I am returning there this afternoon for the first wash and for the aftercare information. I already feel so liberated having my hair off and, and I am so excited seeing the beginning phases of my newly restored hairline.

I know I’m in for a long wait for the full results now, but I am glad we have check-ins scheduled at 3 monthly intervals. I am also very confident that Dr Kumari will be there for any questions I may have in the interim. I loosely plan to return later this year to have my second procedure, and this time I certainly won’t have any anxiety about going back in!

Obviously I can’t attest to the actual results right now, just the service. However, Dr Kumari told me in the beginning that she guaranteed the results. Looking at the results she has from other clients, I’m hopeful they will look fantastic and I have a lot of trust in herself and the whole team. I’ll likely write another review further down the line once I start to see the results!
