Not Oak, Havea, MDF and veneers
A store called the Oak Bed Store and the beds are made with Havea, MDF and veneers. Shouldn't be allowed to trade under false naming conventions.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, despite never having purchased anything from The Oak Bed Store.
Firstly, we’d like to thank you for the two stars. Having noticed that the other businesses you’ve reviewed received just one star, we’re pleased to have exceeded your usual expectations!
In our 17 years of trading, this is certainly one of the more unusual reviews we’ve had the opportunity to respond to.
You are absolutely correct that our business is called The Oak Bed Store. Oak bed frames have been at the heart of our business since we started trading in 2009, and today we sell a wide variety of products, including 100% solid oak bed frames, other solid wood and wooden bed frames, mattresses, coffee tables, mirrors and other furniture.
Naturally, not every product we sell is made from solid oak. Like many specialist retailers, our range has expanded and diversified considerably over the years.
Most importantly, your claim is categorically false as every product page clearly states the materials and construction of that particular product, including where solid oak, other hardwoods, MDF or real wood veneers are used. This allows customers to understand exactly what they are purchasing before placing an order.
For clarity, Hevea, more commonly known as rubberwood, is one of the solid hardwoods used in some of our ranges. Where it is used, this is clearly stated within the relevant product description.
We have always believed in being transparent about the construction and materials of our furniture, and we’re very happy for customers researching our products to compare the different materials, designs and price points we offer before deciding what is right for them.
Thank you again for the two-star review and for giving us the opportunity to clarify points that are already quite evident.
After 17 years in business, it’s reassuring to know there are still new experiences to be had.
Kind regards,
Aaron

High quality furniture
High quality furniture. Competent delivery team. Must appreciate the furniture was delivered in 2-3 weeks after the order, unlike other brands we tried where quality and service were compromised.

The Oak Bed Store
Good quality product
We recently purchased an ottoman bed online and the quality is great, it’s a sturdy and good-looking bed! No complaints over quality at all. Only snagging points is that sometimes the instructions were a little confusing, and could be made better by some of the wooden pieces having a lettered label sticker to cross-reference with the guide. It took my husband and I 4 hours to put the bed together. Plus, one of the delivery boxes also had a large bird poo stain which we weren’t told about, then the boxes were put in our living room! That’s gross!

Really solid, looks great
Really impressed by how solid the bed is. Instructions were clear. It also looks really good. So, so much better than the upholstered ottoman I had before this. This one feels like it might outlast me!!
The biggest issue was the weight of the boxes if you’re trying to get it in the house by yourself! The other thing that would be nice is if the floor boards covered the full space. There’s about a 10mm gap, which is fine but given everything else fits so well and the floorboards are well made seems a bit of a shame.
However really pleased there was a good solution to getting it delivered to the highlands.

Hi Sam,
Thank you for such a detailed review. We’re really pleased to hear you’re impressed with how solid the bed feels, found the instructions clear, and are happy with how it looks. It’s great to hear it’s a big improvement on your previous ottoman bed!
We appreciate your feedback about the weight of the boxes, especially when moving them into the house alone. They are certainly not the lightest of boxes!
Just to clarify the point about the floor panels, these are fully removable and optional, and the small gap is intentional. This makes it easier to remove the panels without them catching or scratching against the frame.
We’re also glad we could arrange a suitable delivery solution for you in the Highlands. Thanks again for choosing us and for taking the time to share your experience.
Kind regards,
Georgie

Excellent service and a wonderful British bed! 🫶
I was looking for a bed for a long time and decided to buy a handmade British one. In 8 years, I haven't met a company like this. When a minor issue came up, they instantly delivered the needed part and were incredibly supportive throughout the process. Special thanks to Nina and Georgiе! The delivery company was also top-notch. Bottom line: I'm now sleeping on a wonderful British bed 🫶
