Thelightingshoppe Arvostelua 

We furnished the entire interior of our newly built house with light fixtures purchased from Thelightshoppe.ca. Out of all those fixtures we received, not one showed any sign of damage. The pricing was competitive and the choice was tremendous and quality of the products we purchased was top notch. Shipping time was acceptable, however delivery depending on the carrier was not perfect but mainly due to our rural address. However, having said that, the follow-up by Thelightshoppe.ca (in particular "April") was outstanding. We would not hesitate to order again from Thelightshoppe.ca and highly recommend to others.

Sent them an order on February 18 for a hard to find item that I knew had been discontinued by the manufacturer. I was hoping that maybe had one in stock that they could sell because they were saying that they had it. I sent the money in via credit card charge on their website, and several days later they answered it said it wasn’t available. They offered three alternate lights. I didn’t answer because what normally happens as I get the money back immediately. Then I just take my time going to find an alternate
In this case, they held the money. Several days later, they sent another note saying “have you made up your mind?”
Again, I didn’t pay attention because I figured they processed a refund and they were just trying to hang onto the sale

Days later, I checked my AMEX statement for the credit and I noticed it wasn’t there. I immediately reached out over the weekend (March 7 - 2-1/2 weeks later) , and expressed my shock at them not having processed it. Someone named ‘April’ said they would process it as soon as they got in the office Monday. They sent copies of the emails that they had sent to me” we were waiting for you to make up your mind”
This is a direct violation of FTC rules. If you’re doing business in the US, you have to follow the rules. If you don’t have the product, you need to process the refund right away. You could chalk it up to naïveté or lack of experience, but it’s clearly unacceptable behavior.
Plenty of good vendors out there that would never do this.
