Love it

Worth Price
I saw your product from Ozarkoverland. Matt was raving about it, as well as Brad of TrailRecon when he tasted it. And they were right. Meat was really tasteful. Wife and kids loved it. Definitely will recommend to my friends.

Quality is great
Quality is great. Delivery was uneventful...I was able to keep the meat frozen for 3 days in the insulated box.
I did have one package that was leaking when I opened the box, albeit, a frozen leak.

I bought several different bison…
I bought several different bison steaks. They arrived on time and even though it was above 110 degrees that day and had sat on my doorstep for a few hours, it was package well enough that there was still ice.
So far I have only tried one of the medallions. It was pretty good. Very lean. I could tell it would be easy to over cook. I can’t wait to try the ribeyes.

Shipping Concern - raw meat shipped hot
I purchased 2 medium sized Tomahawk Bison Ribeyes. As to the meat quality, my cook,..etc...it resulted in delicious meat...we truly enjoyed it and that was attributable to the high quality. The shipping was fairly quick - though when it arrived (and it was hot here in KC MO) I was worried about if the meat was still 'safe to eat'. I paid $40 to ship. So my expectation is that would've included something to keep them cold in addition to the vacuum seal packaging. The insulation was there to support that but nothing to keep them cold. In the end, it didn't matter but for the $40...it was an unnecessary concern that could've been avoided.

Hi Scott! Thanks for your order and your thoughtful review. We're glad to hear everything arrived on time and that you enjoyed your meat. Your order was definitely shipped with dry ice in it — all of our orders are. That along with the meat (which is frozen solid) and the insulated container should be more than enough to keep the meat frozen until it arrives at it's destination. I looked into your tracking number and based on the date shipped, and where you live, your order should have arrived Thursday, not Friday. We usually add enough dry ice to last an extra day in transit, but extreme weather can also play a role, as was likely the case here. As long as the meat arrives still cold, it is safe to consume. If you ever have doubts, please do not hesitate to contact customer service as we will always stand by the quality of our product.

I just fired up my barbecue to cook up the awesome and tasty burgers from the Honest Bison. I encourage everyone to try a bison burger at least once in their life, and what the heck try a venison burger too. EXCELLENT!!

I thought the shipping cost was…
I thought the shipping cost was excessive, so to buy one bison tomahawk steak it cost me close to $100. I know my husband will love the steak, but I'm sure that I won't spend this much again in the future.

The Honest Bison Elk Short Ribs
This was my first purchase from The Honest Bison. First, they are indeed honest. Second, the Elk Short Ribs were excellent. I braised them low and slow and paired them with some Anson Mills Grits and a good Merlot. Perfection
