Some boards had numbers painted on the sides but it wasn't obvious and couldn't find them on most so assembly was a bit tricky to start. The packaging came battered up and so was the van delivering the wardrobe so based on reviews I've seen I was worried already. Two doors had cracked edges but I couldn't be bother to deal with returning everything as it was a pain to get up the stairs and unbox everything to then pack it back up and send it back. They should really consider a different delivery company for their products.

I had a minor issue with a sideboard I ordered, and Robert from The Home Market was incredibly helpful from start to finish. He followed up promptly, explored both refund and replacement options, and resolved the matter fairly and professionally. Great customer service — very impressed.

I recently got in touch with Robert needing help with changing the time on a clock that I recently purchased. After a short time Robert got back to me and he had gone out of his way to contact the supplier for advice on how to fix it. He also provided an alternative compensation if the clock couldn't be accessed which was appreciated but thankfully not needed.
I would 100% recommend shopping with this company.

Robert went above and beyond to enable me to purchase matching furniture items. Tracked stock and listed on website so I could secure and held other item to ensure delivery together.
Was kept informed on progress and as Item ended up in stock sooner than expected was asked to select a convenient delivery date.
Followed up to ensure I was happy with everything once received.

I disputed the quality of a wooden console table on the day I took delivery, as it had a prominent defect on the table’s top surface. Instead of addressing my concerns directly, the seller initially tried to pass the problem onto their supplier, who proposed charging a £60 courier fee and a 30% restocking fee for the return.

When I reminded the seller that my purchase contract was with them, not their supplier, they refused to issue a replacement—even though their website showed more than 20 tables in stock. Instead, they insisted I return the item at my own expense and pay a 10% restocking fee, which I believe is both unfair and contrary to consumer rights.

This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. I wish I had looked at reviews before purchasing and chosen a company with a stronger commitment to customer service and product quality. I cannot recommend this seller based on my experience.

Packaging was excellent arrived quick

I ordered a revolving wooden bar stool. Unfortunately there was an issue and it had to be returned. This was dealt with efficiently from first phone call through collection and redelivery. Robert kept me updated at all times by e-mail. I am very pleased with the stool and highly recommend both the product and The Home Market. An example of a company who care and provide excellent customer service.

Bought 2 sets of two collapsible water bottles. They were well and securely packaged, and the bottles are of excellent quality. However, only 1 set (2 bottles) arrived. My email to the fact was promptly replied to by return and another email followed to say that the items have been packed and will be shipped shortly. Mistakes happen but how they are dealt with is the mark of a first class retail experience.

Ordered a lamp which was very fragile and I was assured it would be packaged well and it was brilliant in a big box with lots of wrapping it only took 10 days to arrive and I could track parcel right to door excellent service

I bought a beautiful clock from The Home Market. Unfortunately the clock was faulty and needed to be returned. I cannot fault the excellent customer service I received. Emails replied to promptly. I was kept fully informed as to replacement options and finally a prompt refund. Truly exceptional service.
