The First Aid Zone was founded by Stella Swindells; a qualified nurse, midwife and health visitor with a lifelong passion for teaching first aid skills. Her experiences over the years highlighted that so many people had poor knowledge and skills of emergency first aid, and that training was both expensive and difficult to access. At the First Aid Zone we believe that everyone should know how to respond in the event of a first aid emergency, with the sole objective of providing cost effective, yet high quality professional training for anyone who would like to learn. Based in Christchurch, Dorset, training can be provided at our many venues across Dorset and Hampshire, or at a location to suit your individual needs. We offer a broad range of courses from First Aid at Work to paediatric and family first aid. All courses have been designed by leading experts within the field of first aid, ensuring content and delivery is of the highest standard and up to date. Course materials combine the latest multi-media techniques with discussion and practical hands on approach to maximise learning.

Fantastic provider for First Aid course
Stella was a brilliant instructor: kind and friendly and made everyone feel at ease. This meant everyone felt comfortable asking questions and resulted in the whole class feeling more confident. The course content was informative and Stella's knowledge was incredible. She paused regularly to allow for questions and discussion and answered any questions clearly. Would absolutely recommend.

Great pediatric first aid course
Great paediatric first aid course with an excellent blend of practical hands-on training, discussions, videos, and a quiz. The trainers, Amanda and Shelley, were warm and welcoming, taking the time to explain and demonstrate thoroughly while sharing helpful tips and advice. I would definitely recommend The First Aid Zone.
The online theory element (completed before 06/09/25) was easy to navigate and broken down into manageable sections.

Amazing Day !
Stella did an amazing job with our group. Communication was very clear the whole group felt at ease, Stella was very professional efficient and exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend The First Aid Zone, overall this was an incredible enjoyable day.

I would highly recommend The First Aid Zone and have used them for a number of years.The training is delivered in a personal and professional way ensuring the trainee is comfortable with the environment and getting super results!
Having used the First Aid Zone at hotels the teams have fed back how much they have enjoyed the sessions and how at ease they were made to feel - not all companies get this feedback for this sort of training!
Administration is faultless and certificates are delivered quickly. They are also very flexible in delivery times for the sessions

Excellent trainers, saves time and money
Stella and her team have saves us both time and money in offering the combined course. We have used them several times now and all the courses have had excellent feedback. It is nice to be taught relevant rather than simply standard content.
