Met all of our needs: half the price of the bridal store for same dress, shipped on time and had easy tracking, offered a return if needed. Bridal stores won't let you return and neither will most online stores. It is risky to buy without trying it on which is why they allow a return with 7 days. Excellent experience!

The Dress Outlet prominently displays “Easy Returns” on the upper corner of their website. However, they have one of the most limited return policies I have ever experienced, requiring that returns be initiated within 7 days of receipt. I understand the need for the prompt return of dresses but this is excessive. It does not even allow for a reasonable amount of time to take the dress to be assessed for alterations. They seem to have a “no exceptions” policy even when contacting customer service. Thus, there is nothing particularly “easy” about their returns and this constitutes false advertising. There are many other more customer friendly retailers; I would recommend ordering from one of those rather than this company.

The dress was amazing! Yes the shimmer falls but not too much. I had to send back the dress 2 times! But the 3rd time was it. Customer service was amazing they replied back the entire time I wrote. I appreciate it every step of the way. And my niece looks beautiful in the dress!

Do not order from this site. Their dresses are terrible quality and their return policy is horrible. Have to return within a week for partial money back. I did so and they still said that it was not returned in time and kept my money. I even had to pay for a return label. Such a joke of a “company”.

Paid $135 for a dress to wear to my sisters wedding. It arrived missing a clasp.I reported this but had an accident and was unable to follow up. Recently I recovered and started to prepare to travel for the wedding. I put my dress on to try shoes and noticed the boddice stitching has fallen out. Instead of fitted boddice it was a lumpy mess. I contacted customer service, they refused to assist me. I requested an exception to policy given the dress was faulty and I had an unexpected emergency that prevented me from following up AND the dress had never been worn. They offered me $20. The wedding is in 3 weeks. Scam

If you're considering buying from here, please look at the discrepancy in reviews. A reputable company would not have this many one star reviews.

Here is my one star experience, short version:
-purchased two dresses but got notified that one was out of stock after being charged for both
-said two dresses were shipped, but only received one; they conveniently only provided tracking information for one
-poor customer service
-a refund that should have been processed in 3-5 days was processed a *month* later and only after I sent a tracking number.

My one star experience, detailed version:
- Ordered two dresses and was charged for both. Two days later notified that one of those dresses was out of stock in my size. I asked to exchange for a different size. They refunded me for this dress, then sent an invoice to pay again because that refund was a mistake. There were now two separate orders.
- Only received one dress. When asked when the second would arrive, they said:
"We shipped the dresses that were ordered - see below:

179617 -**cannot provide links in reviews but tracking link provided here**
Received last December 5, along with 180096.

There were 2 dresses here:
CDBD4003-Black-M
DD1270-Black-6

Unfortunately, we accidentally refunded you $69.99 and we messaged you about this and sent you an invoice to pay."
**Notice they conveniently only provided tracking information for one dress, although they claimed both had been shipped.**
- After providing them a detailed description of my issue and why they were wrong, they say "For item DD1270-Black-6 which you did not receive, we apologize. This was refunded already on December 1st." So, now that "mistake" of a refund was no longer a mistake.
- Returned the one dress I did receive. Was told refunds were processed within 3-5 business days. Tracking information said it was delivered on December 20. On January 27, over a MONTH later, I e-mailed asking why I had not been refunded. They asked for tracking information, and upon reviewing that, processed the refund three days later. I fully believe if I did not have the tracking number they never would have processed the refund.

This company has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. For the sake of your money and sanity, shop elsewhere.

I got invited to my cousin's wedding. I was so excited hearing the news so I instantly went online to look for a wedding guest dress that would make me feel comfortable, looks good but doesn't distract from the bride and groom. Since I was so determined to find that dress and I really didn't want to spend too much money, I found the dress outlet. I saw a lot of great looking dresses for not that much money. I ended up placing an order and got it in a couple of days It was quick! I didn't actually expect that. I immediately tried the dress on and it looked like it was especially made for me! I am worried about online dresses since places like shein get the sizing very wrong. This place did disappoint

Horrible. Spent $104, got a refund for $78. Plus, paid $4.98 for return label that was not provided. Customer Service takes 8 emails back and forth to get a straight answer. They are very condescending. Will see if refund actually shows up on credit card or if I have to dispute the charge. My advice is shop elsewhere. Clothing is cheap looking. Poor fit.

I had a snafu with an order-my fault- and a lovely woman from Dress Outlet called and emailed me to get it straightened out. Thank for going above and beyond!!! I will be back!

I bought a dress and it was just not going to work out for me—the fabric was scratchy and uncomfortable, it was so big on the shoulders, hips and length, but yet I could barely zip it up in the lower back. I ordered while out of town, came home a couple weeks later, opened it up within a couple days, tried it on, realized it was not going to work. I packaged it back up and emailed the company for return information…only to be told that I had a week to return it and that window passed. That is absurd! Absolutely bonkers. I want my money back and I don’t want the dress.

I stumbled upon this online shop a few weeks ago by accident, and to my surprise, a design immediately caught my attention. Initially, I had some doubts, but I couldn't resist purchasing the dress with its fancy ruffles and adorable skirt. Once I tried it on, I was delighted to discover that it was a perfect fit for me. I had an amazing experience buying a dress from here for prom! Although I initially had some doubts about whether it would arrive on time, I was pleasantly surprised. The dress arrived in less than a week after I made the purchase, and it looked exactly like the photo!

Update: In June, I returned the incorrect-sized pants received with the return label. It's been well over 30 days and I have to receive the replacement pants (correct size) or a store credit. 25 July 2023

I paid for a pantsuit and received pants that were 4 sizes different.
All I want are the correct size pants or a store credit for the pants, it's that simple.

The back and forth with customer service has been exhausting with me providing them the correct customer service protocols though my teaching is now over.
Yes like others, I've ordered two dresses that weren't correctly sized and had to keep them because once received they alert you that it's a "final sale".
I've learned now what to order to assure outfits were fit.
And in the case above, I'm not even asking for a credit card refund as I am loyal customer and at least deserve store credit for the incorrect sized pants being sent.

Omgosh I can not rave how amazing The Dress Outlet saved prom this year! Daughter decided last minute literally four days before prom she wanted a Ballgown Dress for Prom! The Dress Outlet overnighted the dress up me! I have never had any company go out of their way like they did! I will be getting my daughter Senior Prom dress here!! I promise not last minute. Lol I’d get her Senior Homecomibg dress but our other dress we had originally will be Homecoming Dress. Anyways you guys are amazing and again

This has been honestly the best online shopping experience I've had so far, and I shop online A LOT. My dress was shipped and delivered in 5 days all the way from CA to Jordan! Customer service is soooooooooo amazing! I sent them many questions and requests and they answered really quickly and made everything easier for me. On top of all that, they gave me an extra 10% for my future purchases. I am literally obsessed with The Dress Outlet. Thank you guys sooooooo much!

The support and understanding from the sales staff was amazing. We ordered 2 dresses and were concerned about delivery since these were for a cruise. The dresses arrived in plenty of time however one was ordered in the wrong size because we didn't notice it had defaulted back to a smaller size. They helped with setting up the return and shipping the proper size. Both dresses were AMAZING

The dress that arrived was too small. I didn't see all the reviews before I ordered. I returned and had to pay return shipping 23.00 and because I decided on a different brand of dress due to sizing was charged a 15% restocking fee to even get the other dress. They issued a store credit and because the new dress was less than the credit just had to leave the unused credit because what could I buy for 11.00 after they took out the restocking fee. Then shipping again was 8.95 and could not use the store credit to cover that so all around lost money. My advice go to a reputable site that does shipping and you can return to their store or if you return and decide on something else they don't charge some bogus restocking fee they are making a killing in the money they take from people! I will know next time to do my due dillegence.
