Waste of money. My cover didn’t even last a year when all the sticking started to come undone. The warranty department basically said it’s “due to lifting the cover with negligence” which made absolutely no sense as the stitches are coming undone all around the cover and not where you lift it from. Do not buy!! It’s garbage.

The worst company that I have ever dealt with in the 76 years of my life. I purchased my hot tub cover in June 2022. I have sent emails and telephone request since then regarding my hot tub cover top, which after six months of use takes a weightlifter to lift it up. I spent the extra money for an extra liner and bought the best cover that I could. Complete junk. Other than the standard reply we received, we have never heard from this company. Save your money and save a lot of aggravation and run away from this company. You could buy a piece of plywood with a tarp at a box store and build a better hot tub cover than they sell at thecoverguy.

HORRIBLE !!! They are more worried about making money than customer satisfaction!!! The "standard skirt" is not !!! Its so short it looks ridiculous and they wanted more money to make it longer ... I am very unhappy with my purchase ! Buyer Beware

Bought our 2 years ago and is already falling apart:( Stitching started to let go, starting to see cracks in the material. When you place the order, they have brands and sizes of different hot manufactures, you pick the brand and model you have, and you would just assume it would fit, nope. After 10 weeks our original email, we finally received a reply. They tried to blame us, wowsers, how's that for customer service. Offered us a "20% discount" for new skin. Yep, thats their 7 year warranty policy.😳 Complete junk, don't waste your money!

I echo what many have said about this company about comms, in fact, although my cover has more been delivered, it still say on the system it's in production, but that aside. They did what they said they were going to do, in the timescales they said.

The cover is such a much better cover than the tired, old one we had, we picked the weathersheild black and it appears a nice fabric, much nicer than the usual vinyl and on the one it replaces.

All fits nicely as measured properly, really pleased with thy fit and finish, looks very nice.

Guess we will see over the course of time how good it is and how long it lasts, but very pleased.

The delivery driver says also an absolute delight of a fella, very friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

Overall, despite my initial reservations ordering, they've done a very well deserved 5 star job. 👍

Beautiful stitching, beautiful fabric. Nicest cover I have ever had. Less then a year latter the Styrofoam is waterlogged and they told me it is my fault due to "chemical exposure" yes I do use a little chlorine in my hot tub. Big surprise there!!!! The blue "Upgrade" second layer of wrapping is rotted out. It was not the right material for this use. The inner clear plastic layer shows no signs of deterioration or any sign of being heat sealed. No wonder it was waterlogged in less than a year.....

Under the 7 year warranty hey offered a 20% discount to buy a new one. The last thing I will ever do is send them more $$$$

If you need a cover to last more than a year then this is not it.

Find out the total charge including shipping to your address, I paid $466.39 for free shipping on 5/8/24 then they sent me an additional shipping charge of $149.99. yes I am not kidding the additional shipping to my location came out to exactly 149.99! Of course I canceled the order, they knew the address when I ordered. This upcharge is deliberate and dishonest.

Impossible to place the order they did mistakes after mistakes
They charged me the wrong price two times on my credit. I had to contest the transaction with my credit card

I ordered a cover from this company . After contacting them due to no confirmation e mail they apologised and sent me it and told me they were working to a 8 week turn around. Week 7 I had a text from the courier company confirming that they will deliver tomorrow.
Found no damage and fit great ,can’t comment on quality yet as only had it one day but time will tell.

The worst Customer Service - I'm trying to buy a cover and you'd think they would actually want my money esp the $200 shipping costs that they originally said was FREE. My local hot tub company purchases from them and I am so bummed I went through with the charge with them to this company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM - but does anyone have any other ideas?

Currently going back and forth with emails about our faulty tri-fold hot tub lid & being told its our fault its broken as we lift the lid by the handles?? We actually have a lid lifter fitted to our hot tub and most certainly don't use the handles. I have a feeling this is a company who do not honour defects in their craftmanship after reading the reviews.

The seller is adding substantial shipping costs not disclosed when the order was placed. They also falsely stated the item was in transit for 4 months.

The 7 year warranty they offer is a joke. I have had my Hot Tub Cover for 2 1/2 years and paid $660. I even purchased the Combo Vapour Proof Barrier Seal and the seal leaked, the foam is waterlogged and moldy and the best they can do is offer me a new one with another 7 yr warranty for $665 or $567 with the remaining 4 1/2 yr warranty. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Purchase process went smoothly and cover was very nice, until 4 years in and its water logged and very heavy. Cover has 7 year warranty so I submitted claim with required pictures and descriptions and have not heard a word from them and it's been almost 3 weeks (customer service site says you will hear back in 4-5 business days). For the price paid it should last more than 4 years. Will but elsewhere

Wow I wish i had read this before! First it took forever to get the cover since it was custom made. 2 attempted times it did not arrive. They were very dishonest. Then they put the straps in the wrong place and it look back -- BUT the worst of the worst has been that in 5 months the stitching has started to come apart. There are literally holes on 3 sides. Clearly this i not normal since some of the areas don't ever receive strain. Until now, no one has answered a since email or phone call despite it being under "warranty" I'm going to report to the Better Business Bureau * DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS * I've had covers last years and years. They got some cheap crap from china and i paid over $1k for this junk.

I bought from The Cover Guy at the end of Covid (2022) when other suppliers were very backlogged. Saved a few dollars, but not substantial. After less than two years the leather on the hinge is cracking and separating. Naturally I contacted them for warranty help. Not! 1st, no response from the warranty email so I contacted sales/info. End result, they said this issue happens some times but it is not covered under warranty. They will be more than happy to sell me some material so I can repair it myself. NOT!

Don't buy from this company! My hot tub cover started molding right away. After reading some reviews looks like some others have had the same issue. I have been contacting this company for month about it. All they say is they are researching it. I have had two other covers in the past and this is not a normal issue. After reading other reviews I wish I would not have purchased form this company. I am going to have to buy another cover but it will not be from them.

I placed a order for a Floating thermal blanket after reviewing my order I Realized I had sent my order to my old address. I called and talked with someone to explain what happened. They verified my order had not shipped yet but told me it would cost me over $300. to simply change the shipping address and was to late to cancel the order even though it was not a custom order. So I had to call the people at the address it was going to and ask them to look for the package I called Cover guy to get a tracking number so I could get a better idea when the package would arrive, I got no answer so I left a message asking for some tracking information and a return call. I got nothing but Crickets. I was Intending on ordering a full Deluxe cover also But I think I will take my business elsewhere. No Thanks 👎

Once they have your $$ they couldn't care less about you if there is an issue. Can't talk to a person on the phone and take weeks to respond to emails. I've owned hot tubs for 30 years and have never had mold develop under my cover including the cover I replaced. Terrible service after the sale. I wish I did business with a place that takes phone calls.
