A great place to take your children. Whether it be a school trip or a camp in the summer with friends. Activities and food provided were all incredible and provided all with dietary requirements catered for. Would highly recommend for any outdoor lover

I’ve been working for the Bushcraft Company for 6 months and have found that everyone who works here is passionate about providing an outstanding quality of outdoor education with memorable and exciting residentials that are accessible to all.

Brilliant company ethos and the experience given to young people is fantastic

This was horrible the staff were actually so mena to the kids telling them to F off and told my tent that they were gonna drag us out our tents. we did little to NO activities which we were promised kids having panic attacks told to cry themselves to sleep and some being too loud made to wash dishes at 2 am also the food was disgusting and almost nobody ate one girl fainted 8 times from it and they wouldn’t let her call her mum . WORST TRIP EVER DONT RECOMMEND. Only one option for food so if you don’t like it then you don’t eat. Toilets locked kids doors being knocked on to get out. The supposed best trip of our lives felt more like a war camp.

The staff is horrible. They were so rude and the food was disgusting. Everything was just gross there. It was absolutely horrendous the staff I don't even want to get under that. They were saying to me and everyone else in my tent that they was going to drag us out of our tents by our hair

The promotional video provided by The Bushcraft Company promised to teach the children basic wilderness survival in a fun, engaging environment. The reality fell completely short. The "survival training" consisted of being handed firestarters to light a fire, only to be told they were not allowed to actually light it, followed by a basic tutorial on tying a tarp to a rope. The only physical skill learned was setting a basic trap. The rest of the time was spent sitting around with no activities, followed by an exhausting two-hour hike in intense heat with zero elements of "fun."

My son went here as part of a school trip and there’s was a lot of neglect and abuse. One child wet himself due to not being able to use the loo, kids being told to f@@@ off, items being taken from their tents by staff, personal food being taken and thrown or eaten in front of the child, panic attacks not being dealt with, missing medication, inadequate food and drink children being forgotten to be fed!
One girl passed out and was told to stop being an anxiety baby.
Food was awful and no choices as promised.
It was sold as an amazing adventure and ended with little activity and stuck in the tents and more like a prison of war camp.

0 stars if I could. I went here and it was terrible. There wasn’t enough food and the food there was tasted like dust, it was so bland that it would taste better if it was burnt. We got constantly shouted at and just sat on these uncomfortable low bits of wood. It is way too overpriced, I wouldn’t even come here if it was free! So much money for terrible food, boredom, being really hungry and dusty. It was so dusty you could hardly breathe so don’t COME HERE IT IS A HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!

I wouldn’t even give this place a single star but unfortunately I have to so I can write a comment below. My Son has come back traumatised from this experience where the camp leaders are absolutely awful disrespectful bullies. My son came back from the experience learning absolutely nothing apart from being able to piss his own pants because they wouldn’t let him go to the toilet. I’m absolutely disgusted with this place and will be taking forever action on getting this shit hole closed so no other poor children have to experience their hell camp that they have created.

horrible, I went for a school trip and it was advertised as "The best 24 hours of your lives!" and it was the complete opposite.
First of all the food, There was only one option and if you didn't like it it was too bad so sad. on the first day we had pasta which wasn't too bad but the staff forced some salad onto my plate that I did not ask for and that tasted horrid. on the second day for the breakfast it was again something I didn't like so I didn't eat (Not like I eat breakfast anyway) but lunch rolled around so I wanted something to eat obviously and all that they had was curry and I didn't like it so I again didn't eat and by this point I had been running around and I had not eaten anything so I didn't feel great but the staff made me participate anyway.
second of all, my school advertised it as something where you could do whatever you wanted but again the staff wouldn't let you not participate
third of all, the sleeping arrangements. The tents they made us sleep in were tiny and they made us fit 10 people inside so we looked like sardines all crammed together
fourth and finally, the first aid is not good at all. my friend who I spent the whole trip with hurt herself and they stuck an ice-pack in her sock and made her continue the activity

awful! tyis was advertised to my school as a 'fun trip where you learn ' but all I've learned is how horrible unsalted pasta is. We were told that we were going to be building our own shelter, cooking our own food, having freedom in a gorgeous woods but the staff did everything. i never built a shelter, never got to cook my own food. talking about food, this food left me never full and at some points i was doubled over in pain with how hungry i was (i get bad hunger pains) at night the staff treated this place like PRISON!! We're 12 not criminals!! There were 9 in my tent at once and i had to stare my friend directly in the eye the whole night. Me and my friends did the math and apparently this ONE NIGHT TRIP got 20,000 pounds in payment from my school alone yet this place doesn't even have normal toilets? i cried when i got home from how awful this was.

An amazing org to be a part of and what is delivered is incredible for children and their development.

THIS TRIP IS SO BAD. The food was terrible and no substitute options. My child, who is 132 cm at 11 (quite short and is insulted a lot) was made fun of BY THE STAFF, in a joke? ''Don't run, microscopic child'' which made him cry. He is also underweight and not many snacks were provided which raised questions from the doctor. No spaces in the tent as well, 15 people in one tent, and one shower a week. DON't look into this company and give non deserved attention to one that shouldn't have any to begin with. A pure waste of money and time. Please don't let this corrupt company plague your wages.

Worst experience.

My son told me that this trip was horrid. He said that the food was not the best although he liked the potatos. They promised loads of snaks but he only got one a day. Corry was very rude acording to my son he broke his friends wood log that he was going to give to his mum for her birthday that he worked on it for 2 DAYS!!!! and what he said after that was insane. He said "Just go to the shop and buy one not that important."

My son also said that instead of acctivites it was mostly 2 hour walks.

Absolutely rubbish and boring. the staff have no sense of humour and the food is disgusting. we had 11 in a tent. rubbish facilities .waste of time and money.

DON'T GO

I came with my school to help support the children. We did a 5 day residential and its was just fantastic. Our camp leader was Rodger who a bottomless pit of knowledge, very patient and a fantastic teacher. Our tribe leaders; Cam was brilliant with the kids and very approachable, George was a very calming presence and helpful to both kids and staff, Jack aka Lord Flapjack is a natural with the kids and had an infectious enthusiasm which encouraged even the most reluctant of children to participate. All of them provided a fantastic environment for learning. The activities were very engaging and interactive. I personally could of spend the whole summer there. It was clear to me all of the rangers and staff there have a good, close relationship and it made the environment of the entire site a positive one. Thank you xxxx

Mark, Josh and Freya deserve a huge raise. They genuinely made the camp better. Also the bagels guy or Gal was creeping everyone out. The food was really not the best, the water was dirty the activities were so mid and the tents were way too hot. Also the main yurt in the middle of each camp killed my back. The whole experience was alright but my back still hurts.

The staff were fine but most of the time they didn’t really have a good vibe. The food was just….. bad. The rice was very hard and grainy. There was a night talk before we went to bed made us all quite scared and we couldn’t get to sleep. In the result of this every time we talked the camp leader would shout at the top of his lungs when we were only 10 meters away. Also the toilets were vile. They only emptied them once a week. They were disgusting when we got there. Disgusting during and disgusting when we left.

I’m sorry if you're going on a school trip here. It’s not a very nice place.

My daughter went on a school residential trip at the Boughton woods site and thoroughly enjoyed it however before the trip we were made aware to label all items and If anything was left behind they would post it back for the cost of delivery. My daughter took her brand new inflatable sleep mat which has tags with name/ school etc and it never made it from the trailer back on to the coach. Along with several other peoples. After weeks of phone calls and emails from myself and the school I was simply ignored. I was told on several occasions the person that deals with this would call me back but nothing. This was in the summer! I appreciate that things can go missing but the customer service is non existent. I wouldn’t recommend anyone taking anything with them that they might actually want back.

6+ years of delivering a great residential trip! Great staff and an amazing experience for the kids. Would highly recommend this to any school!
