The Hearing Care Partnership - Shepton Mallet Arvostelua 3

This was my first time having a hearing test, having experienced a sudden reduction of hearing in one ear and associated increase of tinnitus. I had seen my GP, but the prescribed meds did nothing and I felt I needed a professional assessment. I was seen at Shepton Mallet and the tests and overview given by Nikisha Oladipupo were very thorough and all my queries were addressed, making the overall experience extremely pleasant and informative; I even had a brief trial of using a hearing aid, which is something I had dreaded. However, there was no pressure or expectation to buy, and a referral request letter was provided to my GP.

I bought in-ear rechargable aids after the consultation. These hearing aids are extremely fiddly and high maintenance. They frequently get blocked by ear wax and often fall out. They don't help with my hearing either, amplifying unwanted noise in a way which is very unpleasant. The NHS ones are much better.
The advice and aftercare service is very poor. They do not respond to emails and the 'personal service' from their local advisor does not consider the personal needs of the user (I have severe dexterity issues with both hands and was never going to be able to manage these hearing aids).

I have had a hearing aid for over six years and it broke plus it didn’t seem to be helping me. So decided to try another company hence contacted The Hearing Care Partnership very local to me. The subsequent hearing test was very comprehensive and nothing like I have received in the past, I was so impressed that I decided to sing up and replace my hearing aid with the very latest. Was given excellent advice on what was best for me, cannot Thank her for the total professionalism she showed throughout, so now have my new aid as it’s fantastic and transformed my hearing. Certainly would recommend this to others.
