The whole process, from survey to completion, was handled professionally, and we are very pleased with the end result. Not cheap, but worth the money.

We ordered 4 double-glazed sliding sash windows with Woodcraft Windows. Our house was built with wooden sliding sashes but sadly someone ripped them out in the 1990s and installed uPVC instead. I got quotes from a number of companies and replica windows were three times the price of Woodcraft Windows. I didn't want more uPVC - even the sliding sashes look plasticky in my view. It was a long wait for delivery but we wanted a quality product and so chose this firm over others.
Unfortunately we are not happy with the installation of the windows or the size of the bathroom window in particular. They are very deep from outside to inside and protrude into the room.
The bedroom curtains hide the issue but our bathroom window looks ridiculous as it protrudes into the room by 3 inches and looks like it has been fitted into the wrong position - the outside alcove is quite deep. I cannot hide the depth of the window with curtains in a bathroom and having looked forward to my lovely new window at the top of the stairs, I now close the door to hide my embarrassment and I feel that I have been taken for a ride. I have had an expert window installer look at the windows and quote for moving the bathroom window back into the alcove but he says doing this would damage the integrity of the brickwork and has advised against. His view is the window is the wrong size and we should never have been sold this size window.
The workmanship on installation was very shoddy - the so-called 'making good' was nothing of the kind. The workmen smeared decorators caulk several inches away from the edge of the window and the bathroom now needs redecorating. In 2 of the bedrooms a similar mess was made with the caulk and the filling was dreadful.
They also knocked off a load of tiles from our dormer window which cost nearly £2,000 to fix and claim it was not their fault because the house is so old. They couldn't get the window up the stairs, despite a site survey having been carried out, and refused to get any safety equipment to fit the window from the outside. They used ladders instead and brute force, which I think is why the tiles fell off.

All in all my advice would be to avoid this firm.
We have waited 6 weeks now for them to come and sort out the damage to our decor and they have now cancelled a second time at the last minute, this time citing a job over running as the excuse. Why didn't my job overrun so that you didn't need to come back Woodcraft?
I have some large windows still to replace and I will most definitely not be going to Woodcraft Windows. Having forked out £3k per window to get a quality product, I am reconsidering uPVC - that's how bad a job this firm has done!
I have given them two star because the windows look nice from the outside and they seem to work well in terms of sliding open/ closed, locking, keeping out the drafts. The mandatory air vent is also very good and doesn't show on the outside. If your original wooden sash windows were 155mm and you need to redecorate anyway you might consider this firm. If they were the standard 122mm be aware that even if they do a good installation job, the windows will protrude into the room. It is not a good look on a small bathroom window and you may as well leave the horrible old uPVC in place rather than trying to get the original look again.

For the second time the team at Woodcraft did everything perfectly from survey, to order, to installation, and follow up to ensure all was to our satisfaction. They are not the cheapest but neither should they be given the quality of the product and the service. In the end quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Woodcraft windows were top quality from the first interaction to the last. They did everything they promised in the time frame they quoted. I was particularly impressed with the quality of craftsmanship when they built the alcatrading around the windows from timber when they were being installed. All the work men were prompt, polite and efficient. i'd highly recommend this company.

We have just had (June 2023) sash windows supplied and installed by Woodcraft Windows and we couldn’t be happier. The whole process from initial quotation to completed installation was excellent. The windows themselves are superb, the installation team of three very polite and hard working men cleared up after themselves so we’ll that we barely needed to do anything after they had gone. The pricing was competitive and we were happy with the phasing of the payments.

It was a pleasure to deal with Woodcraft Windows from beginning to end. We asked them to replace and match our 1930's front and side doors. We are very pleased. Not only are the doors a perfect match and of good quality, they are insulated and sound proofed and it makes a huge difference. We would also like to praise the work of the fitters for their tidy job.

An excellent service from beginning to end. All our many changes whilst planning were never a problem and Vadim ensured that we were entirely happy with everything at every stage. We are so pleased with the windows and doors and with the efficient installation. Vadim met with the builder to ensure the new openings were accurate and that there would be no problems with fitting which was completed on time despite concerns regarding delays due to shortage of materials at the moment. Follow up so far has also been great with a phone call to confirm that we are happy with the product and confirmation that they will be available for any future concerns.

Woodcraft Windows built new French doors for us. The whole process was excellent; rapid response to first contact, very friendly and professional, everything on schedule, really efficient installers who checked with both us and the project manager whenever they had queries and kept us in the loop, etc. And we are completely happy with the product. After much soul searching, we selected woodcraft windows to design and install a new entrance door. We iterated the design a few times before we finalised the specification we wanted. We are delighted with the design and the two guys who installed the door were brilliant, clearly taking pride in their work. They were polite, cleaned as they worked, minimised impact of the new door on the surrounding area, and made good any minor repairs. The door opens and closes effortlessly. Great job well done

Woodcraft are not the cheapest, but they are 100 % reliable. They are tidy workers, make a really good job, commit to fix things if asked. This is third job we have given them. Hopefully no more as we have replaced the old door and windows! However, I cant recommend them highly enough. We dealt with Vadim this time, really professional and helpful. I honestly would never go anywhere else.
