**Hey! Here’s my honest take on Testbirds:**
I started using Testbirds because I was curious — you hear about people getting paid to test apps and websites, and honestly, it sounded fun and easy. So I signed up, filled out my profile, and waited for projects.
At first, I was *excited* — the platform looks nice, the tasks seem cool, and they promise you can make money just by giving feedback or finding bugs. I even got a few invitations in the beginning, and that felt awesome. I completed a couple of tests and thought “okay, this could actually work.”
But then reality hit a bit…
Here’s what it *actually* felt like:
📌 **The good stuff**
* When I *did* get a test, it was interesting — sometimes I’d be trying out a new app or website feature, and it didn’t feel like work at all.
* The tasks were usually straightforward — click around, try stuff, talk about what you see.
* Payments that *did* go through were legit — I got paid on time to my PayPal and it was nice seeing that money hit my account.
📌 **The not-so-good stuff**
* The biggest problem? **Not enough tests.** After the first couple, invites became super rare. Some weeks I didn’t get *anything* to do — just crickets.
* I also had a few where I completed a test and then they said “sorry, not accepted” — even though I followed the instructions perfectly. That was frustrating.
* Sometimes they ask for very specific profiles — like only people who use a certain app or are in a certain country — and if you don’t match, you don’t get picked.
💸 **Earnings**
Honestly, you won’t get rich from Testbirds. If you’re lucky and get picked often, you can earn a bit of pocket money. But for me? It was *patchy* — a bit here, a bit there, nothing reliable. More like a small side hustle, not a steady income.
🌟 **Overall vibe**
I’d say **Testbirds is legit** — it’s not a scam, and I did get paid for the tests I finished. But it’s also not as consistent as some people might hope. It’s fun if you’re doing it as something extra, but definitely **don’t depend on it for regular money.**

I find Testbirds reliable and fair.
I have been testing with Testbirds for several years, and overall my experience has been positive. The platform itself is quite complex, but if someone is not comfortable dealing with that, testing might simply not be the right field for them.
If you apply as a tester, it is definitely a good idea to register as many devices as possible and keep your operating systems up to date in your device list. Even then, there are many cases where you are not selected for a test. Sometimes something takes longer than expected — but that is simply part of this kind of work.
Whenever I have been selected for a project, everything has gone smoothly for me, from communication to payment. Overall, I find Testbirds reliable and fair.

Testbirds didn't pay me for my test
I was accepted for the test "share your thoughts in the recording for a well known automotive website", i completed the test and submitted my report on it but later on i got a message saying i was not selected for the test, meanwhile this is a test i was already accepted for, participated in and submitted my report on it.
I reach out to support several times but they didn't get back to me.

Mainly positive experience
I’ve been testing for Testbirds occasionally for the past few years, and overall it’s a great experience. The platform is easy to use, the instructions are clear, and communication is smooth. Payments arrive without issues, and the tests are usually straightforward.
One small thing I’d love to see added is an option on the dashboard to hide past or irrelevant tests — it would make navigating available tasks even easier. Other than that, I’m really happy with how things work here.

Seriöse Test-und Interview Plattform für Nebenverdienst
Testbirds ist eine geeignete Plattform um seine Meinung zu teilen, Unternehmen zu helfen und sich ein kleines Taschengeld dazu zu verdienen. Man sollte es keineswegs als Minijob ansehen und festes Geld einplanen. Ich habe immer Spaß an des Tests und Interviews, an denen ich teilnehmen. Durch eine Vorabfrage wird geklärt, ob man geeignet ist, also wird man nicht für alle Tests ausgewählt, für die man sich interessiert. Man kann aber auch selbst auswählen, für welche Tests man sich bewirbt, entweder weil es vom Thema oder von der Zeit passt. Die Tests sind immer super organisiert. Ich bin schon einige Jahre angemeldet und immer sehr zufrieden.

Eine gute Testplattform
Ich arbeite schon länger auf der Plattform und bin zufrieden. Es gibt sehr unterschiedliche Tests mit unterschiedlicher Bezahlung.
Manche sind aufwendiger, manche eben nicht.
Ich finde es immer spannend, welche Aufgaben mich erwarten. Da ich schon etwas älter bin 😁, halten mich die Tests auch geistig fit und ich achte nicht so sehr auf die Höhe der Bezahlung.
Die federführenden Lead-Birds waren bisher immer sehr nett. Manchmal wünschte ich mir eine bessere Kommunikation, grade weil viele Tests über das Wochenende stattfinden.
Die Abrechnungen erfolgen immer pünktlich.
Ich bin gerne dabei.

Ich bin seit Oktober 2018 als Testbird aktiv und nehme regelmäßig an Tests teil – vor allem aus Interesse, Lernbereitschaft und Spaß am Ausprobieren neuer Produkte.Leider muss ich zwei Sterne abziehen:
1. Die Vergütung liegt deutlich unter dem gesetzlichen Mindestlohn.
2. Der Aufwand für die Bewerbung und Freischaltung zu einzelnen Tests steht in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis zum tatsächlichen Verdienst.
Wer auf das Einkommen angewiesen ist, dem würde ich Testbirds nicht als Minijob empfehlen. In vergleichbarer Zeit lässt sich mit anderen Tätigkeiten deutlich mehr verdienen.

Testbirds als Geschäftsmodell ist eine sinnvolle und gute Idee.
Allerdings,
die Bezahlung ist schlimmer als sparsam.
Rechnet man sie auf den zeitlichen Aufwand um,
liegt man meistens weit unter dem Mindestlohn,
obwohl man in der Regel eine qualifizierte Arbeit abliefert.
