Shocking company in terms of customer service. Purchased an item from them 10 days ago and no received any communication other than the order confirmation. Sent them an e-mail on 20-Oct asking for clarification - no reply as of today. Shop elsewhere!

This company also use cashyourphone. I sold, under good faith, an iPad pro for £570. The condition was as new. Never used, just didn't like Apple as an android user. They offered £272 stating the 5G reception levels were weak. I asked for the item to be returned. They immediately went from £272, to £326 to £480. I still refused. Now I can't pay the £20 as their payment system doesn't work. Now raising a case with trading standards and possibly small claims court

This company is the biggest scammers they claim they for talk talk but all they do is rob from the elderly and vulnerable people which is not right 🤔 John Furlong is and manager who help with these sorts of things.

Oh my goodness, I wish I had read these reviews not the 5 star they show on their Cash your Phone site, offered £80 paid £38 and my phone was immaculate, this is a scam , do not use them, learn by my mistakes, they are corrupt illegal and have no morals, I am a 70 yr old woman and took them on trust, more fool me, DO NOT GET CAUGHT!

Con artists!!! Don't send them you devices, they make up faults with ur devices and then offer you half the amount they quoted you. Needs shutting down. Go by the names of cash your phone, tech mania and others. Disgraceful!!

This is a scam company! DO NOT SEND THEM ANY DEVICES! Also run under several company names and using UPS as their mules! Needs shut down! They tell you your phone is faulty and offer no where near as much as its worth and they provide no proof of faults! Cash your phone was the brand they used on this occasion!

Please listen to all the negative reviews about this company. They are complete scam artists and will find any reason to swindle you out your money. I had to get the police involved as I sent them a phone they denied it had arrived even though the tracking number said it had. After that they just stopped ignoring my emails.

Scamming people. Avoid big time. Said my device was broken. I sent off an imac in immaculate condition an iPhone and iPad. Total £240. They offered me £62 saying that every device was broken or damaged. Lies. Stay well away…..

Would give 0 stars if I could. Also goes by the name "Cash your phone". The website will give a higher offer than other websites. However when your item is received they will give you a much lower offer, usually with the same excuse "speakers crackle at high volumes"...utter lies. And they want £20 to send back the item (which they don't, judging by other reviews)

Threathened them with FCA and Trading Starts and they increased the offer to the same as offered by other websites. Stay away.

Do not use this company at all cost, as I sent my 10 month old Samsung tablet in as they offered me £120, and they then knocked it back saying they were shadows on the screen. They then offered me £60.
So I had to pay £20 for it to be returned what a scam.
I sent the Tablet back to Samsung as it was still under warranty, and they sent it back to me with a message that they were nothing wrong with it.
Make your own mind up what you think of them, but they should be shut down by trading standards....

My review is the same as all other people on here for this company, AVOID at all costs.

I had an old Samsung S7, the back cover was cracked but no where under any of their good/poor/faulty criteria mentioned a cracked back cover only a cracked screen which are 2 different things. I classed my phone as poor because of this but under the poor and faulty criteria, nothing else listed was applicable to my handset. I got an email saying they were only able to offer me £20 as the handset did not come under the criteria I had chosen on their drop down box on their website. Upon replying to them, I copy and pasted each criteria, I typed at the side that each statement was not applicable to my handset. I finally got a reply after a week saying the best they could do was £24.00 so I emailed back and again asked them to put their reply to each of the listed criteria. Again I have received a reply totalling ignoring my request for their comments and saying as I have refused their offer which I actually haven't but I haven't accepted it either. I need to pay them £20.00 in order for them to release the handset which I did see in their Terms and Conditions. I also stated that if I did not get a response I would report them to the Advertising Standards Agency for false advertising, Trading Standards, the Financial Service Authority and Companies House, this went totally ignored too so to anyone reading this review, please do the same.

Would give this company 0 if I could, complete scammers, under the guise of several different names. Offered a ridiculous amount for my phone, threatened with Trading Standards and then doubled their offer, that in itself clearly shows they were trying it on. It was still far less than I was expecting, sent endless emails without response, felt pushed into a corner in the end to accept. Read horror stories of people paying for returns and never getting their device back. What alternative was I left with? Just hope they don't treat their, mothers, daughters, sisters with the same disrespect, though they probably do! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE VILE AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED

This company, goes under the name of Handset Recycle and Tech Mania are nothing but con artists. They will NEVER pay you what they quote on their site and will question the condition of your item no matter what condition it's in.

They then charge you £20 service fee if you reject their ridiculously low offer.

After having no joy at all getting the phone returned, I reluctantly paid the £20 and they are now ignoring my emails and have not returned the phone.

DO NOT USE TECH MANIA OR HANDSET RECYCLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Like everyone that has written a review, if I could give 0 stars I would.
I am another sucker to this scam.
Inflated offer of £245 for my son's iPhone 8+, there are two small cracks on the screen, other than that it was in full working condition, it would be reasonable to knock the price down maybe £50-£60, but the counter offer was £56 (which I declined immediately), then it was re-offered to £65 or to pay £20 to get your phone back, I have made a bank transfer of £20 on 12th August, however the account they gave me to pay came up as TechMania.
It is impossible to speak to them, I emailed repeatedly and always got the same reply to send them £20. I also found out they have appeared on Rogue Traders! I have made a complaint to UPS as this is criminal activity. UPS passed the receival confirmation (see attached) but it was showing the company name and address were not matching. It was showing that my sons phone has been delivered to 3 Mather road, Eccles in Manchester, but on google maps it shows that that address is a takeaway. I have phoned the takeaway and they have stated that they have nothing to do with the scam artists, however, they did say that there was an alleyway that they might share.
I have filed a report to Citizen Advice and have informed UPS that this is a scam company that will damaged their reputation, also I will report to Manchester police, local council and Watchdog.

Ho dato fiducia a Techmania sulla base del fatto che il NEXUS 5 16GB era disponibile in 5/10 giorni lavorativi, e comunque non avendone urgenza, potevo approfittare del prezzo basso aspettando anche di più:
qui, purtroppo per me, inizia l'ODISSEA dell'ORDINE:
Oridne effettuato in data 30/01/2015 a mezzo pagamento con bonifico bancario; l'ordine viene validato il 03/02/2015 ma purtroppo allo scadere dei 10 giorni lavorativi, e dopo una serie di email, il 17 febbraio Techmania mi comunica che l'ordine sarebbe stato evaso entro il 06/03/2015 (più di un mese dopo la validazione dell'ordine); non avevo urgenza...ho atteso...altro errore, il 09/03/2015 non ricevendo nessun aggiornamento da Techmania, scrivo...e comincio a ricevere email preconfezionate con scuse, buoni da spendere, promesse...etc, ma dello smartphone nemmeno l'ombra!; la mia pazienza scade in data 30/03/2015 (dopo ben tre mesi dall'ordine) quando, a mezzo PEC, invio disdetta dell'ordine per INADEMPIENZA CONTRATTUALE, in quanto l'ordine non è stato evaso entro i trenta giorni indicati sul sito.
Adesso inizia l'Odissea ancora in corso del rimborso:
Vi risparmio tutte le mail con risposte preconfezionate, fin quando mi comunicano che avrei ricevuto il rimborso in data 24/04/2015; ho atteso...ma dei miei soldi ancora oggi nemmeno l'ombra...e Techmania da 15 giorni mi risponde così: LE CONFERMIAMO L'AVVENUTA EVASIONE DELLA SUA PRATICA....senza un CRO perchè il loro ufficio amministrativo non fornisce questi dati...ed io ancora oggi aspetto...
vi aggiornerò ed aggiornerò anche su altri siti...non solo su TRUSTPILOT

TECHMANIA SITUAZIONE MAGGIO 2020
Salve ho acquistato sul sito Techmania nel lontano 2015 precisamente il 29/03/2015.Dopo due mesi di attesa ho annullato l'ordine e preteso il rimborso.
Non l ho mai ricevuto.
Quindi ho effettuato nell'ordine,denuncia querela per truffa e iscrizione al fallimento poi,una volta appresa la notizia del fallimento.
Attraverso ricerche on line ho appreso che i soli fortunati che hanno riavuto i soldi spesi in tempi rapidi sono solo coloro che hanno richiesto il cashback nei tempi previsti dalla normativa,ottenendo quindi,almeno per chi aveva pagato con carta di credito il riaccredito delle somme spese.
Non avendolo fatto nei tempi concessi dalla normativa sto tentando anche attraverso ABF di riaverli con questo metodo stragiudiziale,ma essendo nettamente fuori tempo la vedo ardua.
Ora venendo alla situazione giudiziale la situazione è la seguente:
-PER CHI SI ERA ISCRITTO AL FALLIMENTO
Non vedrà un euro.Il fallimento Techmania aperto gli ultimi giorni dell'anno 2015 è stato chiuso a marzo 2020 per mancanza di attivo.
I pochissimi soldi ricavati (11000 euro) sono stati destinati a pagare i pochi professionisti che hanno curato il fallimento.
A fronte di debiti che superano abbondantemente il milione di euro nemmeno i creditori privilegiati vedranno qualcosa(stato,fisco,dipendenti ecc.).
-PER CHI HA FATTO DENUNCIA QUERELA PER TRUFFA
Pare che l'intera famiglia di ANDREA MILITE- l'amministratore della società -sia stata incriminata per associazione a delinquere finalizzata alle truffe on line e alla bancarotta fraudolenta.Dovremo vedere se costituendosi parte civile recuperiamo qualcosa.Sempre che non sia antieconomico rispetto alla cifra spesa,in ogni caso,testimonierò al processo affinchè sia fatta almeno giustizia.Vi terrò aggiornati se riuscirò,dopo 5 anni a recuperare qualcosa o meno.
